Very interesting thanks, in that case I would need the chronograph to get the velocity meusurements of both 9mm & 40s&w, because the Sellier and Bellot boxes never say anything about their power only when you look in the Internet the sellers say the 9mm 115gr = "1180" and the 124gr = "1100", and with the 40s&w 180gr = "968" (maybe its the truth).
@@jacktheshark7440 from s&b site it shows 124gr @ 1181mv with 382me, and 180gr @ 968mv with 375me. its not much of a difference but the 40 should be well into the 400me range. it lists the 115gr @ 1280mv with 421me, and 165gr @ 1027mv with 387me. seems they have a bias towards the 9
That was interesting. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Thanks Bobcat Forever! Merry Christmas. 🎅
you need to do a video of all the same weight bullets
Now I'm curious what a 125grain 357 would do being faster, and also more comparable in bullet weight to the 9mm
But still really cool to see this
@@joerandella2526 I did shot a 125gr fmj two minutes later (because I felt frustrated with the 158gr result) and it went through clen-cut.
@@jacktheshark7440 Oh wow thats cool to know, thanks

Good video
Nice comparison ...

@@jacktheshark7440 , good video .. I prefer 40s&w/357 Sig pistols ... but have enough 9mm

s&b loads the 40 weaker than the 9. that kinda defeats the purpose of shooting it. would be ok for range play but still not getting your money's worth

yes it is good dependable stuff. nothing wrong with it as long as you know what you are getting. good job on the video btw
180 Grain Commercial FMJ will be under 1k FPS ... some hotter loaded hollow points may exceed it but you're gonna pay for em ..
