@@wiserlivingrealty My hubby has worked for them for over 7 years, and he has NEVER had a problem, except for weekend dispatch. With Prime, your dispatcher works for you and if they aren't doing well enough for you, you can change dispatchers. My husband LOVES his dispatcher. He moved to leasing to keep him, rather than staying a company driver and switching. In fact, his whole fleet changed over to being lease drivers to keep him. When you work for Prime, they will train you for your CDL and it's costs you 1 year of service with them. If you stay for a year, you're good and don't have to pay for it. They offer great benefits, the owner is a fantastic man named Rob Lowe who loves to play basket ball on their court with the drivers all the time. They have several facilities that have laundry, showers, a spa, exercise equipment and more. Family are also allowed to use the facilities. The selling point for me, as a concerned wife, is that if it is unsafe to drive, you call dispatch and inform them you aren't moving. They will fix your appointment time and no harm done. You will NEVER be penalized for being safe. They give awards for that. My hubby just got his 1 million mile safe driving award and is also a trainer. They pay the highest per mile wage for company drivers as well. If you want to drive, go with Prime Inc.!

Honestly, one of the BEST parts of the job is caring about the people you work with! There is SO much that they come equipped with! AND great pay??? Who doesn't need more of that? 😂

I'd love to see a video about the best small-town living within an hour of Springfield or the best place to homestead near Springfield. I've got big dreams about a farm-to-table restaurant.

Honestly, what a great idea!!! We will add it to our list. If I had to tell you off the top of my head, I already recommend a few places. Ozark, just South of Springfield, is known for it's small businesses and is very welcoming for those who want to have one! There's also Republic, just Southwest of Springfield. It has a LOT of growth opportunities and the size is expanding rapidly there! If you are wanting a VERY small town, I would recommend either Strafford which has some pretty cool little shops, or even Willard!!! One of our favorites that also has some business growth over the past few years! These are just off the top of our head. Honestly reach out and our team can even speak with you if you are serious about trying to find a place perfect for you!

When working at Walgreens , Battlefield /Campbell out of towners would ask where “Pro Bass” is , I would say you mean Bass Pro, (some would argue) but I would ask “ are you from the country or the city? It is 6 city blocks or 1 country block down the street) just to give them an Ozark Experience- Question about The Bass Pro it seems they hire until the insurance kick in 6mths later, do they get Corporate welfare for hiring a certain amount of people even though they’re letting just as many go when their insurance kicks in?

Do u have engineering and construction companies in Springfield?

  • @jasonwilliams8321

Reality - most companies in SF -pay way less than the national average. I was in grad school with a lady who worked at the local Best Buy store (she was finishing up her masters part time). She was actually based out of Minneapolis but her work was something corporate in SF. She drove a nice SUV and appeared to be pretty well off. I asked her one day about her job and she said that she was paid on the Minneapolis pay scale and she actually made way more than the Springfield Best Buy store manager. She said that there's no way she could even take an upper level management job at the store there because she'd have to take such a drastic pay reduction. That's sadly the story in most Springfield area businesses. While most of the country has moved on into the 12.00 an hour base pay Springfield is still stuck at $8.00 an hour. I couldn't live there and get ahead. Had to move out west. Now with my own business and working part time I make more than I did working 3 jobs locally in Springfield.
