Those are my 3 Azteks at 9:33 Owned 4 in total and still drive one to this day! They're much better than people originally gave them credit for. So many great features about these Azteks. Back turns into a tent. Has a lot of storage area inside. Heads up display, sunroof, power seats, power mirrors, 9 speaker stereo system with steering wheel and rear controls, removable cooler, fold up and out rear seats, air ride suspension (some models) with rear air compressor, multiple power outlets and much more. People thought they looked ugly then but have a cool look now.

I actually have an Aztek - and its my second one. My first I bought at an auction for $1500 and I drove that for 6 years. When that one died last year I got another given to me as a gift. It was a picture car on American Gods (last seen season 2 episode 2) and she has been in three movies since then. (I am an Assistant Director for Film) - I love my Aztek. She's getting older now but still has all the bells and whistles :0)

4:06 Fun fact, you can disable the pre-2010 escapes by hitting the passenger side door really hard. There is an inertia switch that detects a crash and will shut off fuel but can be used to disable early 2000's Fords. The more you know!

I knew that. How did I know that? Because I was doing an audio install on my 97 Ford F150 and when I got done the truck WOULD NOT START. It worked fine before the install. What in the actual fuck? Well, turns out I had bumped the fuel shut off switch. Now ya know.

Up to speed on Chrysler 300, that car started in the 1950s so it should have a good storyline.

Everyone hates Chrysler but truth is, they're often pretty well done cars with a lot to offer. Love our Town & Country and I've loved the 300 for years!

Worked on one a few years ago. Ride was actually nice and it even had HUD option(Heads up display, digital speed readout on windshield etc). Needed the 3.8 engine tho
I personally own a 2001 Pontiac Aztec it has 300000 miles and it runs better than my moms 2020 Chevy Cruze with 35000 miles on it . I had a few issues with overheating but I threw after market cooling on it and now it runs cold with a super charger on it it is my favorite vehicle ever
Ive had 2 aztecs, 1 fwd and one all wheel drive. The awd was a tank. It went everywhere in ice and snow in the hills of pittsburgh. Loved that thing. Then i went to driving 6 different trailblazers. Needed body on frame of trailblazer to tow.

I know this video is 2 years old. I absolutely love the Aztec. I will take pictures of them on the road, and show my brother in-laws. Everyone thinks I’m crazy. I was ecstatic when I saw donut media has a video for Aztecs. Love all your shows.
IDK what's going on, but as an avid outdoorsman, the moment I heard that the Aztek came standard with a tent and air mattress that could be quickly installed in the back of the vehicle it became so much cooler to me. I don't get how just that one feature doesn't immediately tell people that this thing doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I guess too many people in the US, or just from my generation, feel they are "too good" for camping or something? I grew up camping in tents with family, so having one that will always stay dry, that has a built in air mattress, and even has a removable cooler to keep said tent stocked with cool drinks makes this a _much more appealing proposition than anything at the time, as well as more appealing than most crossovers that have come out since then. From what I've seen, even the companies that do "Overlander Conversions" don't have any offerings that are this cheap and simple for those of us that (unfortunately) genuinely are at risk of having to live out of our cars in the near future.

Im watching this vid as im parked right next to a bright yellow aztek. Made me look this up. I knew there was an up to speed about it.
I had a 2001 pontiac aztek and it had A LOT of electrical issues. The most common one was the horn going off outta no where while driving. Kinda embarrassing when it happens going past a cop parked at 12:30 at night and then he stops to see if your ok just to find out he got on the radio and told other cops what happened and i pass another parked cop down the street laughing and looking at me as i pass him

My first car at 17 years old was a 2005 Pontiac Aztek. I got it solely because of Breaking Bad and despite its mechanical issues, it was a FUN car to drive around in. The space, the features, the comfortable seats. People hated it for its looks but I actually didn’t mind it. The Aztek will always have a special place in my heart and to this day whenever I see one on the road it makes me smile.

long time ago me and some friends were skating around in a cul de sac when we all heard this insanely loud noise of pure destruction coming our way we all had no idea what it was. It was a mix between chalk board screech and a train ripping through the ground. moments later we see a pontiac aztek pushing itself down the road with one whole wheel missing as it dug into the pavement the dude had drove over 4 miles home with 3 wheels leaving a trail that tore the crap out of the ground.
GM didn't care what their customers thought.

2008 was a wild year for entertainment. We had: The Dark Knight, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Wall-E, Handcock, I am Legend and Breaking Bad. You never really think that these all came out in the same year. Especially not The Dark Knight and Breaking Bad. Feels like Breaking Bad came out in 2012 for some reason.
When I was 9 I thought I was going to parking lot pimp with one of these. But getting addicted to meth ruin those dreams.

Im noticing a trend that Pontiac was a head of there time and they made some awesome cars but they were under appreciated I also feel that GM held Pontiac back severely and if Pontiac had been it's own company they'd probably still be around today

I actually owned its cousin the Buick Rendezvous for a few years. It was super boring by comparison to the Aztek, but it got through snow quite well. I had the FWD version, but it was pretty good on gas and hauled all my stuff. I even slept in it at events a couple of times. All around a decent car.
I like the rendezvous more, the third row is nice and the interior is better
I used to go to an orthodontist office that had a house next to it, that house had a lowered Pontiac Aztec with gold paint, red wheels and red window tint, on top of that it had a wing on the back.

The wiper mounted squirter is a great idea and used on many brands. They were not the first either.i recall road and track having said "the Pontiac Aztec is like a vagina,. kinda ugly on the outside but once your on inside it's nice."

@@aljaberhk No vinyls, just pure color to make it look clean. What i want to do is to put the 3800 series 2 engine with a 3.2 pulley, 4X4 and see if i can find a good 5 speed manual to install it to the engine for the front and rear differential.
