  • Hello and welcome to my channel. My name is Cliff and I'm an Australian gem cutter. In my spare time I also like to prospect for gemstones. In this video I go out with a friend in a remote part of the Australian bush in search of crystals. If you enjoy seeing more of these videos, for a few dollars a month becoming a patron is great way to support and maintain a small independent channel like mine. Patreon link below. Best Wishes Cliff

And now this wonderful small cristal we found in this lab in the harbor area. Its common these places and is often called methia by christal enthusiasts.

That seive has some mighty big holes in it.... Only after the big ones eh? Any diamonds, gold specs or Sapphires will fall through. Without giving too much away, what part of Aus is this? North Vic? Loosk like you could have flicked a few trout lures.

Yeah I was crying when they put that all through being a good prospector myself. Thinking of all the pickers they must have washed away but then again could be no where near any gold but would have missed some good gems

Thanks John. I saw some black sand on the shovel in one spot, but there were no gems. I know what you mean, I did a lot of gold panning in my younger days. I still have my old sluice box.

In Victoria where he is you need a mining licence to do any sort of prospecting. It's not expensive but the fine for getting caught without is very pricey.
