Just found your channel and the first video I clicked on was where you found the beautiful tool rock that you put back. I'd never heard of that being that I live in the U S but I thought it was a beautiful idea to record it and leave behind. I grew up in New Mexico and rock hounded in the desert by my house as a child. I used to find small fire agates and lots of quartz pretending I was a geologist or archaeologist. Now at 59 I again live in the desert in Arizona and found a wonderful fire agate spot. It's a lot of fun lots of oohs and ahs every time. Love your adventures, your sweet voice and that beautiful smile. I'll be here to enjoy it more often as a new subscriber ❤️
Hey rookie my sweet, the golden slipper at 4.20 mins! Like wow! Cant wait to see the cuts and polish....I was in SE QLD recently for family reasons 😥 and found myself looking at the mountains and wishing I could rockhound the creeks! No such luxury here in SA....but its all good eh!
Ohhhhh Allyson I’m sorry for the reason you had to come up here. I wish it was for a happier reason and you had more time. I would have loved to take you out to some creeks. Maybe one day 😉
Hiya Jessie, awesome video dude! Beautiful finds, hey is the water still a little cold. Lol I know that look on someone's face when the cold water hits that spot 😅, it's all good. I hope you have a great blessed day mate. Cya!
@@Rookie_Rockounding yes I do know, lol it's happened to me a lot of times, once I was walking on the some ice, I was trying to take a short cut, the ice cracked and I broke through, it was just up to my nips, as soon as I got out my clothes were freezing too my body. I sucked them up so hard, I think they were in my throat. 🤣 good thing was my truck had dry clothes in it, that was probably the coldest I had ever been. Brrrrr just thinking about it.
Awesome adventure wow you got some real eye catchers which I’m sure are going to give you some spectacular looks yup that one does look like something 🤣 amazing how one can see things one way and the way back it is wow how did I miss that thanks my friend for a great adventure

Rookie Saturdays are here to stay! Haha I almost slept in till I remembered I had a rookie viddy to watch!😄 yay!!! Dude! That catfish would have made me 💩 myself... Dark creepy thing swimming in the water... You would have seen me running on top the water to get out of there lol 3:25- that core is a perfect specimen of a thunderegg vertebrae! 👌nice one 4:30- that beautiful carnelian reminds me of ones we find round here... That one is so pretty! 6:30- nice tuby! 8:15- I loved it dry but as soon as you got it wet my mouth dropped...the colors in that...wowza! 9:45- oh my word! Don't you wanna just wrap it up and swaddle that little baby... So darn cute...even the little guys possess so much beauty! 12:20- that one more walk payed off...what a stunner✨💕 This was awesome J! Great way to kick off the weekend. It's cold and wet season here so it was also nice to see some sun shining... Cheers to another from my brotha! 🍻 Have a rad weekend bro🙏😊
Hahaha! Ah yeah, honestly Mar, you deserve that sleep in, the video will always be there for you 😉 I’m the biggest sleep in King! Just ask Carly haha! Yeah that thunderegg core was the first biggish one I’ve found. Normally it’s Benny’s area of expertise haha! And the carny is definitely so similar to what you find. I just love their colour right!? Dude! 6:30 IS a Tubey! I didn’t even mention it, or even realise it! Sweet!!!!! That big Galaxy stone is one of the fullest I’ve ever found. Don’t know how well it will stay together when it’s cut but it’s fully loaded haha! And yeah, all of us hounds, always want that “just one more” but it rarely happens, I couldn’t wait to share that. Haha the catfish, so I only was able to film it BECAUSE I 🧆 myself (couldn’t find the poop emoji haha!) it bumped my leg and I was like “okay, this is how it ends, I’m gonna be attacked by a water beast from the deep, and I’m not even filming...” “oh... it’s a catfish phewww!” Haha! I hope your weekend is being kind to you guys Mar, sending love to you Josh and the familam my rock sister!!!!!

Great stuff as always Jesse! While you're right that rhyolite is the host that produces thunder eggs, and basalt doesn't, you can get regular old chalcedony and even agate in fractures in rhyolite as well! 6:20 Ooo! Neat impression! 8:00 Demonetization agate! 9:40 that's a brilliant piece! Love the little spherules still intact! 10:50 That looks like an agate from rhyolite to me! 12:00 I call that "one to send me home". I know that feeling well! Gorgeous Chunkee!
10:50 dude, that was one I’ve looked at so many times because I haven’t seen that kind before. It’s delicate goodness, and now I know it’s from Rhyolite, I’m even more learned cause of you dude! Have o told you lately how much I seriously value you man?
@watsisname I have to agree hey, I treat them like buddies that I get to find and who found me. It’s weird but I’m cool with it. So are they I reckon. Haha! 😁👍
Beautiful finds. I found 2 agates the other day over here in alabama that look like little mushrooms in the button stage. The bases, trunk of the mushroom is clear and then just the head has a banded pattern of brown, white, yellow, orange, and clear. Ill upload a photo later when im home but i was so stoked to find them, im gonna make one into a necklace for my wife, and theyre already naturally river polished.
I'm developing a healthy love/hate relationship with all your damn creek adventures! SO many times you'll lift a stone that looks just like one I've found here in the desert, and I want to yell "Jesse! Look! I have one like that!" ...but I can't because I'm parched from scouring dry, dusty arroyos. What a blessed little corner you have to play in. Also, you let the spider go free but what about the little Caddis fly larvae at 00:24 and 4:11? HA! You bulldozer!
Haha! Mate Mychael, I love your chats dude. I reckon a rockhound in the desert with you would be right up my ally dude! Ha! ITS A CADDIS FLY LARVAE! I never knew what they were!?!? I do my best man, those ones at 00:24 and 4:11 were released humanly back into their natural habitat by shaking the rock beneath the surface a few times. I hope so anyway. I always try but there has been the odd caddis larvae cadaver that has been found in the rock bag long after the hunt.😳😬😔🙏
Oh man, I definitely feel for you guys during the cold season. Our cold is legitimately just a balmy “chill” compared to the snow. I’m jealous of the melts though that refresh the rivers and creeks over there dude! Since I started recording the hunts, we haven’t had a rejuvenation of the creeks here. It only happens with big rains but we’ve been dry for sooooo long. 😳😬
I love coming along on a virtual adventure with you.
Thank you mate! I hope you had a good hunt the other weekend bud 👍

Thank you for sharing with us. So you open my eyes, becouse for me this gems was on beginning only stones. Maybe I loose a lot of pretty and precious gems. I didnt know, why a lot of people are going with eyes on ground. Now I know...😀👍🖐 good luck

Ohhhhhhh thank you T! That’s so cool, like you were right there with me!
Thanks so much for sharing your adventures💞❣️
So nice to see nature... 💞
Of course the "one more" was the find of the day!
Aye! Thank you mate! Yeah I got lucky with the “just one more”. Normally it’s a learning curve of trying to remember to be grateful regardless of finding anything else. But that one was a mega pleasant surprise haha!
Such a sweet creek adventure. Big smiles, and the occasional happy dance.
Blessings the continuing success🌿
Haha, nothing like a solo happy dance in the middle of a creek 😉😂
Always so lovely to see nature at her best!
Can’t agree more Cherie 😉
Good stuff Jessie..i really enjoyed this laid back edition.
Thank you wayneo!!! Have a rad week ahead mate!
Good Saturday morning 🌄 Jesse , what an awesome way to begin my day. It also such a good feeling when you allowed that little spider to continue on with his day .
Lloyd my friend, I’m glad to spend the start of the weekend with you mate. It makes me happy brother. And yeah, you’ve gotta be friends with all the critters when you’re a guest in their home 😉
I hope you’ve had a great weekend and an even better week ahead mate! Sending love bro!
Looks amazing, no sun for us today lol. Loving those rocks 😁🏴

Great Rocks!!

Sabbath peace
Absolutely brother.
Dang! Cheers from Colorado!
Cant wait for the nxt cutting vid now xxx
Another good hunt mate. You are becoming quite the video artist with your filming . Makes it all the more interesting. Love from Calif.
Thank you for the big compliment brother. Thank you very much. Much love from my home to you bro! Cali was my birth place man. 👍
Good finds!
I'll be here to enjoy it more often as a new subscriber ❤️
much love all. Amazing Nature Ty .i share
Lucky you !! 😎 awsome finds !!
Maybe one day 😉
Yes I thought the same... A beautiful white and burnt orange slipper.
Woooow!❤️
Good video my friend
Fun to watch! I love rockhounding!
That's an awesome creek! How I wish there was one in my town to collect rocks.
Can you say baby bootie.. lol.. hello Rookie.. beautiful creek.. nice video... peace to you and your...
Haha! I didn’t even think that when I found it but it’s so obvious now 😂
Thanks Yvonne, I hope your weekend has been kind 😊
Hiya Jessie, awesome video dude! Beautiful finds, hey is the water still a little cold. Lol I know that look on someone's face when the cold water hits that spot 😅, it's all good.
I hope you have a great blessed day mate. Cya!
Hahaha! Oh mate, you know that feeling! Haha! It’s warming up here but that day, let’s just say it was cold enough to know 😳🤣
@@Rookie_Rockounding yes I do know, lol it's happened to me a lot of times, once I was walking on the some ice, I was trying to take a short cut, the ice cracked and I broke through, it was just up to my nips, as soon as I got out my clothes were freezing too my body. I sucked them up so hard, I think they were in my throat. 🤣 good thing was my truck had dry clothes in it, that was probably the coldest I had ever been.
Brrrrr just thinking about it.
That thunder-egg 'yolk' is super cool. Really enjoying your videos!
“Thunder-egg Yolk” I love that! Haha!
Thank you mate 👍
Awesome video! So glad to see you. I love that I get to go rock hounding virtually. ♥️
Naw thank you Margie! I love being able to take you along for the hunt 😊
Awesome adventure wow you got some real eye catchers which I’m sure are going to give you some spectacular looks yup that one does look like something 🤣 amazing how one can see things one way and the way back it is wow how did I miss that thanks my friend for a great adventure
Hahahaha! I’m so glad someone else saw it too Miles 🤣 I was really hoping I wasn’t the only one haha! Have a great weekend and week ahead my friend!
Wow great job sir. The chalcedony stone look beautifull 😍
Hello from the Idaho in the 🇺🇸. I always get excited when I see you've posted another video. You really found some nice ones! Hopefully you will cut some of them for us to see. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Oh Mlani I know the feeling with some of the channels I follow and I have to say, it’s honestly surreal that someone else feels that way with these posts. I’ll be cutting soon, just in the middle of moving house 😔
But I’m hoping the new place has as good a view as this one haha!
Rookie Saturdays are here to stay! Haha I almost slept in till I remembered I had a rookie viddy to watch!😄 yay!!!
Dude! That catfish would have made me 💩 myself... Dark creepy thing swimming in the water... You would have seen me running on top the water to get out of there lol
3:25- that core is a perfect specimen of a thunderegg vertebrae! 👌nice one
4:30- that beautiful carnelian reminds me of ones we find round here...
12:20- that one more walk payed off...what a stunner✨💕
This was awesome J!
Love your videos. Snow on the ground here.😢
Wish I could go to Australia.
Happy hounding mate. Lol
✌&❤
Cheers Sue n Doug! I hope it helped warm up your days a bit 😉👍
@@Rookie_Rockounding sue here. It really does. Winter here. But seeing your videos makes a big difference. Peace and love to you and your family in Australia.
Makes me happy just to watch, favorite of mine is the thunderegg. So exotic. Nice to see a bit of summer here up in the north. Winter is coming in Sweden
Oh Sweden!!!! G’day from down here!
Great fun watching! We’re covered with snow so rockhounding til spring for me!
Awesome watching you..! Such a gentle spirit…! ❤️
You must have one of the greatest collections ever! I would love to see it all.
Oh I love all the rocks I’ve found, I just need a massive shed to display them all haha!
@@Rookie_Rockounding Put them in a greenhouse. Let the light shine on them.
Hey that’s a great idea 👌
Bucket list item for real
That was fun! One of these days I'm going to try this for myself. So exciting every time you spot something!
Dude I’m gonna rewatch this now with your blow by blow commentary. 😉
6:20 dude that one when I got it home, I realised that had it not tumbled through the creek, it would have had columns of druse.
Duuuuuuuuude! So demonetisation agate haha! I’m so glad someone else saw it too 😳🤫😂🤣
Ah man 9:40... you know I left that in there for you brother, so much goin on in that lil beauty.
10:50 dude, that was one I’ve looked at so many times because I haven’t seen that kind before. It’s delicate goodness, and now I know it’s from Rhyolite, I’m even more learned cause of you dude! Have o told you lately how much I seriously value you man?
Australia has got some really cool geology👍✌
Man, it really does. I’m amazed and humbled each time I go out into it.
Your videos rock! I never knew Australia looked like this that’s awesome I didn’t know it had so much green lush
Hey thank you mate! Yeah it’s got so many amazing different landscapes. Thanks for coming along Logan!
"bloop bloop bloop"
"chunka chunka"
I love the language of rockhounding!
Haha! The ancient dialect of the amateur geologist 🤣
When you speak fondly to the rocks the best agates will come out. :P
@watsisname
I have to agree hey, I treat them like buddies that I get to find and who found me. It’s weird but I’m cool with it. So are they I reckon. Haha! 😁👍
Would u be up to sale one of u rough stones?
The last one was pretty awesome! Cut or tumbled it will look great!
Yeah, lucky last hey 😆🤞
Beautiful finds. I found 2 agates the other day over here in alabama that look like little mushrooms in the button stage. The bases, trunk of the mushroom is clear and then just the head has a banded pattern of brown, white, yellow, orange, and clear. Ill upload a photo later when im home but i was so stoked to find them, im gonna make one into a necklace for my wife, and theyre already naturally river polished.
They sound SOOOOOO cool Stephen! Petrified mushrooms haha!
Saludos ROCKY 👍!...
Thank you mate!
the one at 6:30 is what we would call a Tube Agate here in Minnesota
Yesssss! That’s what that is! Thank you Wolf!
You have the best attitude man, you truly are a great guy! The rocks are just added bonuses.
P.S. the "added bonuses" are breathtaking by the way!
@@Rookie_Rockounding ...bring your own water, bro.
Very much jealous of your sunny, warm weather. I'm headed out for a hunt this morning and it is 24 degrees (F) right now. Cheers man!
