- a 'sabaton' is the armour that goes over a knight's boot. It may have originally been a French word. They are generally classified as 'power metal'. - Primo Victoria was the title of their first big hit. - this video is more over the top than they usually go because it was sponsored by the online game World of Warships, so they had a significantly larger budget. But their videos are usually pretty good. - The Bismarck was the flagship of Nazi Germany's fleet. this battle happened in 1940, early in WW2. A plane launched torpedo (as depicted) damaged their rudder and the Bismarck was unable to move full speed. The British navy closed in from all sides and pounded the Bismarck for hours until all of it's guns were knocked out of commission. The crew chose to scuttle (deliberately sink) the ship rather than let the British capture it. - supposedly, the Captain of Sabaton's ship is the grandson of the survivor with the pocketwatch. - Yes, the ship was named after the German leader (and who basically united a whole bunch of tiny little city states into the nation we think of as Germany today) - The Bismark was one of the largest (possibly _the_ largest) Battleships in Europe at the time.
The Bismarck was indeed the largest ship made by a European nation. I think it still is the largest made by a European nation but don't quote me on that.

The Bismarck had a sister ship (that means there was a ship of the same class, in this case the Bismarck class battleship). The Tirpitz. After the Bismarck was scuttled (meaning the crew sunk the ship to prevent it falling into enemy hands) the Tirpitz was kept in a covert naval base in occupied Norway to project power through it's mere existance. On the 12th of November 1944 two british Lancaster bombers managed to land two bombs onto the main deck setting it ablaze. The fire spread to the munition storage of one of the heavy guns causing a massive explosion.
