Loved the vid Kerby, been fixing my own cars for the past 40 years of so and never get bored of just watching and your struggles !!, Don't make em any shorter, great stuff, well done.
Another great video, Kirby. Thank you. I do like the weekly videos because they have a certain amount of continuity. But you can get them out to us, whichever way suits you best! Either way if fine by me. A mug of tea and a slice of cake and I'm well happy. Proper entertainment.
Great video as always. Duration depends on when you upload really. During the week short ones might be best for those who try to watch a few videos from subscribers. Weekends, longer videos are good as I personally, have more time. Love the fight with the air filter! Goes to show that sometimes the 'simple' jobs are a real PITA. Keep up the good work
Nice work mate just keep on doing what you feel is right, I watch it regardless of the day of week or video length as it is interesting to see what another mobile guy gets up to. Even if the viewers do not have time to watch the full video in one sitting they generally return later that day to watch the rest (well i do anyway) 😂 Cheers
Personally, I like your content for its educational value in terms of mechanics, especially for anyone out there who’s interested in how cars work etc. for the entertainment value as well, you’ve put your own stamp on your content and has your own little quirks here and there (especially on the beeping Audi 😂). Along with the help of Mrs Kerby editing some of your content has its own entertaining quirks which is always a good laugh. Around the 30 mins mark seems to be optimum, but also the great thing with RUclips is, with the “continue watching” feature, viewers can always come back to where they left of, so it’s all good. Keep up the amazing work and content 🙌 A very happy subscriber and customer 😊
Hi Kirby! It's always interesting to watch you perform, perhaps mix and match a bit with some of the more interesting work you do. Thanks for sharing, ❤It 👍
I hear you on the cancellations/rearranging. Had a week of rearranging, cancellations, time limits on jobs, family stuff/commitments, wrong parts, and traffic jams - oh and a 2019 Peugeot partner additive tank that wouldn’t program in - possible online programming only on the auto 6 PSA vans apparently. Totally rubbish week so I feel your pain! People don’t appreciate the amount of effort and stress it causes when they rearrange or cancel I also did exactly the same with an Audi on the panel above the drivers feet 😵 had to replace speaker and clear the fault. Pooed myself when it first happened until I realised what I had done! Glad I’m not the only one!😂
I think generally 40/45 mins is prob the longest the video should be, maybe the hr sometimes if covering the whole week. Personally, I watch them all regardless. I’m enjoying your content anyway! This video was done well with showing the little tips and tricks and skipping the mundane procedures but cutting back in showing the tool reclining the calipers and re closing them, etc. Looking forward to your future vids
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic great to see mrs K just coming home from the butchers with your steak 🥩 all ready for you when you come home from a hard day 😂😂hard to find women like that Kirby and sheez dam good at the editing too 😂👍
Hi I got this issue with the SLK 230 y03 it's squeaking on the rear offside a rubber squeak you can hear it at low speeds and when you push it up and down on the rear wing, could I have a issue with the spring top section plate? I did have a look at the bushings in the wishbones top and bottom they seem ok by site. Is there any issue with the spring getting it back if I release the shock absorber I don't need to use any spring compressors Just Jack it up I suppose let me know if that's a problem, Spring is separate from the shock . You are you in HW I'm not far away from you could pop over. If you've got a garage why do you use mobile van so must be very uncomfortable. I had an idea of putting a lift on a side of a van if you're interested in building it you'll need Outriggers. I can track down you a van very cheap and good with Service, if you're interested anything from a candy to a box fan. And at a good price! it would help me out I need the commission let me know make a model you're looking for I can get back to you with price.
I’m ok for what you’re offering at the moment but thank you, in regards to the merc you’ll need to get the wheels off the ground and check for play with a pry bar or something mate 👍🏼
Incredible how you managed to work out that thing with the cable-tie holding the circlip closed whilst you slid the driveshaft in to place.......would love to know tho', how did you manage to close-up the cable tie hard enough so that it closed the circlip. Did you hold the circlip shut with circlip pliers then do something else with the other hand or have you got one of those cable tie closing tools that closes cable ties to super tightness? And also, how on earth did you cut the cable tie off with so little room left? A hammer & very sharp chisel?
The cable tie closes the circlip enough and doesn’t take much effort to be honest, also it’s possible to get the shaft back in without that trick but can be a pain, and Just some normal cutter/pliers did the job on this occasion 👍🏼
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic Thanks Kerbie, I guess part of what makes you such a good mechanic is that you don't feel any fear doing any of this stuff whereas I'd be agonising over how to do it, you just go and do it!
