Today, we're teaching you how a simple Korea Tuna Recipe. That's right - we'll use up those tuna cans that are buried deep in your pantry. With a few fresh ingredients and the right amount of eggs & flour, we can make a delicious Korean-style Jeon (Chamchijeon - 참치전). Make a fresh batch and serve it as banchan with any Korean Hansik meal. Crispy on the outside and tender in the inside - amazing!!

Katie just gets more and more beautiful everyday both inside and out. I'll give this tuna recipe a try. Growing up my mom would make something similar called "Tuna Surprise" and if you didn't like fish and unknowingly bite into one....it would definitely be a surprise. She used Veg-All as a filler making these patties hard to get down. Fond memories though for sure. Thx for the instructional. Stay safe.
“Wooden spoon arts and crafts” 😍 I love Katie’s energy too
Katie is so precious! ❤ the dish. It's simple to make.
I'm obsessed with KT's energy in these videos!
You guys are so funny🤣😂...I love it! ~grandma, watching from Norfolk, Virginia~

5:52 "haaiisstt!" 🤣😂😇🤩🥰
I am in the US and have gotten that brand of Gochujang tuna (and the jajang one) from my local H-Mart. Such a great quick healthy snack!
H-mart is God's gift to Korean food loving people everywhere
I lived in Korea for 3 years and the 1st time my central broadcasting speaker went off, I had a literal heart attack! 😂😂 I thought there was a fire or some kind of emergency, but no… there wasn’t 😂
Katie, this is YOUR COLOUR!! This recipe turned out so great, super delicious for a quick meal :) Thanks as always!
Howdy, guys!!! Perfect for Lent and I just did a haul at Korean Market & got good deal on the tuna and kimchiiii 😋 yesterday! Thank u👏🏻🤠

Been following you guys for some time. Thank you so much for keeping these cooking approaches and recipes incredibly approachable and delicious. Everyone single one of them has been my jam. Much much love from the Bay Area!

5:34 "dip dip" so cuteee
Katie, man! 🤣 I’m definitely trying this one. Including the burger idea.
ps I would NOT be happy about that announcement! Unsolicited advertisements in my own home?! Seriously?
Nice recipe! Makes me reminisce. My dad made something similar when we were younger, he used canned salmon but it was also tasty.
6:15 Those loud speaker public announcements in Korea ARE hilarious!!! 🤣 When I first heard it, I was expecting to hear about an emergency, but some Ajussi was selling something!!🤦♂️🤔😆
This looks amazing! Making it today 😊 also you two are the cutest ❤️❤️love from Canada
i LOVE TUNA PATTIES ! ATE IT AS A CHILD. STILL MAKE IT TODAY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING❤.
Awesome recipe!! I paired it with miso soup . Sooooo good
Always a classic. ❤
I tried making this a few minutes ago…it’s really good and there’s no fishy aftertaste at all. I love tuna but I only make tuna salad so this is a welcome addition to my tuna repertoire. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Great recipe!
It looks so good 😍
I wonder if you could make this in an air fryer? Looks so delicious!!
Chaotic Katie is a joy!!💜
Omg 😭😭 I used to make these all the time. Brought me back to my high school days.
Great, 3 am now and i want this 😅
Hooray! I was just wondering what to have for a Lenten Friday supper. This is perfect!
EDIT: I made a half-recipe for one person (me) and they were delicious! Of course. I didn't expect otherwise.
Another great recipe 😍

very good!
I go to the Korean market here in the US to get the different tunas. Gochujang, kimchi juice, veggie, sometime they have black bean paste too. The kimchi juice one is my fave
Katie is particularly hyper today! I would be if I knew tuna fritters were on the menu!
Yummy!
Oh Katie I love your vitality and humour, dont stop.....☺️
I love tuna cakes i only use potato and tuna with eggs and flour
So Im Going to try these for sure
I must have missed this recipe

We tried this tonight! It's also so good wrapped in seaweed. 🤤
Oh that's smart. Thanks for the heads up

Katie aegyo overload today so cute
I love adding kimchi to mine!

Oooo that other type of tuna I need. And I might need to buy more tuna. Me keep eating it. So easy good tasting food from it

That announcement at the end ... hahaaha.
You guys have gotten slimmer recently! Eating so good, looking so good 😎
Katie is super cute!!! I want a tuna fritter hamburger too!!!
We do this with canned salmon and make an onion gravy for them eat it with grits.
Voces dois formam um casal muito lindo🙂
Cool guys. Lol. Love the hype Katie!😅😅😅😅
The Y2K comment made me LOL
Good video
Hey you are so good, happy to watch your videos, thanks for sharing. a fellow creator...
What about subbing the flour for potato starch, would it make it crispier?
She is like one of those Uber happy K-drama girls. Lol love the recipe though. Bet that rocks with kimchi
love the recipe, but kate IS GLOWING!
You have recommended an online Korean grocery store but I can't find it again. Will you please share the name of it with me?
Katie was wild as hell 😂😂😂
6:48 -- *YOU DIED*
xD
I know it’s probably a stupid question but is Korean tuna any different tasting from the American tuna brands? Aside from the flavored ones.
OOoOo, could you air fry this? If so how?
y2k was 22 years ago.
Still not convinced the world didn't end
It's funny that you mentioned Y2K because I was in Korea at that time hoping the world was not ending 😳😄
Ohhh….man! Canned salmon also works well like this.
형님 돌아오십쇼
These look easy & delicious. My favorite combo lol. Since you did put carrot in there - after they are cooking does the carrot even soften at all? Just didn't seem like enough time for it to soften. I def think these would be tasty if the carrot came out softer (unless it did lol). Also, is that a common thing in Korea where you get announcements? Do all apartment buildings have it? That would scare me all of a sudden hearing a voice out of nowhere lol
yes, the carrots cook through in the heat and get soft. As for the annoucments, they have them in most apts~~ but are used only for major annoucments and emergencies~~ but somehow, ours operates differently 🤣
@@FutureNeighbor thanks for letting me know about the carrots lol. I really want to make these. They looked so tasty!! And sorry that yours are advertisements. Hopefully it doesn’t become too frequent!
Right before Y2K I got a bunch of credit cards and maxed them out thinking that all would be wiped out on January 1, 2000. Oh the nativity of my 19 year old self.
I think mixing in bread crumbs or crushed up crackers would give a better texture instead of flour.
Nope
So much background Action going on today: battery off, Katie dropping something, then the loudspeaker announcement. But Daniel, unphazed, calmly navigates through the vid. I bought Tuna before watching it, probably on the menu tomorrow! But still, what did Katie drop?
can we replace carrots with corn?
Drain it well, shouldn't be a problem.
yes
@@annainspain5176 Noted. Will try it out. Thanks.
@@luci4087 Thanks
Y2K… we had a bunch of water saved.. then nothing happened after midnight
The North Korea comment killed me. Little Kim is trying to make money selling knock off watches to the south. Lol
Have you ever explained your lack of accent?! Regardless, what an awesome show!
Are you fine?? Long since I have seen you 🙄
Hyper wife, happy life.
Is Katie okay? Sounds like she bonked herself pretty good.
I think we all live in North Korea now 🥺
I normally wouldn't do this, and I want to preface that I love your videos and I've learned a lot of tricks and techniques, but what's the deal with the prices on gochujar? Almost $40 for a bottle of Ottogi sesame oil you can get for less than $10 in the US? Almost $35 for a jar of Ssamjang you can get for like $7? I can keep going... I'm all for supporting small businesses but this seems like you're straight trying to rip people off who might not know better. If there's a specific reason the prices need to be so high I'd honestly love to know.
She looks 30 something and acts like a 6 year old…
Oh I would do this for sure! For a GF recipe, I would use potato flour vs wheat flour.
