    I play most of my golf with original hickory shafted clubs. My go-to 'modern' set are 1971 Spalding Top Flite irons, soft forged irons with remarkable feel and feedback, made in Chicopee MA. These are real sweethearts. Try 'em!

      @@rockrugbyrefI'll have to look into that. All the info on them that I found in the past says they are completely made in the u.s., not just assembled. Thanks for the info.

    Sub70 club heads are forged somewhere in Asia but assembled in Illinois. That's what I was told by Sub70 when I asked.
    Edit: I've purchased 2 sets of their forged blades. Sub70 has amazing products and customer service!!

    There is no company manufacturing iron heads or metalwood heads in the USA. The last company to actual make iron heads in the USA was Ping. Almost all golf club heads are made in SE Asia. Many of the companies will assemble the clubs in the US or Mexico.

    Unless something has changed very recently the heads of all the “Irons” by these brands are made overseas, but the rest of production is here in USA. The only company I know of right now making the Heads of Drivers is Louisville, but their “Irons” are imported as I alluded to above. As another viewer commented Tour Edge Makes/Assembles their better clubs in IL, USA I don’t know of anyone currently making “Iron Heads” the USA, & only Louisville is making “Driver Heads” in the USA. Ping does make some “irons” for certain situations, but you can’t just go buy them…? There was a company a few years ago that made very limited production custom clubs 100% in the USA, but I can’t remember the name.

      I agree, apart from some putter companies who mill all their heads in the USA, everyone else sources their irons, woods and hybrid heads from predominantly China and Vietnam.

      @@madeinusaHis information is spot on….it has been over 20 years since any golf club company manufactured their product here in the USA. There is some iron prototype work done by the large golf companies in the US but these are for testing or Tour Players only. Your video is highly inaccurate and misleading.

      My Ping Eye2s from the 80s were made in USA in Phoenix AZ. Some years ago I decided to update and purchased G10 irons. I was real disappointed when I unwrapped them to find the shafts were made in China.

    What about LA Golf? I think they focus on shafts and putters. My thought was LA stands for Los Angeles. That would make it American. To my knowledge Bryson plays (or played) with a LA Golf putter. I once found 2 complete sets of irons and woods and bags (one men, one ladies) from LA Golf in a thrift store, so they do (or did) make complete sets.

    Sub 70 clubs are not made in the USA. The heads are made in Asia. They are assembled in the USA, not unlike Taylor Made, Titleist, Callaway, etc. I have them and they are great, but they aren't made here. I'm also suspect about Bettinardi irons. Their putters are milled in the USA, but I'll bet the irons are made in Asia.

  • @adamvlassis4090

    All of these companies slapping the heads on the shafts “assembled in usa” are getting components from Asia. For non niche old school and wooden clubs it seems only putters are milled here now. True temper makes their steel shafts here and penley/ la golf make graphite shafts in America. Haven’t tried a la shaft yet but I play true tempers and penleys.

    A little misleading I'd say, put together here with components coming from overseas I p[ersonally don't consider Made In America per say ? Maybe I'm off base, but some of those you mentioned here receive there components from China and or Japan and are only put together here ???

    • @madeinusa
      @madeinusa  2 месяца назад

      Hey Andy, thanks for the comment. You're right - a lot of these companies are sourcing raw materials from overseas - we couldn't find virtually any that are 100% sourced and manufactured here. Those stipulations are included in our written research on AllAmerican.org - oversight on my part during the editing process for this video when I was talking about it being tough finding golf clubs made here.
