    The good ole crt. They look great with a good signal. My brother and I used to rig up old tv’s we found in the trash with Nintendo and Super Nintendo. We would strip wires and tie them to the antenna to get an RF signal. Did that when we were camping with a Sony watchman. Little portable tv.
    The old CRT tv’s don’t have pixels as such. The game systems output with digital pixel resolution, but the tv just interprets the signal and has light projection in lines that scan across the screen. That’s part of why digital tv’s now are so sharp compared to old tv’s. Projects a more smooth image.

    And I don't know if my eyes are deceiving me but is the HDMI to AV adapter displaying proper ratio or is it how the tv is outputting the signal?

      the headphone jack may be an Old piece of tech, but it's a very popular and easy to make for technology, people still use it nowadays, why wouldn't a modern day phone have something that's so mainstream? what's your logic?, no seriously the headphone jack is something we take for granted on our devices, our Computers, macbooks, laptops, TVs have them.

    The CRT was a fantastic balance between pixel density and the blend between individual pixels. They still look great because the actual light being emitted blends into the pixels adjacent... it really was a fantastic technology.

    • @troy2000me
      @troy2000me 6 лет назад +6

      Yes, actually he did. He soldered the "RF" (radio frequency) coaxial cable from the VCR INTO the cables going from the antenna INTO the TV, then you just tell the TV which "frequency" to look for (like an old analog TV station) and just scroll around the tuner until it finds the frequency that the VCR is transmitting on for the RF cable.

      Mankind arguably creates technology through utilization of already existing resources. They just need to time to create it because you can only make such a leap in a certain amount of time.

    Another stunning vintage product. Guys, what you have to remember is that functionality is what most people really care about now. Guys and Girls just want larger, higher resolution screens that do more. Gone are the days of making something look good or fancy, unless you have lots of dollars.

    Yes, small colour TVs were made from the late 60s. I think the original Sony Trinitron line actually had some of the first.
