- I'm playing as Pierre against Joker in Master's Challenge on the hardest difficulty. Yes, this was played in an emulator, but I used to own this game in my N64 along with many others classics such as Zelda: OoT, Mario Kart, Zelda: MM, Star Fox 64, and many more.

"hardest difficulty in the Master Challenge"? there's no such thing because the Master Challenge starts out easy and gets more difficult - though Joker is never really easy. Since you're in stage one, he's as easy as it gets. Try fighting him in Stage 11...

I Fought him in 2003
MrCookieBlaster first time I ever faced him was like in 2001. I’ve been playing the game a year before that and didn’t even know he existed 😂
Managed to get to around level 80 but this sick Joker just got meaner, quicker and slicker as the levels grew. Totally destroyed me. Great game.

I can't understand why no one talks about this game. It's hailed as the greatest fighting game on N64 but apparently that's not very prestigious.

I own it as well, but have yet to unlock the Joker. I also have the sequel as well.

but try to fight a very late Joker (latest is Stage 11) and then fight him again at (Stage 1)...there is big difference - just not as big
I remember this. I used Pierre to unlock Joker. Just spammed some low kick which turned you around and crushed highs (iirc) and you could continue it with some simple combo. There was really nothing the AI could do. If he blocks you can just keep spamming it. Unfortunately I don't remember what the move was called.. :/

Anyone know how to reset this game to the default factory settings without characters unlocked? I got a used copy and I think that a couple of the characters were already unlocked on my copy, such as the Master.

I was never even close to unlocking Joker...I guess my best streak was 33 survival wins or sth like that >_>

I always remembered joker being the final boss on single player
As good as I have gotten only made it to 98. Got to 97 then to 83 never been past 98 sadly.

@@xhunter2265 Go with either Ninja or Boro. They are the easiest to unlock him with.

Awesome! Nice job! BTW, did you manage to unlock Joker or Master or anyone else on emulator version? I've beaten Master Challange, got 100+ wins in Survival, but neither Master, nor Joker seem to get unlocked! What's the problem? Of all the hidden characters only Boro gets unlocked...
+Pavel Mushinskiy This comes very, very late, but, in order to unlock characters, you have to beat the game as certain characters. Then, after the ending, the Master will tell you that you can unlock this or that character, and THEN you can do the steps to unlock them. For example, before unlocking the Master, you have to beat the game as Ryuji, then, if you complete Master's Challenge, you will unlock him.
