- Arcade Mode on the hardest difficulty possible on my favourite fighting game with the character that everybody loves and hates the most at the same time.

Okay, so, about a week ago Toby confirmed that Jevil was, in fact, at least partially based on Joker, so our conversation from about a year ago is all of a sudden pretty funny in hindsight.
I knew I wasn't insane when I heard one of Jevil's sound effects sound so similar to that of Joker from this game.
Thats actually really cool honestly. Furthermore proves what a legend this game is.

Man, I'm very late to this conversation, but I was watching a different video talking about the history of this game, and when they were talking about Joker, I heard a bit of audio and immediately started trying to look up fight clips of this character to confirm what I thought I heard, checking to see if anyone else commented on this. So, from several years in the future, thank you for posting this comment, because I stubbornly probably never would've just googled to confirm my suspicions, because I'm -stupid- lazy!
The fact that he and his banger battle theme wasn't part of the second game automatically made the first game far superior.
Fighter's Destiny 2 was a huge disappointment altogether. I legit hate that game...

@@jaakkojarvela7571 the crazy thing is, they tried to stylize it with 2's font, and it looked pretty bad. Was it supposed to be a Z or a 2? Lol
They replaced him with a drag queen with a theme full of moaning. What were they thinking?
Otherwise 2 makes the first game feel like an incomplete beta in terms of movesets and master mode.
The sound effects in the game from the right commentary to the fighters themselves are truly the best. Today’s game just can’t compare to this degree of nostalgia

the way you need "points" to win a match is a very underrated concept imo, thought it was different and cool

Huh. I never realized that Joker had a tail... Either that, or I forgot about it... I guess that made him the Jevil of Fighters Destiny, huh? Like, both thematically, being Joker Devil hybrids, _and_ difficulty-wise, 'cuz I have a pretty solid Lose record to both of them... Heck, even their music themes sound remarkably similar to each other... "The World Revolving Joker's Room" remix when?
I always knew he had, but now you mention it, he is indeed like the Jevil of Fighters Destiny. Joker was unforgiving too in every aspect.
@@xeronylloyd21 I know, right?! I swear, Joker could transcend the difficulty-settings of the game itself.
@@GrahamChapman Yes because Joker's preset difficulty is "Crazy" despite what difficulty you are actually playing. This is why you wanted Joker to pop rarely in Survival after Level 50. Ushi and Boro acts the same way too, Boro is on "Normal" and Ushi is "Hard" by preset, it doesn't matter if you are playing on Easy, they will come at you with their preset difficulty.
@@xeronylloyd21 Yeah, that makes sense. Though, by the end of it, I was so traumatized by Joker kicking my ass that the mere fact that I ended up fighting him got under my skin and often made me mess up... He still has a great theme, though.

Leon was always my favorite. Easy baits with the body hook, and devastating kicks! Plus 3 dodge & attack throws.
Leon is the only character that can grab kicks👍🏻

Finding this, a perfectly emulated widescreen gameplay of a full joker playthrough played like a pro, is like finding out a crush from your childhood went into porn and he/she's still stunningly cute and amazing at what he/she does into the industry.

This games joker theme is so immersive . It makes you feel like you need to win and is semi- encouraging/ rocky style .

I hated fighting joker as a kid. He kicked my ass every time.

Hey! Hope you liked it. There was actually no future plan for Fighter's Destiny to be honest, I just got hit by the Nostalgia Train and recorded this for fun, but if people actually would like more FD Content, there will be.

To be fair the theme mainly belongs to the Observatory Room and to Boro, since Boro is the “Final Boss” of this game. At least for Arcade Mode that is. Joker is never actually a Boss, not even in Survival, just a rare encounter.
I thought he was like an evil brother of Pierre. He is a joker and Pierre is a clown. He is cool tho. He suppose to be a character that knows all the moves.@@xeronylloyd21

You mean the game itself? Yeah it's a masterpiece. If you mean my gameplay it wasn't that amusing, made some horrific mistakes, especially during the Pierre fight, I let myself to be outplayed. You can see clearly see I even froze for a second after failing 2 times in a row to finish him with a Special, Taunting him 2 times instead...

Do you have any tips for knowing which combos to use? I speedrun the game, but I don't know how to play the game really well outside of that.
The Fastest way probably will be by playing Ninja. Once you learned Phantom Weed, you can use that to burn down opponent's HP reall fast and attempt to execute them with it's upgrade, Phantom Weed 2. If Phantom Weed 2 fails to knock them down, use your regular Special instead of Phantom Weed 2.

@@xeronylloyd21 I would always unlobck boro and use her u/f+B move I think was the command? She does a forward spin flip kick twice that leaves them stunned, so you can keep doing it over and over (at least vs cpu anyway). It works until you get to the edge of the ring and then I would usually go for A,A,A to knock them off.
