    Hey Michael! I have successfully completed my taper and am now 9 months off. I am now moderating in a group of Benzo warriors. I have followed you for a while and am now sharing some of your videos in that group. Thank you for your encouragement and support. Have a blessed day ❤

    Healing is there for everyone. Whether they choose to come off their medication or decide to reinstate or stay on their medication. What is right for one person is very individual. A slow patient led taper is key and it’s so good to see antidepressant withdrawal being more recognised and accepted now. Thanks for spreading awareness of this important topic. 🙌

    So much truth here. Thank you. Jeremiah 29:11 has become my life verse. God being with me is the only way I have come this far.

    Great video, Michael. Can you do one on trying to lose weight while tapering? I have gained over 50lbs while I have been on Lexapro. I believe weight loss is possible.

      Not uncommon with AD meds. Me too. Great video idea. God bless!

    I have been taking 1-2 mg of Ativan for a couple of months while battling anxiety and depression for the first time. I want to start to taper off because I don’t want to keep upping the dose but not sure I’m ready. I am taking SSRI that hopefully will start to work on A/D. Seems like depression has worsened since using Ativan or is that the rebound anxiety I am feeling?

    • @TheLovelyGrind
      @TheLovelyGrind  4 месяца назад +2

      Benzos can cause some lowering of mood/depression, but also rebound anxiety. In any case, those are good reasons to eventually begin a taper, when you feel more ready. The important part is that you are beginning to make a possible plan. Keep planning for ways to move forward, step by step!

    Hey Michael, thanks for all your videos. When you tapered, were you using a gram scale and the Ashton method? Or were you just snapping pills and eye-balling it?

    • @TheLovelyGrind
      @TheLovelyGrind  2 месяца назад +1

      I was just hacking away with a cheap pill-cutter. Eyeballing the cuts. There are better ways to do it, but it got me to where I am today. Find a thoughtful method that works for you and don't get discouraged.

    Can you still heal if you have reinstated an antidepressant? I couldn't handle the withdrawals after a too fast a taper and have seen improvements over the 4 months since RI but srill struggling on the waves

      Yes I believe so. I know I experienced healing from Paxil withdrawal, even as I was still tapering a benzo med. Keep taking care of yourself and moving forward in faith. Things can get better!
