Hey there i totally found your channel by accident while searching for X real informations and you're doing a better job than them giving them and covering informations about this product. Thank you a lot
Thank you fam, i appreciate you watching and dropping a comment 🙏🏾.
Bruh, thanks for the THOROUGH review and comparison. Also straight to the point. Was a bit daunted by video lenght but glad I clicked.
Been watching an 1h of review and comparison by now and the other youtubers never go as deep and real in the comparison despite fancier setups, mics, cams and higher subscriber count. Weird.
Glad I clicked. Liking to help with the algo !
After trying both for a couple of weeks, I think there is a separation in terms of what they're targeting. As XR glasses, the xReal are better. You are able to resize windows easier with the Android/PC app, 3DoF tracking is more stable/smoother. I think their software developers are a step ahead. So like you mentioned, you can ride your ebike with the glasses on. I can't do it that well with the Rokid MAX since the outside world intrudes due to the design (you're seeing the outside world outside of the glasses lol). But as a gigantic cinema screen (with the glasses cover on), I prefer the Rokid Max. Just a tiny bit brighter and a higher FoV so you get a slightly larger screen. I wear glasses so the ability to lay in bed with just the Rokid Max on my face is a nice luxury to have due to the diopter adjustment.
I agree that just having that diopter alone is a big selling point and maybe a deal breaker, in fact. My girl uses glases, she's a -2 and for some reason she prefers the xreal when using the android and windows software, but prefers the rokid when it's just screen projection where you can't resize the screens.
@@KingKola_
comparative of an ignorant, rokid max makes images of 120 hertz and already comes with adjustments for myopia, nreal air makes images of 60 hertz and needs the user to buy the lens part for myopia
Love your videos. Just discovered them and love the way you take the time to explain and you're very open and honest about where facts and opinions are.
Appreciate the extra information on these two devices. I’m going for the Rokid due to the extra 3D features(which no other RUclipsr has spoken about), frame rate and brightness.
The frame rates are now the same, but that ability to turn anything 3d is definitely a big plus. You'll definitely enjoy it
Well, in Nebula 3.3 beta seem to be an 3D player and appear to work great 😉 don’t have my Xreal yet but saw it online on Reddit
Great video bro! You convinced me to buy a set of the XREAL Air glasses today!
Glad I could help
I just bought both. Returned both the next day. These things aren't ready for prime time yet. Rokid got hot af on the forehead, eyes wouldn't adjust to the edges. Xreal, that little box was fussy. The only thing it was good for was changing the screen to how you want it. The screen had a Halo around the edges. I got the queat 3 last week. Blows all this tech out of the water. Plus there's no wires dangling.
this, they suck hard
....You literally paid almost 2x the price for a VR headset. That's not even comparable.
@@acid360delta7the quest 3 is the exact same price as the rokid.
What do you like to use the quest 3 for?
Thank you bro, I've never got this good of a review and a comparison between the two. Much appreciated. :)
This was a great comparison. Yet again things you don't hear on the other channels. Thanks
Thanks, I look forward to doing my review of these. I appreciate everything you did and shared within this video. Keep up the great work...
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for the review/comparison 👍 because the Rokid Max sit right over your eye bulbs and have no cheek coverage it makes them look like swimming goggles, not a good look in public 🤣😂
Right lol
Really good reviews, we appreciate the non sponsored content (really).
This was the best comparison I've found between the two. Thanks!
One of the best comparisons I've seen so far - Thank You!!!
my pleasure!
Excellent assessment Kola, love it and you help me decide finally! Thank you so much
Great in-depth comparison. Glad i found this channel!
Thank you for watching and dropping a comment 🙏🏾
I think where the Rokid and Nreals seperate is with the computer application where you can have several virtual monitors. The Rokids do not do this, but the Nreal Nebula app lets you connect the glasses to a laptop and then create three screens to work off.
Great video review , thanks. I also bought both glasses and I feel like you. I prefer the Xreal.
Thanks, and yeah definitely xreal
Thanks for the review. Any motion sickness?
super smart well spoken high IQ detailed full circle review. many thanks for your time to upload this video. have a great day always.
I have both and prefer the Rokid since I only really need a big HUD screen for entertainment rather than AR/MR capabilities.
Do you wear Rokid in public? Why do you have 2?
Thank you for a good review. Could you say that the clarity in terms of blurriness (which is quite obvious when using devices like Quest 2) is the same on both glasses? Or one of them provides clearer picture? I'm looking to buy one of these as a compact monitor for my gaming laptop as I travel a lot and cannot bring the actual TV with me)
The Xreal provides a clearer picture. The Rokid Max is a little blurry around the edges
Thank you for creating this video and sharing your honest opinion. I was wondering if you've tried Rokid Station and if so, does it change your opinion in any way. Thanks.
thank you for a calm talking approach loads learnt.
My pleasure fam
thanks for the video i was leaning towards the xreal already
Definitely the better one, thanks for watching.
Good vid brother & remember you do not have to apologize to us for giving us pertinent information.
My pleasure, and thank you fam
Nice video bruv, will you be getting the VITURE soon?
Wondering if the VITURE does spatial without its optional Dock or Neckband, heard it does from someone on Reddit.
Thanks fam... i'm thinking about it, and i'm curious about that as well. I'd assume it does, because the glasses alone is $439, the neckband is an additional $179, so $618. At that price xreal crushes it.
Kola, quick question (nice reviews btw 👍) do either of these and their software apps work on iPhone (I notice you say nebula has to be from the android google play store) 🤔
As of right now Nebula mobile app is only available on android, but i'm guessing it's because iphones didn't support USB C till iPhone 15. If you have the newest iphone then you can plug it in and mirror your phone into the glasses, if your phone is older then the only way will be to cast wirelessly using the beam or use Xreal's iphone adapter. Hope that makes sense.
Great video and honest opinions. Will the GINGER app for XREAL anchor the screen at one place? Trying to save some money as a student not buying the BEAM . Cheers
On pc, yes. I made a video about the software.
Honest review much thanks brother. It helped me in deciding what to purchase.
Dear Kola
first of all, thank You so much, 4 this very intuitive, interesting and HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL video.
Currently I‘m looking for a pair of AR-Glasses, but have never used one before.
I‘ve preordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max, right after the Apple Event (September the 12th.) BUT UNFORTUNATELY still have to wait until APPROXIMATELY November the 14th.
My question is: Are the XREAL compatible with the 15 Pro Max with its ALL-NEW USB-C chatting port???
Thanks in advance
Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Greetings to you as well. From my sources, Xreal Air does indeed work with the new IPhone 15 Pro Max.
i got curious about the viture given the magnetic connector on the side especially when laying down and i read somewhere that it gets 1800 nits of brightness with the downside of being a smaller screen but it is an American company
Personally i don't like the magnetic option, but if your cable damages, which will inevitably happen, then you can't just buy a cheap on on Amazon, you's have to buy theirs which will be way more expensive. Their glasses is over $600 when you get the neckband. And you kind of have to because they don't have a mobile software like xreal or rokid, or even like tlc does.
these review that i wantad
clearfull explanation,
the heartz , compability on pc, 3dof view explain, that is helpfull to me to purchased rokid max or Xreal 1 because so confused, thx u you got new subs from me, and i want buy the Xreal that am chosing because your vidios
Rokid just came out with a google tv device called the rokid station, I think it may be better than the Xreal Beam. Would be cool if it was compatible with Xreal glasses.
funny enough i made a video a couple weeks ago on how to use google tv on xreal. But no i don't think it'd be better than xreal beam as beam is android based, which means you can potentially load android tv on it, and it expands the compatibility of almost all devices that can cast and it's cheaper. But then again, i could be wrong, i'll still buy it though, i have both glases.
here's my video on how to connect android tv dongle to the xreal, this is assuming a person doesn't have the beam ruclips.net/video/92-3v9dfyiE/видео.html&ab_channel=Kola
Xreal said you should be able to install your own apps soon with the Beam. I would say if you could wait then the Beam will be worth it. I just got mine and it's hooked up to an Onn 2023 Google TV box. It's working great as one thing I do noticed is that the PQ is better vs using DeX or mirroring on my S22U. It seems like the signal is more compressed vs any other Android or Google TV box.
Right now I have it hooked up behind an hdmi switch then splitter. Got me one of those hdmi to usb-c cable that requires power directly connected to the Beam. I don't have to worry bout battery life on the nreal adapter and just the Beam. Audio works and the cable doesn't get hot at all vs a prior cable that I tried from the same brand. It looks like they just released an updated version I guess. Now I got to find a use case for the nreal adapter as I don't need it anymore for this home setup at least.
I don't even want to imagine a portable solution this time. I might just get a Rokid Station with Android TV instead just to avoid all the wires. 😁 Well I can't wait for the Beam to get custom apps though. I wouldn't need to spend anymore money when this is the case.
For me that xreal not having diopter is a deal breaker. My wife and I both where glasses. Having to buy separate lenses doesn't appeal to me. Not to mention when someone else in the family wants to try them. It's more convenient to simply have the diopters. However I do like the design and aesthetics of the x-real airs. But I have to go with functionality over looks. Additionally, you clearly have a bias against the Rokid. You don't bash it, however you don't really give it it's due props for it's advantages either.
Are you using beam for navigatoin on your smartphone Iam thinking to buy one to use it as headupdisplay like, speed, navigation and so on Iam using a S21
Thx for your review. You are a first who is unaffected. THX
Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
I may be incorrect, but I believe the beta on Android allows for 120hz on the Xreal rather than the 90hz you mentioned. When I have it hooked up to my PC, it shows 120hz. Also, I am near sighted, and so far I either have to use my eyeglasses under the Xreal or wear contacts or else the picture is blurry. I need to get a new glasses prescription before I order the lenses for the Xreals, but once I do, I know these things will be really awesome!
The 120hz beta came out after i recaorded this video.
You did the right thing, getting the xreal. They are much better than rokid air or rokid max. I tried all 3 and xreal is the clear winner.
Hi there, im far and near sighted. Can you tell me how ur doing with this? Did u get 2 in 1 lense also to use with xreal?
@hermanhasim9242 I Still haven't gotten the lenses. Not sure about bifocals, but from what I can tell, is if you have correction for far sightedness, you should be fine. Don't know for sure.
@@KingKola_how do I install this beta? Right on official software I can't even get 90Hz on PC. Just 72Hz on the glasses when in there nebula app.
Question… Would tinting the Xreal glasses effect the AR tech? I feel like the Xreal glasses would look even cooler with tinted lenses.
No it wouldn't, i've actudone that before. But i took the tint off because it limits how much i could see through the glasses to look at my computer, and at night. But it definitely still works.
@@KingKola_ ah that makes sense 👍🏾💯
way to go with the detailed observations
Great review! You did a good job here. Xreal Air all day
Thanks! 👍
Thanks for your comprehensive honest opinions. It made my decision easier. Do you know what the 32GB of storage on the beam is for? Can you load movies onto it?
I believe it's to allow future app download and install from my understanding.
Thank for giving your honest opinions 🙏
My pleasure fam, thanks for watching
What you think of vituro
Well explained mate , thank you
have u compared Virtue yet?
Hello. After your great explanation I bought the XReal Air but unfortunately unable to set displays in fixed positions as you told. Could you please advise how I can do this?
The only way to have the display fixed is by using Nebula by Xreal, which you can find on the play store if you have android, or by getting the Xreal Beam.
Note: It cost about $100-200 to get the custom prescription attachment for Xreal. If you ever want to sell the Xreal, that means you waste $100-200. Compare to Rokid Max, you won't lose $100-200 making your own custom prescription attachment.
So i asked someone at the mall here in Virginia beach and they told me $65 and they offered military discount, i guess it could depend on the area. But yeah if i did pay $100-200 i'd be disappointed if i had to sell it.
Is it going to be gold coated frame? It's about $30 on aliexpress.
Do you think that buying *XReal* Air for watching youtube on my way to work is a good idea?
I personally do it, but it's not recommended. I also only use it when there's plenty of daylight
counterpoint -- I can use rokid without dealing with prescription lenses....thanks to the diopter adjusment. I don't have easy access to an eye place. the xreal for me were terrible out of the box.
I get it, but my girl wears glasses and she still prefers the xreal over the rokid due to the blurry edges. If you type xreal vs rokid you'd see two yoututers who collaborated and even though they wear glasses, they literally said the same thing. But hey, it's preference
@@KingKola_ Certainly. It was very liberating not to deal with prescription, and I have been using the rokid for months now. I'm actually wearing them right now. But maybe my face shape is more suited to the rokid rather than the nreal, which was uncomfortable as well.
Dose nebula app work with Rokid?
No it doesn't
Where did you go to download the nebula for windows beta? If you don’t mind me asking.
From xreal, on their discord. You can join their discord and get beta software before they're released to the public.
have u tried the beam? and if you were to get iems for the xreal id def pair it with moondrop variations
I have the beam on pre-order, xreal should be shipping it later this month. I can't wait.
What about rokid hub on nreal? Does it support otg or nebula
Are you sure it's real 3d conversion? Like on old LG TV?
Please try switching both cables on each other
Rokid hub won't work with xreal or vice-versa. Yes it's real 3d like on the tv that does sbs. Cables connect to the device the same, but each will only still work with its app.
A good video, thanks for the comparison.
My pleasure, and thanks for watching!
I prefered the rokid air frameless design for casual practical use but the lenses weren't good and they looked stupid.
I am great at the tech stuff but with the xreal can i surf the web without connecting to my laptop or phone or does the beam allow me to surf web connected to beam?Thankyou!
The beam can allow you to surf the web without your laptop or phone.
Can you review Rokid Station vs Xreal Beam?
I'll try and record a video for the beam today and upload it in a couple of days when i get a chance. As far as the rokid station, i don't have that yet. I'll record as soon as i get it.
keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Can you watch 3D blu rays with these?
yes, as long as your phone can play it
Great video
When i try to watch 3d video on youtube it just shows 2 seperate screens on glasses how do i combine them to make it 3d cannyou help pls thanks
On the rokid?
No the xreal
If you get the beam device then the price is the same.
Xreal good for dev?
Yes
Great review :)
I appreciate it 🙏🏾
What about picture quality/ video resolution/ sharpness? Thanks
Resolution wise i give it to xreal. I tried both and xreal are less burry around the edges and i find the colors/sharpness much better on the xreal.
This video explains very well the differences between the 2 glasses. Many youtubers are bias, since they have to promote the glasses.
Xreal is a much better experience than rokid max.
Its not even a competition.
The quality on both is amazing, the difference isn't really noticeable, but yes like the previous comment said the xreal is slightly better around the edges.
@@ES-ll5uv thanks

CAN U MAKE A REVIEW ON XREAL AIR 2 ?
Just made it!
@@KingKola_ ya saw it
When you watch on this Glasses, you will see how the Apple AR Glasses could looks like on next Level.
I will wait for Apple Glasses bevor spending money for other AR Glasses
You're better off with this... tbh, or buying the quest. Apple's glasses will only last 3hrs on a charge, and don't even forget about it's ridiculous price of over $3k
Good job
rokid sucks. i returned it day 1. instantly had eye strain and if your nose isn't the perfect shape, the displayed screen will be too low and partially cut off (not adjustable).
Yeah it would have been nice if it tilted like the Xreal's
Xreal Beam brings up the price but worth it....total bundle $488.
The glasses still cost the same, and you don't have to buy the bundle. However, i agree the bundle is worth it.
you need to try Xreal Beam with air
I did pre-order it already
