Holy cow, I’m still in awe of all those amazing pieces! Loved the event and nothing beats spending the day with you and Nichola. Looking forward to the next one Stef!
Dog Tag Doug and Jason👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Awesome hunt for sure. Wish I could have been there. Took out my new 900 out for first time the the other day to a permission I’ve pounded for 18 years and found very old ring in heavy iron. Totally blown away. Stef you rock!
Great day hunting with friends, old and new! Lots of treasures found, GW, my opinion was the find of the day! But WOW, what an incredible day for artifacts and coinage, buttons, bells, snake! Looked like a good time had by all! Til next time, keep on digging...😊
Thank you, it was such a blast! I’m just glad I managed to squeak in a little bit of digging, because I chat a LOT - put me, Jason, and Doug together, and very few holes are dug between the 3 of us, lol! Find of the day was a toss-up between the GW and MA militia button in my opinion, I believe the latter is rarer because I’ve never seen one dug… but a GW is iconic!
This was such a fun event ... a lot of great finds and the weather held up for the most part. My jaw dropped when the lady uncupped her hands and showed me the GW button. WOAHHH!
Wow that look like a really fun day with everybody.. I'm not really into detecting events.. I'm more of a lone-wolf., but you look like y'all had a good time... You're pretty knowledgeable Steph .. good luck hunting out there ,watch out for them snakes 😂
I love that find he shared! I don’t think I mentioned it to him, but if he takes it to a jeweler, it’ll cost like $20 to straighten it out. I’d totally do it!
I missed such a great time 😢 I am glad everyone did well and I surely missed you all! You even got Janice in there, she's amazing! That GW 😍 Sweet bells and buttons! Wicked happy hunting Stef ✌️
@StefDigs it definitely seems that way! The jacksonian button is awesome too, I absolutely love those buttons! I have one with a ship on it. No doubt, that place with short cut grass would be even more amazing.
@@wicked_digger I would love to go back when the grass is short if the farmer will invite Brian back for another hunt! I love Jacksonian buttons, too. The one I found retained almost all gilding and it’s the horse and rider variety.
Steph, I spoke to the owner and he mentioned opening up next year for a two day hunt with camping on site. BTW, I'm the guy walking out of the field in the beginning as you were walking in and I said " look at that, Stef Digs in the house "
That looked like it was a blast! Even if you don't find anything at those events just being around others who love the same hobby makes it all worthwhile. Congratulations on your first jaw harp! ❤
The button in the conestoga bell clip looks like some of the French Marine type buttons I’ve found at French/Indian war sites. Nice jaw harp. Hard to find them complete.
Hey Stef looked like a very great time out there. All the Relics and Coins that were found are amazing. Congrats on your Bucket Lister. The George Washington and Massachusetts Buttons that were found what History behind them. So cool. The guys Bell he found that was huge and amazingly in one piece incredible. Love seeing you with Jason and Doug. Take Care Stef.
Lol! You got me! I thought you found the GW ! Still a good find! Congrats on the jaw Harp. I have only found 2 of them myself. Only 1 good one. They are so fun to imagine who was playing them! Good Video!
I WISH I could have been there! Thank you for recording it do I could attend virtually. And as you said, many REALLY great finds. I recently made a decision on a question raised a few times on your channel. A find that has appeal as a keeper needs no identification. Of course, my opinion and $4 will buy a cup of coffee at McDonalds.
I had a hard time getting my coil over stuff but I'm glad some people pulled some amazing stuff out! My luck came during the raffle but it was great meeting you and the QH guys!
Awesome Awesome video!!! One of our guys was there. Said he had a great time! Too bad he didn't hit the field of dreams!! P.S. super jealous of the jews harp!!! I've been wanting to find one!!
So much great stuff was found, I’m not surprised! 😂 Feel free to take screen grabs of anything the property owner might like to see - a heartfelt thank you to you, the property owner, and all of the staff who helped make it an excellent day!
@@PinkPowerAllyTreasureHunter I really wish I could! Thanks for subscribing! Yeah, it’s a different world over there, we don’t have any sort of FLO/reporting requirement in the US, although there is a Treasure Act regarding hoards and the like (however it’s so rare, I don’t even know the details of how it works!). Hope you enjoy the future videos! 😄
What a great day, so much fun. I found the same brooch and mine still had the picture on it, Brian took a pic to show the family to ask if was a old relative . Great job on the vid, Stef 🏋🏻♂️
Amazing finds a lot of my bucket listers I was going to go when I saw the hunt was coming up but it was my Daughter's baby shower so I hope for next Year that was some great finds
Stef, I really enjoy watching your videos. We have so much undiscovered history waiting to be found. Did you ever find a 1793 Chain Cent and how much is the GW button worth? Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching! I’ve never found a chain cent, but I’ve found an 1800 Draped Bust half dime which is around the same mintage (40,000). The GW in this video is probably worth $1,000+, tough to say as I haven’t seen it cleaned up (it was cleaned up). I found the variety with the eagle - it’s pretty worn but the shank is intact; and I saw several examples of that one sold between $1,000-$2,000.
This video was awesome ! Where was MERRILL ? I hope he didn't get washed away on the beach 😂. Will you be in staten island next weekend ? I'm rearranging my work schedule to be there where I was born and raised
Thank you! Lol, I’m assuming he’s alive, I believe he just dropped a beach video! 😂 Won’t be in Staten Island next weekend, unfortunately. Hope to get out to more of these group digs soon!
