Great explanation of the controller function and what makes the controller so personal. Especially liked the maintenance info.

I go back with Jim over 40 years. I remember when he started the company, building on a card table. He sure has come a long way!

    Great video and information Roger
I’m not the best driver but setting my controller to the car and track using the tips you mention certainly helps me.
One cleaning tip you didn’t get into That Jim Difalco says doesn’t get done frequently enough by most was removing the handle and cleaning the brake and full throttle bypass contacts. They can get dirty pretty fast too.

Absolutely. I meant to mention it, and by the time I remembered I had missed it I was practically finished editing the video. Thanks for sharing!

So much involved with these little machines, fun stuff. My club just got a box of Professor controllers in. There are two clubs next to each other HO & 1/32 the other is a 1/24 wood track. I guess I have to find out which controller works best for both. I mostly use HO and 1/32

I am surprised we are still using analog controllers. The circuits involved to make this digital are the size of a USB thumb drive. I wish the market was big enough to support that leap and technology. Think about it, everything else in our lives with analog with pots and resistors is gone, replaced by circuits.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell everyone when it comes to choosing a controller...there is no one right answer. It's a very personal choice. It has to feel good in your hand, and you have to get the feel on track that you want. Only way to know is to try a few
