Thanks for all the free advice and help, very generous of you. I love slot cars but don't have anyone to ask so it's great to have folks like you!

Thanks a lot. I started the channel last year with the hope I could share some knowledge with a few people I never dreamed I would have over 700 subscribers and thousands of views. I also get messages on Instagram now also and always giving out advice. I’m definitely not claiming to be a slot car guru with all the best stuff but When you have decent running cars and equipment it makes the hobby more enjoyable. Thanks again for the support.

I just watched a video on "Dielectric Grease on Electrical Connections" . His conclusion was it may effect it down on the micro level but not anything significant . Anyhow it may extend the life of the resistor and save you time and money

I recently had a problem where the car takes off the moment I placed it on the track and I wasn't even touching the controller. Would a cleaning like this solve the problem? I thought it might be a wiring issue, but the controller used to work just fine, and then all of sudden it went haywire.

Yeah somehow your getting current through the circuit. Either the wiper is sticking or bent or the resistor might also be broken.

So what do you think about Viper cars I just bought four of them you're not as fast as AFX cars had to put bigger tires on the back touching the rails I'm getting stuck with a so low to the ground what do you think

I don’t run viper cars they are not really designed for set tracks they are more based for routed tracks that are ultra smooth and don’t have any elevation.
