Happy New Year to you and your family, Marty! I'm still rocking my basic 45ohm Parma controller (the simplicity works for me) 😁 - I'm sorting out how to add braking to my vintage Artin track...I've never run with them. Luckily, I found one of Harry's old articles that explains how to do it. Thanks for all you do for the hobby, and here's to a great 2024!
Happy holidays! Thanks Slot Journal!! I don’t do much for the hobby except talk about it all the time 😂 have fun with your project!
Great video Marty thanks for sharing the effort you put in to helps us learn about controllers
No problem 👍
Great vid, happy the trigger worked out for you.
Thanks 👍
You've come a long way ! Smokin
Thanks Steve! Will be 2 years in the hobby at the beginning of February.
Check the voltage of your home track. Then see what the voltage is on the wood track. My guess is the wood track is at least 14 volts. Our cars come alive at our local race track running 14v all wood.
Marty well done, great video please keep'em coming . Gas On !
Thanks, will do!
That car really flies. So great to watch. I'm saving my pennies for a Frankenslot. Digital I know but will be an upgrade to the standard Carrera wireless. Thanks for the info though, never disappointed with your videos.
You will love the Frankenslot! We have one, and it is great for digital!!
Thank you for the Difalco update. This is something I need to look at serious at this coming year. I need to figure out if we can stay wireless with our Carrera Evolution (analog) system. I love the convenience of the Carrera wireless controls, but I want better control of the cars as I wean myself off of magnets. Well done Dusty at Cincy!
Chris, when you make it down to the track.. you can try out mine.. 😉
My schedule is week to week, but if you will have me I would like to make it down January and February. I will let you know as I find out my schedule. Thanks!
Thanks buddy!!
So glad you were able to work through your controller issues, This was what I was trying to get across in the chat , the tension on stock spring ,with adding the 2 finger trigger makes the tension more manageable and increases your finger sensitivity , especially when you are racing for long periods of time , As I said my Difalco has a single trigger but lighter gauge spring in it , not the stock standard spring tension , and I came out with the same results and conclusion as you , I associate it to real Gun trigger pull 3lb vs 4.5lb trigger pull , big difference.
Perfect Jeff! Exactly what is going on.. the longer throw slows my finger down just enough to bail me out of trouble most turns 😂
Great update, Thanks a lot Marty 🙂
Thanks Leif!
Very good test, more of that please.
Thanks… I did more testing after.. another 100 laps.. the 520 network really helps keep the car smooth.. no deslots.. I still feel like the double finger trigger is the real hero here..
I'm still rocking the carrera wireless and the Autoworld wireless for my Ho. Eventually I want to get a quality controler but I have to be fiscally conservative. I always hear great things about Difalco controllers. Thanks Marty and Dusty.
Completely understand. Wireless is so convenient!
Happy New Year Marty!
Happy new year!
Interesting.
Very!
Marty thanks for the video. I do not see that module on the cloverleaf website. Also do not see the 520 modules on difalco website
Larry, I found it at Slot Car Corner as one of the options in the drop down menu on the network item. If it is not on Cloverleaf’s website, he is probably sold out. He was sold out when I went to order it from him. The item number is DD287.

Great update Marty, every day is a school day and I know more now than I did before, suddenly the ohm rating stuff with controllers makes sense to me, thank you :)
Dave, always learning.. I thought I would share.. just like the guys shared with me. I appreciate the knowledge share that happens in the hobby, even at a high level of competitiveness. Good stuff!
@@twolinesslotcars strangest (in a good way) hobby ever! Unique mix of competition and camaraderie :)
Thanks for the update Marty! It sounds like a great controller. I forget the model I have but it only has sensitivity and braking adjustability. Would need to try one with the traction control 🤔
Cheers brother
Massimo, the traction control is a secondary sensitivity.. but is very helpful.
@@twolinesslotcars that’s awesome
I agree! As I am now on the wrong side of the 50 yard line, I have completely lost what little leverage I ever had. 😂 FYI...My ( Difalco) controller shipped with the two finger controller?
Awesome that it shipped with the two finger! I am quickly adapting to it.. I really think I will like it!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Outta my league but great for those that are at your level..cheers...
Happy New Year John!
Would I confuse you if I tell you that I am driving this type of controller with my thumb?!😮😂😂😂
🫢🤯 lol

Not at all Nico! I have seen people do that.. if you grew up with a plunger style controller..
I've seen some Veterans come up with some unique approaches to accomplish their mission. Slot cars are therapeutic!
@@stevesweeney7892 🤣🤣🤣🤟😎👍
no more two lines ....
Its now two fingers slotcars !! lol
😂😂 did the package arrive?
I have ordered an trigger controller recently Marty .I just prefer them to the flimsy thumb controllers that come with the carrera sets . Its not an expensive controller but its a start . I dont need to go for super controllers like your one for racing myself 🫢😁 thanks for showing us this one ...and maybe in the future i will look for something like this 😊...Harry
Nothing wrong with going with the standard Carrera.. if you like it.. use it!
The one downside to me for these controllers is they feel too light to me and not substantial. I have the Electric Dreams Ltd Ed. I use both, but I find myself using my SCP-2 more often.
I think there are two camps… those who love the SCP… and those who don’t.. it is a great controller.. but can be a bit complicated to figure out.
I think my biggest reason for changing over is the feel of the trigger. The SPC 2 just has zero resistance on the trigger. The Defalco has enough resistance that I can feel trigger positioning better. But I did enjoy the Slotit controller
Also Before you spend the money Re-Check your Mechanical Grip on the Chassis and tires, Just a Thought!!
Thanks Lee!
So the new motto is 2 fingers at two lines
😂 something like that Gene..
I really enjoy that video. I am sure other people are wondering; Did you try the new higher 520 network resistor with the single trigger and if so what were your results.
Tom, I did try the network with the original trigger and I felt it had a similar result… smoothed out the car subtly… you would not need to do both upgrades to see the advantage. But the two finger trigger took it to another level for me because the leverage change allowed me to be even smoother.. hard to explain until you have one in your hand..
@@twolinesslotcars I was wondering because you did not mention it in the video. By the way if your current employment situation doesn't work out you could get a job as an FM disk jockey. You have that soothing voice.
I have a face for radio!
LOL
Only question I have Is Traction Control Legal At National Races?? Thanks
I believe so.
Marty is that controller rated for 1/24 car's like Lmp cars or Womps
I would need to check the site.. might need to change the network on it..
Can we use the controller on Carrera digital 124/132 Control Unit or we have to build something. Thank you
No, it is for analog only…
@@twolinesslotcars but ramjet is for carrera ? Any suggestions for. A wireless?
