I tend to lean more towards full surround sound setups with a separate receiver, but I appreciate the fact that sound bars are an easy way to get a huge improvement in sound quality and depth. Sound bars also seem to work better for apartments or rooms that are very multi use. (No wires to trip over or hide)
They're great when you want something compact, quick to set up, and upgrade from your TV speakers, but the lack of customization is what turns me off soundbars
You should have a speaker listening room with proper acoustic treatment. Or even just a living room that's not on concrete. That way, you hear the true potential of the system.
I bought this sound bar a few weeks ago. It’s sounds pretty damn good. Zero issues with surround speakers. They really enhance the experience. My only gripe is not enough bass from the woofer. Considering how big the sub is I expected quite a bit more low end. I use the app quite a bit as I’m finding each movie/show sounds quite a bit different and the settings need to be tweaked for the best experience.
Run a new calibration, but put a pillow in front of the subwoofers element, as well as putting a pillow or something soft in the air hole that «fills it up». Wrap a carpet around it, an place the subwoofer into a wall with the element and pillow facing against it. This will trick the subwoofer in a weird way, but it makes it so much better☺️ Sorry for my bad english.
set the subwoofer to -15db and run the ai calibration, then after, bring the level back to 0 (probably even less, because it'll be very deep and loud). It is night and day. the subwoofer really came alive for me, very low rumbles. also check to see if you're getting resonant frequencies that make the bass sound weird. try moving the subwoofer away from the wall
It's too bad the room was way too large to properly demo that setup. Also, of note, the soundbar was placed in a location that wouldn't even allow the upfiring speakers to have any impact... In fact, they may have been a distraction.
Opinions about this system seem mixed but I got it to pair with an LG TV and I'm sure glad I did. The sound is fantastic, but I personally think the integration with an LG TV offers several benefits in the quality of life department above and beyond the audio output.
I had a Vizio sound bar and subwoofer back in like 2017. Honestly that was the first time I realized you can make your home feel like a concert. And that was one of the cheaper soundbar & subwoofer combos, had to be like $100 something I paid. So I know this has to sound like 10x better for the price and being that it's LG.
I started with a Vizio 2k 70" tv with a sound bar system and entertainment system all for about $1600 in 2015 or 2016. I just upgraded and got an LG 83" C3 TV with this new lg soundbar, but I'm hesitant to open the box of the sound bar yet because for the money of the tv, I feel that I should have the best I can get while being cost effective for sound too. it was $1000 for the LG sound system, but I'm wondering if there is something better or going with a full ac receiver stereo system. I'm willing to pay a little more, I just don't know where that limit is, but trying to do research before I end up opening this sound bar box because I have had it for 2 weeks and I am still using my old vizio sound bar because it still sounds amazing. Just seeing if it really is "10x worth it" for the price
The subwoofer is up beside the TV, the soundbar is on the ground and the rears are trapped behind the couch. Nothing is placed correctly. That's tough to watch.
You should always put your subwoofer directly on to the floor, this will allow more of low frequency sounds to travel across and through the floor giving it a better affect. Try it out to compare both ways.
I just got the JBL Bar 9.1 for $1,000 and I have to say no soundbar come closes to JBL, the rechargeable rear speakers are incredible with no wires, and the 10" subwoofer hits HARD
@@grimreaper5232only reason I can think of is that ppl who really like deep, extended bass typically choose jbl over the q990c. IMO the q990c is better and if you want more bass then nakamichi is the way to go for an all in one solution
I did the whole 5.1 surround for years. For the few times i did that it was a PITA for little gain. This here though gives the benefits without all the hassle and dedicating a room just for it. It's great for someone who wants good surround with all the wires and time to set it all up. Next time i change my setup this will be looked at closely.
Interesting but how did it sound with something with superior sound like a 4K Blu-ray? If somebody’s gonna buy a premium sound bar like that, more than likely, they intend on using it with Blu-ray.
I can’t take this video seriously. The size of the room, the soundbar on the floor with speakers literally aimed at your feet. The surrounds should be at ear level as well, Not below the couch. How you could get any sense of how this actually sounds isn’t credible.
I have the LG 55UN7300PTC hooked up to my Nvidia Shield pro (2019) you think its worth spending $1000 AU on a Soundbar. I really want it because it plays all Dolby and DTS audio formats on my SSD drives just not lossless Dolby True HD and DTS HD-MA my TV doesn't support eARC but i heard there's a work around through the Shield.
I wonder why he has not tested out the Nakamichi Dragon soundbar system since it has a larger soundbar with a more robust subwoofer setup and rear speakers.
Because LG is desperate to sell this use to be $1,800 now you can get it on other websites for $999. So they pay this channel to sell it for them to make it seem like it is better when it is not.
Any audio delay? Did you try to watch the sound bar with different streaming services? I’m experiencing a lot of audio delay in my Bose 600 right out of the box. What advice could you give some one on what to look for in a product to upgrade your audio experience?
I’ve had a couple of these types of setups from cheap to expensive and haven’t had any issues with delay. Occasionally i would have glitches and there would be an audio de-sync which i usually solve by restarting my devices. If you are experiencing delay, some of these devices have a delay setting. Check if you have a delay. I personally never had a Bose theater setup so I cant rule out or point specifically to your model.
I was faced with the same question and decided on the LG system. I am very happy with my decision. I previously looked at similar solutions from Samsung and Sonos, but in my opinion the LG was the best.
Makes sense you are paid to do this one LG tried selling this for $1,800 I could get an entire Sony 7.2 -Channel Wireless Bluetooth speaker setup for $100 more and that is with a receiver they are selling this bar setup for $999 now. Desperate to sell.
As soon as you said u will integrated the TV Sound.... i was shaking my head. And felt the real dissapointment from a GUY who SHOULD by now, KNOWS A LOT MORE of sound.
Isn’t this Soundbar over 1yo?? How much money did the gave you for this Vid? I tried it for my LG C1 55‘ and its nothing compared to my 40yo Stereo Setup
I have the S95TR which is the update to the S95QR. I am very disappointed with it. The system seems to have a hole in the frequency response between the bass and the subwoofer bass which creates a higher frequency based sound when there is not enough bass to activate the sub woofer. It is particularly bad when listening to music, the sound is not very balanced which is very disappointing when LG claims this to be "The Sound Bar for music afficionados", their words not mine. I would not recommend the S95TR system.

I have this setup in my living room with the LG G3 and it sounds amazing very immerse in games and Dolby Vision movies
Been lookin at this soundbar for awhile to pair with my G3. It looks intense!
does it work with PS5 4K at 120 hz? I'm hearing that the arc ports are limited at 60hz?

Avoid this specific soundbar. The sound is very hollow
Well, I kinda like the idea of utilizing the existing speaker on TV and these speakers are enhancer to that
You should review the Samsung Q 990C soundbar

It would have been badass if the speakers came out the enclosure a bit, electronically when you turn it on. That would have been SICK!
