- Today we are doing a Laura Geller Encore! Testing more products I purchased on my dry, mature skin. I also did a wear test, that I did not actually have planned out, but I loved how my makeup looked after 9 hours, so I thought, I definitely should share the results!! If you have not seen Part 1 of this brand that I reviewed, you may want to watch that one first and I will have that video linked. I loved the brand so much that I ordered two more times! I ordered once from her website and the other time on Amazon, because a lot of her liquid products were sold out. As of today, it looks like most shades are back in stock!

Her Kajal liners are amazing!! So smooth and glide on and blend beautifully. I will say the products I bought from her directly are SO much better than the one I tried from Amazon.
I can totally see why the ones from Amazon probably have been on those shelves for God knows how long! I definitely will purchase from her or QVC only next time. I definitely want to give that liner another try. That said, Amazon did give me my full refund back for it, though. 😘

You probably “figured” this out already … but for the Italian Marble lip you can “use” the darker swirls to deepen your color! Either flip it on the side where there’s darker color … OR use a lip brush to “pull” the deeper color and either “line” or just put right on top, center, etc.

These eyeshadow tones are gorgeous on you, they really bring out the golden tones in your eyes. Really beautiful and I think it all came together with the complexion products so nicely as well 😊 I’ve loved Laura geller products since I was in high school (about 10 years ago) I try new things all the time but I find that keeping the baked powders in my collection is a must staple. Now that I’m a mom, it’s really come in handy to have a product I can blend fast and get out the door and look presentable in no time. But also can use them when you want to look glammed up.

I bought the Baked Balance and Brighten foundation about a month ago and I was unsure about it first, but I realized I wasn’t putting enough on the brush. Once I figured that out I absolutely LOVE it! I looks so natural and lasts all day. It’s perfect for summer. I got the blush too and I really like that as well.
I felt the same way when I first tried it! It's definitely a product you need to play around with till you find the perfect balance! I'm so happy you love it too! Her blushes are my favorite 😍

That is a bold statement coming from a makeup lover and collector such as yourself!! I have the same bronzer and I love it! I use the baked powder foundation over the Maybelline tinted moisturizer, and I love that combo! I kind of forgot about the highlighter... I tend to reach for shimmery options, but it is very nice! My brows don't need a lot of attention, I do them at the end of my routine, and I have been using exclusively, the LG brow pencil and gel combo. I forget what it's called but it's dual ended with a flat shaped retractable pencil on one end for filling in and shaping color, and a cute, tiny little spoolie that dips into a waterproof clear gel for taming. I'm sure I will repurchase!
Love the eye look, and everything still looked fresh at your late-night check-in! Who could ask for more?!
Linden..it definitely was a very bold statement, but one I truly stand by for the moment, lol. The way that it looks and lasts on my skin at this point in my life, I would be very satisfied of this was the only makeup I owned! I never thought I would even like it when I decided to try it, but I sure am happy I took a chance. I love a lot of my makeup. I, too, have applied the LG baked powders over the Maybelline skin tint, and I love how it looked with that as well! I definitely would do that combo if I was going to an outdoor event, a wedding, or an event that I need my makeup to last a long period with minimal touch-ups. Now, you have me very intrigued in looking into the blow products! 🤦♀️ I think you are the influencer here, lol. You have influenced me to look into a lot of products 🤣🤣 I love it, though! Hi Laura, I think you look flawless with this makeup look, if your eyeliner is breaking for you, put the eyeliner in the fridge for a little while(5-10 mins) on hot humid days and this may help with your application same for lipsticks,lip liners. This has helped me in the past & I hope you don’t mind me sharing this with you. Love Katherine xoxo

Off topic: I just discovered your channel (lucky me!). Have you tried M. Asam foundation? It is a soft mousse formula that provides medium to full coverage. I am a 76 year old beauty with textured skin. This particular foundation does not settle into wrinkles & makes my complexion look flawless.

I have tried the M. Asam, but I think it was more of a primer because there wasn't much of a shade to it. They actually had sent me a jar to try. I just didn't understand it because of the shade situation. I will definitely look more into it now. I have textured skin and would love something to smooth it out.

They have the Wheel of Fortune palette, the blush palette that goes with it, and a double-sided brush right now for under $24. You don't have to work so hard for the payoff on that palette, it's beautiful. I totally recommend it!😍

I think with those kind of eye shadows you almost need to get over that 1st layer of film and then they are way more pigmented! I was worried about that concealer shade, it worked but not much brightness a shade or 2 lighter might have been better, but no creasing! With the lipstick you can def make that work put on a nice brown lip liner and feather into the lipstick it will look beautiful!
I totally agree with you on the eyeshadow! I love the color story, so I'm making it work, lol. Definitely a couple shades lighter on the concealer, but I think the brightening powder helped! I actually returned the lipstick and Eyeliner and ordered a different shade lipstick. I am going to be so honest. I put lipliner on once and never retouch it through the day 🤦♀️ so I needed a deeper lipstick because I will reapply that through the day. I need to stop being so lazy 🤦♀️🤣 thanks so much for all the advice, sweetheart 😘

I got the same lipstick shade, honey bun, and was excited for those rich red/berry tones but it applied bright pink!! Have you found another lip product from LG that has those deeper tones? Great video! Very thorough review 😊
No, not yet. It seems her lipsticks are more light or sheer in the Italian marble line anyway. The jelly balm hydrating lippie is richer in color. I git the shade figher than life, and it's a very pretty shade. It's not a bright pink. It's more a pretty mauve.
@@LauraFagelman thank you for your reply ❤️ my most recent order from LG arrived yesterday, and I tried the ‘smart pout’ lipstick in the shade ‘witty’ which is supposed to be a matte and moisturizing transfer-proof lipstick. It was so interesting because it did give me that deeper richer tone that honey bun didn’t deliver; however, the matte was SOOO drying that when I pressed my lips together, there was no moisture… at all. I couldn’t get any movement at all when I tried to rub my lips together! It was like a completely dry surface to the touch but my lips appeared hydrated in the mirror!! I have never experienced a product like it before lol I’m not sure how I feel about it honestly.
Also, the Capri coast stick came in, but it was so light!! The d’oro glow that I already have was slightly too dark on my skin tone, but I can soften it up to work with the other products. The Capri coast really fell flat in terms of appearance though; it lacked the sun-kissed, fresh radiance of her other products… Are there any LG products you haven’t tried yet that you are wanting to order?!
@mallorykreiger what a bummer with the lipstick. I don't think I have tried the one you're talking about. I have found her bronzers a bit tricky. The D'oro is almost to light for me, but works ok for my winter shade. But if I went up a shade, it would be too dark. Same with the baked bronzer. Those run very deep, so I have to use very little product with a light hand. I want to try another mascara and her Kajal lip liner. I think I own pretty much everything else, lol.
@@LauraFagelman Lol same, we own a lot of her products!! Just to be upfront and transparent, I turned 32 a week ago, and I was born and raised by my grandparents here in Ohio! I heard you say you’re from Michigan in your video.. so that’s pretty cool we are midwestern neighbors! My grandma has been ordering LG for years from QVC, and I honestly never used her products until recently. I figured, what the heck, why not?! And the baked items are really lovely, so I’m glad I got to use them! My grandma turns 80 in October and she is into glam and sophisticated looks; when she had her knee replacements the staff would come in her room and hang out with her on their break because she was so positive and fun to be around. She would try new make up looks to pass the time lol I hope to have the same energy and attitude as time goes on!
I actually ordered the deepest shade of espresso martini but haven’t used it yet; I wanted to see how that would work in conjunction with the powder bronzers as a contour into the summer months. We have winter and summer shades as well; my grandma enjoys being in the sun, so her shades vary much wider than mine. Our weather has been really dreary lately, and all over the place. We went from a spring lite to an unexpected snow storm on my birthday!! It’s always something!
Her kajal eyeliners were buttery smooth! I haven’t got to try the kajal lip yet; but if it’s as easy to apply as the eyes, I think it will be a great product. The other item I don’t recommend is the new marble eyes liner. It is SO stiff and painful to apply. It does not apply easily, and you don’t even see the marble effect; we ordered the ‘ocean deep’ shade and it applies all blue. A smoother liner like Clinique’s quickliner is a wonderful alternative to achieve better coverage and comfort in my opinion!
I also prefer shopping Laura’s website directly over QVC for most items because the rewards are fantastic, not to mention the free shipping and returns. It’s so crazy how QVC charges shipping per ITEM! 4 LG items is $14 to ship.. that’s the price of an entire product. Highway robbery 😠
These days, we only order on QVC when there is a free shipping weekend or a product that is discontinued from LG’s website. Ulta recently added Charlotte Tilbury to their brands, and Laura Mercier was recently on QVC. There is another brand that was on QVC, Yensa. Do you have any experience with them?? It looks like something nice to try and the reviews are very high (4.5+ stars) on most items!

Laura if the lipstick is too light then use a bit darker lipliner and put the lipstick in the middle of the lips, that should work

I just found your channel and this is the only video I've watched so far, so please forgive me if you address my question in another video. What is your normal daily makeup routine? Do you normally use all these products? I'm one who is not a fan of a lot of products or spending a lot of time getting ready, so I tend to be more minimalist most days.
I'm so excited you're here, Tori. Yes, I am a full face makeup gal. I think the girls at my work think I'm a little goofy coming to work in full makeup, sometimes glam, lol. I think I spend the time practicing for an upcoming video. That's how I get the idea for a loom for the video. On days I'm not in the mood, I usually will wear a bit less. I normally will skip on the eyeshadow and use just a bronzer and a little shimmer. I get that this much isn't for everyone. Before I started my channel, I rarely even wore eyeshadow. Now I'm kinda invested in it. Hope this made any sense 🤔 XOXO 😘

Hi. I tried her products . I like them but find the powder foundation gets me very oily in my t zone. Any suggestions to how to keep my shine coming thru so fast. Great video. Ty 😍
Do you have the more matte or the luminous powder foundation? The luminous one can tend to do that. I can suggest using Blotting Paper on the tzone before applying the powder foundation. If you noticed, I used a powder over the foundation. That helps with the shine. You could also apply a light layer of a matte setting spray on the tzone before applying the products. Hopefully that helps 🤞😘
By the way I think you may have just had foundation all over your lips prior to applying the lipstick! Since those lipsticks aren’t very full coverage it’s mixing with the foundation on your like rather than covering it up so maybe try wiping that off before applying the lipstick
You're exactly right!! I did end up purchasing a deeper shade. Even after wiping off the foundation, it was a little too light still for my liking. I love the deeper shade. I still use the lighter one, but with a lip liner to darken it a bit 🤗 😘
