My skin tone/coloring is much like yours and I’ve purchased the *light/fair* kit that was recently on sale. Your tutorial was very helpful, thank you. I don’t think I’ll go for the bronzer because it seems a little dark for me, but I’ll take a look once I try it all out. I agree, your skin looks beautiful. I have sun spots (years of gardening and horses) so I’ll need to do some touch up ahead of time, but we’ll see how it goes 😊❤
I’ve done the same as you. I started with the Porcelain but it was a little light for me and then I purchased the fair and now l mix it and it’s lovely. I’m a person who has never liked foundation as I’ve never been happy with the colour on my skin but I just love it too. I’m in my 70s.
I purchased these products (baked balance and brighten in medium and light) also bronzer titled Baked Bronze in medium. Then I bought the baked blush in Coral Cove. I love everything! Since I am quite a bit older than you, these products work great on mature skin. The foundation stays on all day! Even in the Summer months…I am so impressed with these products. Thank you for the wonderful review!
I adore her blushes and highlighters! I MUST try the baked foundation and bronzer. I’ve been wanting to try the foundation for many years and it looks flawless on everyone I’ve seen it on.
I love the LG The Ideal Fix concealer. This is the first time I’ve ever used a concealer & I love it!! I also LOVE the LG Retractable KABUKI BRUSH!! Game changer!! I like that I can control the brush & apply more/less of the Baked Balance N Brighten. I’m mid 50’s & want to try to hide my dark spots/sun spots.
I am having the same issue, and I think it must have to do with what they have on their skin BEFORE they put on the bb&b.. I have great skin and have used Spackle first, but still don't get that much glow.. did just order the BB and Glow.. hopefully it will be a bit more radiant..
I'm 61 and really love the baked powder foundation. I run hot and can have tzone oil. Wearing regular liquid foundation can feel heavy and in summer feel slick. This is so lightweight and you can build it. But as she mentioned use a concealer where needed, since it's not total coverage. Do Use a moisturer. 😊
I have dry and sensitive skin, and I love this powder foundation ❤️ I use Paula’s Choice ultra-rich moisturizer as a primer and Laura Gellers Spackle Mist on top (not always) and I use the powder foundation in the color Tan as a bronzer, that way it doesn’t get to sparkly 😜 I use her bronzer with her quench-n-tint foundation and with her tinted moisturizer SPF 50+.
I have this product in my stash and I can’t wait to get it back out to use! What an inspiring review and your explanation of the brushes make sense and I feel like I’ll love this even more just from switching brushes!
A suggestion, as I just started using these LG products: I'd been using Bare Minerals in medium, so I just dip my brush in a little of that prior to sweeping it across the B&B. Just the right amount of shine, no oil slick look...
I recently ordered Baked-N-Brighten color correcting foundation in medium and the Double Take Baked full coverage in medium. I'm looking forward to trying them. I'm going to look for the Duo eye shadow. Great product reviews! Thank you.
I'm wondering if it's the lighting and video these days that makes the blush and bronzer look too stripey and unblended. I've been noticing that on several of the channels I watch of mature women who I've followed for several years and I know they didn't look like that in the past.
I love all the face products but don't like the eyeshadows. For my eyes I use the French vanilla all over my lid and up to the brow. I then use the bronzer in my crease and a light brush of Tropic Hue on the lid. I use the Sculpt-N-Stay brow pencil and gel. I find her eyeliners to by to heavy. I use a light gray form NYX. Her lipsticks are very nice. I agree with you to much of Laura is a lot, but I adore the Bake and Balance because I have never been happy with liquid foundation that sets in my creases.
I am having a terrible time trying to decide between fair and porcelain. I think I'm going to go for porcelain. I have used Clinique almost powder foundation in '03 light for about 20 years. I'm 50 now and my skin is just a bit drier and have a few fine lines around my eyes. So excited to try this, I've watched about 20 different reviews and they all seem to like it really well. I'm pretty minimal, eyebrow pencil, mascara and some sort of light coverage foundation. I haven't worn any liquid foundations since high school. It feels so gross. Your skin is absolutely beautiful, I'm thinking the illuminating one might be more fun in the summer.
Your comment is helpful! I placed my first LG face product order (have used the Kajal for years) this week and I was struggling with the Baked n Brighten foundation colors, too. I am lightskinned with a clear blue (i.e. cool) undertone. Everyone says Porcelain is the coolest, but I'm afraid it will be too light for the way I use foundation and powder products: on top of a full layer of physical/mineral sunscreen, which by nature is whitening and needs the skin color restored by other products on top. So, I actually bought Medium! It seemed to be the least warm of the mid-range shades. It's too bad LG doesn't have a wider range of undertones. A lot of her products seem warm-leaning, even ones subtitled "neutral." We'll have to see how it works for me.
@@fourducksoriginal people are saying it oxidizes which means it gets a shade darker once you put it on. I'm assuming it mixes with the oil on your skin and darkens, my mother-in-law and I both got porcelain and it was perfect for us. Good luck!
@@tammiehammett5054 thanks for the instant feedback and help! I'll look out for the oxidation (maybe it won't oxidize as much if it's touching a thick layer of zinc oxide and not the oils on my skin?). If it goes too dark or orange (the curse), I'll know to try Porcelain--thanks again!
Part of the reason for the overly shiny face might be because the person didn't buy the Baked Bronze-n-Brighten Multipurpose Bronzer, they are using a product called Baked Body Frosting Face & Body Glow. That's the one that comes in the shade name she used. Baked Bronze-n-Brighten Multipurpose Bronzer comes in Fair, Medium & Deep. All have much less sheen. I've used LG for about 20years. I remember when there was only the shade Medium in Balance & Brighten. I too use both Porcelain & Fair or Porcelain & Medium which I find is less yellow than the Fair.
I personally think the broze is orange. I also have some of their products. Love the foundation I got fair but think I need to mix another foundation thanks for that advise. I as well think it's to shiny it looks oily. I will try that double mat product. I do hope they can tone down some of the shine. At my age I don't need glimmer.
Loving that one shot eye shadow duo! I have the B&B, and you’ve inspired me to dig it out 😊 That bronze though, to me at least, looks far too much for your complexion - not so much sun kissed as sun slapped in the face.
Hi Katherine! As per usual you look fabulous! I'm so disappointed that with my dry dehydrated skin I can't use these types of powder products. I end up looking like Bette Davis in what ever happened to baby Jane! Ahh the curse of dry skin.... x
OMG i use that analogy all the time to describe when a foundation looks awful on me! Lmao! Ive never heard anybody else say that before! So funny, but its so true! hahaha
Im really late to this thread. I considered buying the Gellar line but couldn't justify the money since it does not offer full coverage. I instead went with Loreal infallible products.
Wow love this review and I also got two shades but mostly as in winter I am very light and summer a bit tan so two of them just perfect. It just looks like my skin but the one I dream of having 😁
I was wondering about what would happen with all the luminosity in those products. I’ve noticed that on me, I can get what I’d describe as a leathery, hard kind of shine which looks weird if I use a shimmery blush and bronzer. It’s a challenge to achieve a luminous look without going overboard, especially when looking for a dewy, hydrated look.
I got the same effect from the Armani Neo Nude powder foundation that touted being great for mature skin. It made me look like my face was made of textured plastic.
My husband hates the laura geller balance and brighten kit I ordered because it's too shiny they put glitter in it I like my makeup more natural looking I haven't hardly used it and spent over $200 on it. I love the eyeliner .. they had the concealer backorder so I couldn't try it. I didn't see it smoothing wrinkles or pores even with the primer for aged skin, I don't remember what they called it.
I think I’m going to like the product. Almost too much shimmer. I really think the Primer is what made so much shimmer. I have to be honest, I’m 66 and SPF is important to me. I’m in Florida a lot. I have been using the Mary Kay Primer with SPF. I really like that one but not fond of their foundations. I am impressed with this foundation.
You say fine lines and wrinkles but you really don’t have them. At over 60 I have some deeper wrinkles and have never found any product that doesn’t sink right in. I’m hoping this will work for me
That bronzer is way too much. Maybe it’s just how it looks on camera, but it looks VERY made up. I have the baked foundation and blush. Unfortunately, the foundation is a bit warm for me, and her blush lays down A LOT of color, so you have to be really careful with it. I like the texture of the makeup. Like you, I’m amazed how it lasts.
You should NEVER EVER apply any type of products to your face using a downward motion. I was watching your tutorial and you started by applying the Primer. You swept up over the nose and down the cheeks. You went across the forehead and down between the eyes and hairline all the way moving in a DOWNWARD MOTION down the sides of the face and DOWN the neck. Always remember to go upwards with light feathering strokes. Never rub products in! The skin on your face is delicate please treat it with care ❤.
As a makeup artist I think when putting on foundation and a powder you ALWAYS brush down because of the little fuzzy hairs on your face, downward smooths them and makes your look smooth not having powder etc “caught in the fuzz!!

Why do you need a bronzer ? I think blush would be enough. I love the luminosity.

I’m very surprised at how glowing your face is. I use the same foundation and don’t get that much glow. I love this product.

They used Baked Body Frosting Face & Body Glow on the face and not the standard Bronze & Brighten.

I think this is a beautiful look!
Do you add sun screen, or rather can one use it? Personally, sunscreen is imperative, especially as I have rosacea.
Thanks for your insight and help!
Thank you for the video 😊
Would be helpful to zoom in, that way we could see how mature pores look with that powder foundation. Thank you❤️
Thanks for this video. helpful! the foundation looks metalic. Is that shine and reflection I see caused by the foundation?
Awesome. Great review! Keep ‘‘em coming:)

Thank you Marie!!
I have an order of makeup from Laura Geller coming to me this week. I hope what I ordered work as well for me.
Lovely! Thank you!
I live how you say immediate pay off. Can't wait to try.
Which foundation did u use since also has a glow foundation too?
This is the best video on these products I have seen! (And realistic)👍

I love the look
Love this product I just purchased it and it’s amazing!
Very informative!
I have to also blend these two foundation colors. I see from the comments several other people have this issue. Interesting!
It looks sooo pretty on you 👍
Laura geller said her foundation is not a powder but a baked cream
The bronzer on your cheeks seemed like too much. Did you feel so?
I thought so too. It just seemed to be a bit too bright.
She didn't need the blush. Made the skin look like a clown. Face was pretty with the foundation period. She over killed her pretty face.
Way too much color on the cheeks that doesn’t look natural and it’s blotchy. Combining the porcelain and fair foundation works perfectly for me.
I'm wondering if it's the lighting and video these days that makes the blush and bronzer look too stripey and unblended. I've been noticing that on several of the channels I watch of mature women who I've followed for several years and I know they didn't look like that in the past.
She should have skipped the bronzer.
How do you mix them? I bought light but now fair coming. Do you use a setting spray. Mine turned orangey wondering if it's the setting spray

I checked and LG help says use your moisturizer and SPF before using the spackle.
