    This video is a bit different than my normal ones since I'm not really focusing on writing at all, but I had fun making it even if it took longer than I wanted/my videos usually do. If you want to see more like it, support the video so I know it's worth taking a different angle on my content like this!

    Kerorira is a beast. Kind of surprised you didn’t mention how crucial he was to making Bocchi the success it became. Designing the characters, supervising cuts, directing and creating an absolutely ludicrous amount of key animation for the series. He was also the person who got CloverWorks to peruse the IP for adaptation in the first place because of his passion for the source material.

    • @danyul-
      @danyul-  Год назад +4

      Going too deep into his work would have been a bit too much of a tangent for the video, which was already a much heftier script than I was expecting. Dude is definitely a beast though

    WEP, despite the baffling final episode, was still an incredible experience. I could tell the animators were giving their all despite some glaring issues behind the scenes, but It was enough for me (especially if just like the entirety of TPN2, I pretend the final episode doesn't exist). With fantastic shows like Shadows House and Bocchi the Rock, I can only hope that things have gotten slightly better for the studio.

    Clover Works for sure had its ups and downs but I never actually knew that part of that struggle was spurred from the company it was working under. I really like how to you managed to tie the studios progression (good and bad) together in both a linear and neatly constructed way :) Great work as always man!

    I was drawing a little bit, 1 year or 2 years ago, and then competing in a small community competition on a twitch channel I decided I wanted to do a small animation, it was such a pain in the ass. After drawing and animating (semi animating, since I used old layers to complete the animation, on pixlr...) I hold artists in high regard, I'll never attack artists or studios for their art, however I'll only give the critique it may deserve, never any hate towards the artists or towards the directors, only their decisions.
    Also great video!

    one thing I love in both A1 and clover works anime is that they dont just adapt the source they improve it [when they do]

    Wonder Egg was a HUGE disappointment for me (and most people). Over time, I've been watching less anime, and experiencing the disappointment Wonder Egg brought (in addition to the Promised Neverland) really did not encourage me to continue to watch more anime made by the studio. I will say, I am guilty of blaming the studio when an anime that i've read the source material of is 'badly' adapted, but they REALLY dropped the ball on both of those. But yeah, after watching the anime they made last season, I'm definitely much more motivated to continue to watch more anime made by cloverworks. Really liked this video, I think making more videos in this documantary-esque (?) style would be nice.
    Side note: That profile card at the end is way too big for the profile to actually fit. Confused me for a second, lmao

    If a Show is well produced and consistent. It dosen't mean the production has a "good" production time. Some of the best produced animes were made in terrible productions. And this just means the productions are more consistent because of production lines and animation producers. Not better "deadlines". ANIPLEX is not generous at all. And i don't know about JOEN.
