  • This ride on lawn mower is rusty and rotten. It has been left outside for years. The engine won't turn over and the whole thing looks like it's ready to be scrapped. Will it run?
    Thank you to my Patrons

Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

I owned a Simplicity/Agco riding mower here in the US with one of those B&S Intek V-Twin engines. It was dead-solid reliable and extremely easy to maintain. The only issue I ever had was the fuel pump. There is a vent on the back side that tends to get clogged with dust and debris. I would be mowing along just fine and then it would start to act like it was running out of fuel. It would stay running if I applied the choke but even then it would eventually expire. After leaving it to sit for a while it would restart and run like nothing had happened, until it soon repeated the issue. After pulling the pump off and cleaning the vent with carburetor cleaner, it never gave anymore trouble. Excellent video, as always. Keep up the great work, and cheers!

Hang on you said a leaking inlet valve? Yet the seats on both looked perfect to me. Had you overlooked the tappet adjustment? I've seen where it's a common ocurrance on some of the OHV engines. Looking at the honing marks on those cylinders it's not done many hours , but poor maintainance could point to valve gaps . Finally just an observation, normally you strip an engine in minutes due to fast forwarding, but yet you have us sitting there watching you hoover cobwebs from an engine, very poorly in real time. We all know how to use a vacuum cleaner. In my eyes you don't tackle the most important things to check first. Are you a mechanic, or hobbyist? To me you talk too posh to be a mechanic 😂😂😂😂😂 , more a white collar worker? If I'm wrong I apologise. This is the first time I've seen an overhead valve small engine taken apart & repaired. Very interesting. It seems like a lot of engine for such a small mower, but who ever complained about too much horsepower?

Nice! I got my lawn mower fixed also last day i think. or 2 days ago yea 2 days ago. Got the motor running aigan so thats nice. The trans seems to be working so all im gotta do is pump up all wheels and lets go for a spin! So excited. And im only 13 Hold that in mind. I checked the engine i cleaned the carb. And got it back running even tho it was actually sezed. "Not from the spark coil or so" It was actually stuck and got it free aigan. it only took me about 5 days getting the engine done! And it was standing 5 years not used. So yea Lets hope imma go for a spin with it sometime soon

If you look closely at some of the screwheads, you can see a dimple in one of the corners of the plus. This means they are not Phillips heads, but JIS heads. Japan industrial standards, because of course they have to be different

This is a fascinating reminder that even the simplest of gasoline powered tools are breathtakingly complicated compare to battery electric. I wonder if electric landscaping equipment will last longer, because people are not willing to simply leave electrical things outside for a decade.

WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE IT OUTSIDE AND PRESSURE WASH IT BEFORE YOU STARTED, SO YOUR WORKING WITH A CLEAN MACHINE.

that silicon seal that got inside the carburator and around the float is probably the last repair they did on this engine i can't imagine the engine would of run like that and it probably leaked a lot because you know silicon isn't fuel resistant

The blue spike shaped object @55:58 makes the entire setup look not unlike a scale model as it looks not unlike a pen. Perspective is a fun thing.

What did you expect from the test ride that you installed the rear wing to keep it on the track?
