He certainly puts out gems. His content is really interesting and entertaining. Iv also got a few of my own small gas engines up and running thanks to his videos.
This channel is one of the best repair and/or restore sites on RUclips! I learn something new every time I watch your videos. Thanks for sharing the video. Well done again.
I like all your will it run or restoration videos. I've re watched one of your older videos when you rebuilt the Briggs and Stratton opposed twin engine. It really helped me rebuild mine the right way
I really enjoy the videos you produce. The time taken to look at each part and explain the thought process before progressing is excellent. The new mic is working perfectly. Initially, I thought you were narrating the video during editing. It took a few minutes to realise that you were narrating whilst working. Look forward to the next one, keep up the good work 👍
I love these videos 😊 you have inspired me to work on things like this in currently working on a husquavana weed wacker and i now have 7 lawnmowers thank you
Nice episode; great video quality and the audio sounded very good. I always enjoy the voice-over/narration. Looking forward to the upcoming restoration vids.
A nice surprise seeing a video going up. Recovering from wisdom tooth removal and I was just about to run out of content to watch elsewhere. Mic System is A+ . We can hear you crisp and clear. And in dead zones between talking, the background activities are also crisp but not too loud to be overpowering. Perfection as always.
New mic feedback - you sound just as good as you always do man 😉 👉👉👉. I love it when there's a new upload from you. Thorough enjoy it every time. I could watch and listen to one every single day if possible. Your ability and knowledge levels are super impressive, and as for a RUclipsr who talks, for me, your voice is right up there with This Old Tony, RRC, Ca Lem, and Diecast Resurrection (RIP, gone but not forgotten 😢). Thanks for sharing dude 🙏🙏🙏. 😎
Just some advice from a mechanic You really shouldn’t be using a wobble extension on the ratchet unless you absolutely have to as it can put the bolts in at an angle damaging the thread
Love the UK Tractors and some of the features they have. I wish we had the same here in North America, when it comes to the consumer variety machines, like rear PTO.
23:37 you can also use a little bit of naphtha. Tho i wouldn't do this inside an enclosed space as that stuff is naaasty. The risk is well worth it, it dissolves any grime very fast and very well. Whenever i do maintenance on my bike, i take out the engine, and chuck basically everything else that's not rubber or fuel weak plastic in there and they come out clean as new. It does leave a white residue, but some water and a little bit of dish soap cleans it fast.
I really like the way the British say, "the belt is perished". An American like James Condon says, "the gas line has become petrified". Both adequate descriptions that the gas line needs changed. James also checks the air filter, and changes it immediately if as he rubs it with his finger & little balls roll off.
It’s so intriguing how such an old mower with that engine can be robust even to this day, certainly enjoyed the content and cannot wait for the next video, keep up the great work 😃
Awesome video! It’s got a bit of blow by I bet that’s why the oil was getting pushed past the plunger for the points, love the attention to detail on all your work!
I look forward to your videos no matter how long they take . Will it run or the full restoration I enjoy learning more about these engines and the machines you work on. Thank you very much for sharing! Till the next one , cheers!
There are lots of spider webs on the clutch of that lawn mower and is good that you ree use parts of old lawn mowers which is good for the environment and saves money
I had to replace 3 carbs before I realized the cheap plastic fuel valve was leaking when "off". Cool shot of the sun/sunspots! Mic is great. Whenever you post, we'll watch. Check out @Taryl Fixes All, I seem to recall he had a video on converting from points to electronic ignition. That will fix the plunger oil leak.
41:55 That seems to be a rather more elaborate ignition system than what I have seen in most mowers. Anyone know what type it is, please? New mic is fine.
Any reason you didn't spray brake cleaner on the points? There is still some oil residue on the condenser wire that easily migrates to the points again.
Up front, you do really excellent restorations, and I enjoy your channel. Subscribed. Though, I am not a fan of "Will it run?" for the sake of running the motor--just because other channels do it, if the motor parts may be damaged. I understand that somewhere along the process you must do enough forensics to decide to spend time and money on an engine--or not. Though, if you have a good cylinder block and questionably stuck rings, or carbon that has fallen off the piston--then it may damage the block--then I would rather not see the engine run until whatever steps the parts are needed to prevent the engine parts from getting damaged. Additionally, haven seen you flatten the deck using figure-8 motions, I wonder if there is a telescope laying around somewhere : )
New mic system seams to work great. But i would recomend putting your voice rec in Mono, it didnt happen often but torwards the end i had most of your voice in the Left Channel rather than both. Other than that crisp and clear. And take your time with the restoration vids. Ive worked on a few engines myself and i know waiting for parts ect takes time, So keep it up!
I'll take quality over quantity any day, and your videos, sir, are top quality indeed. Well worth the wait.

I like your “will it run” videos, as I enjoy the problem solving process you go through.
Got a motor like that on a old wheel horse
I have just stated exactly the opposite preference above. LOL!
That shot of the sun was awesome!
very good as usual its satifying to see something that seems dead at first just come back to life like it wasn't abandoned for the last 20+ years
I always find your videos interesting. You really show from start to finish. I can't wait until your next video. Thank you very much for sharing.
Thank you for talking about the upcoming projects. Lovely to know there’s more to come.
Always love the detail in your work. Thanks for the sun spot bonus. Not something seen everyday.
This Men is talent in person 👌
No matter how long it takes you to upload a video , I'll patiently wait and watch it 🔧🔧🔧
Your videos are always worth the wait, so don’t worry about that 👍🏻
the quality of your videos is outstanding, so the time it takes to make them is understandable. thanks for sharing.
Honestly any content is good content we all appreciate the will it run videos so we have stuff to watch
Thank you for the neet shot of the sun. It's fun to see you breath new life into an old engine. 😀
I like all your will it run or restoration videos. I've re watched one of your older videos when you rebuilt the Briggs and Stratton opposed twin engine. It really helped me rebuild mine the right way
Never worked in a Briggs opposed twin. But their V2 engines are a nightmare.
New mic system sounds good, always nice to relax to a nice restoration vid on a Friday! Looking forward to your big restoration reveal
I really enjoy the videos you produce. The time taken to look at each part and explain the thought process before progressing is excellent.
The new mic is working perfectly. Initially, I thought you were narrating the video during editing. It took a few minutes to realise that you were narrating whilst working.

I love your restoration videos,so really excited to hear you have three projects coming!!💯👍
The new microphone sounds great!!!😁
I love these videos 😊 you have inspired me to work on things like this in currently working on a husquavana weed wacker and i now have 7 lawnmowers thank you
Love a bit of machinery restorer. Not only entertaining but has helped me out with some fixes here & there.
Nice job, as always! Your mic sounds great. Thanks for the "teaser" for the upcoming restorations...looking forward to them. Thanks for sharing!
Nice episode; great video quality and the audio sounded very good. I always enjoy the voice-over/narration. Looking forward to the upcoming restoration vids.
The mic is perfect, video quality is perfect too. Love these quick will it run videos!
Those sun spot shots are amazing! Great video as always.
Glad you like them!
A nice, informative, 'will it run', and your audio sounds excellent too. Thank you.
Audio quality is superb-as is the video content! Brilliant.
Yes man, I really enjoyed this video and commentary. Well done as always. Mic sounds really good. Look forward to the next project! Cheers

your new mic is superb..your voice is excellent..i have always loved your voice..a perfect tone!

Keep up the good work. I always enjoy your videos both the restoration and the will it run. Even the length is fine, never seems too long.👍
Why don’t you test the rear diff?
Love the UK Tractors and some of the features they have.
I wish we had the same here in North America, when it comes to the consumer variety machines, like rear PTO.
New 🎤 is brilliant sir. Very clear voice, far less background noise.

You and Mustie1 are my fav channels for this stuff.
What do you do with the restored mowers after you are done? Love your content!!

Always happy to see a new video upload, no worries about quantity :). Sound was good with your new set-up.
Nice job checking areas out.
Once again an excellent video👍. Great quality in your editing and audio was spot on.
It’s so intriguing how such an old mower with that engine can be robust even to this day, certainly enjoyed the content and cannot wait for the next video, keep up the great work 😃
I always love the commentary videos! They are my faves.
It's always a good day to see you've posted. Thanks!
Audio sounds clear and I can easily hear you working on the engine.
Definitely looking forward to your next big restoration video 👍
Hi I love watching your videos as previously mentioned quality over quantity, quality always wins please keep them coming.
On the starter gear ⚙️ if I remember correctly you can flip the gear on the other side and reinstall it and use the good side of teeth.
I love these will it run videos. I don’t think anyone has this content for small engines. Keep them coming please
Have a great day !
Crazy to think that the UK has so many Briggs engines, but I also never seen a lawnmower with a stock exhaust going out the back
I really enjoy all your videos great mike too by the way round very clean and clear JeffinMaine
I always enjoy your videos, even if they take a long time to come out. Cheers from🇨🇦
Great audio, great video, as always.
Your the king, of those single cylinder Briggs engines I love them total bullet proof engine can get them running like new Over and over
Excellent video, great video footage, and well-explained thank you 👍
Love these videos…. Could you do a workshop tour
Awesome video! It’s got a bit of blow by I bet that’s why the oil was getting pushed past the plunger for the points, love the attention to detail on all your work!
Great. Love watching these will it run vids.
Even before I see the ending of this video I say you are going to have it in running condition 👍
Excellent video as always, thanks very much.
I'll watch your videos whenever you post them. I don't mind waiting!
I look forward to your videos no matter how long they take . Will it run or the full restoration I enjoy learning more about these engines and the machines you work on. Thank you very much for sharing!
Till the next one , cheers!
Great work as always from the USA!!! Love the exhaust. Looks like you have hillbillies to.
Mic sounds good. Thanks for the video btw.
Always a quality video. Thank you.
The microphone sounds crystal clear and steady volumn.
Funny I enjoy these as I'm not that keen on mechanics or engines. Great job mate

Great video, You are doing a very good job. I like your videos!
Where do you get those foam gaskets for the top of the air cleaner?
Great video as always. Thanks.👍
41:55 That seems to be a rather more elaborate ignition system than what I have seen in most mowers. Anyone know what type it is, please? New mic is fine.
It's the old points system which was later replaced with the more reliable electronic ignition system.
You sound great with the new mic 😁💯👍👍
I can imagine those large parts take a long time to come back from powder coating. No wonder why you have multiple projects going at once.
You should make a race lawn mower with that
Would there be any benefit to putting powdered graphite on the starter gear?
When you look at the Sun like that it makes you realise just how tiny our little planet is. 👍
Any reason you didn't spray brake cleaner on the points?
There is still some oil residue on the condenser wire that easily migrates to the points again.
Awesome job as always
Great content and the mic sounds great 👍
Thanks 👍
What brand and type of black paint do you use to paint all the metal parts in your videos?
The new microphone sounds great!
I'm the same. If i get something, if it can't be used as is, it ends up parts. Parts extreme, i break apart stuff down to sheet metal.
what should the gap be in mm for the point. 45:30 min in the video?
.020" converts to 0.511mm
@@MachineryRestorer Thx!
Another Westwood video can’t believe it so happy would like to see a restoration of a t1200
Thanks. I have two T1200's that need restoring so there will be a restoration of one at some point
@@MachineryRestorer thats great would you do the grass collector as well?
@@abesmith8642 yes

Great job brother 👏
lookin' good, keep well...
so what happens with all the finished and fixed mowers?
What do you do with the restored machinery?
Hi another great video! ,..can you tell me if you would be interested in a very rough John deere x120 I have come across to work on ?
love it mate keep up the good work
As you worked on the starter, I wondered if the gear could have been flipped over and the other end used. Is it interchangeable?
I agree quality over quantity. Love your videos 🤩.
Thank you for your video.
I could literally build a whole vehicle in 3 months...used to build dune buggies out of old vw's during the winter and then sell them in the summer
I like when you talk on your videos.

Thanks for the tips. The.last 5 minutes I was using the cameras integrated microphone so that may have been why
@@MachineryRestorer yes that probably explains it
Audio sounds clean.
Mic sounds great. Be careful of placement. A few times we hear "heavy breathing."
