God of War 1&2 elevated the action-adventure genre and were damn impressive on PS2 hardware. They should've been brought to modern hardware before most other classic series. The PSP titles shouldn't forgotten either as they are important for kratos as a character in the greek saga as well as ascension.

I would cry out of happiness if there ever was a remaster of these games for pc, I would literaly skip class just to play it all day, it is a true dream of mine and a friend that these games are remastered one day, god of war 2 is in the top 5 best games ever made, a true 10/10 masterpiece that definitely deservers to be honored with a remaster.

God of War II is my favorite game of all time. I just want a port or a remastered version just so I can play it again (and I would avenge my past self and unlock God Armor).
I am really Glad that big GOW Content Creators got together and discussed this. Time and time again you prove your how much care about this Franchise and your love for them is unparalleled. Hopefully SSM studios take notice and just give us the damn remaster already. A lot of people want to play them but are limited by either PS+ BS subscription or not having a PS2/PS3. Its not only sad but disrespectful that the GOW Franchise is what it is today due to the Greek Saga. I am sure Ragnarok and 2018 Sold really well, but GOW1, 2 and 3 Sold really well back in the day. Hell back in the day people bought PS exclusively to play GOW2. To think they would disrespect their own legacy like that is unbelievable. I am still positive as I am a hopeless optimist, as SSM has demonstrated that they do follow GOW Content creators and listen to them. Hopefully they do this time as well. Its funny how I got PS3 just to be able to play Ascension and other Classics (mostly Ascension) despite getting my PS5. Fortunately my 1TB PS3 slim didn't have any issues (so far haha) and runs pretty well which I got in second hand at 100 USD that came with 20+ PS3 games Ascension included. Was worth every penny. It would be nice to have a remaster and make it more accessible to other people who don't have a PS3. But until that happens I do encourage people to get a PS3 Second hand 100-150 USD for a second hand PS3 will be a lifetime of joy with these classics and many other classic titles where gameplay took priority over graphics (although they were still really good). Asura's Wrath, Infamous Second Son, Dante's Inferno, GOW1,2,Coo,GOS. They will keep you occupied and in my opinion is better than a PC upgrade for 1000+ USD just to be able to emulate games that too with freezes and lag. And this is coming from someone who has played GOW3 and Ascension on 10 fps and beat them both more than 10 times.
I literally asked my grandma for the first 5 games. My dad has a PS3 that can play PS2 and PS1 games, so I found the collection for GoW 1&2, the Origins collection, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, then the PS4 Remastered version of GoW 3
You guys have no idea how much I appreciate this iniciative! JonFord made a video about it, but doesn't seem to have gotten a lot of attention, with this maybe we can get somewhere! I live in South America and is basically impossible to play GoW1, 2, CoO, GoS & Ascension without a PS3 or through an emulator. I haven't played any of those games in *5 years* and that really bothers me, considering it's a franchise that I LOVE SO MUCH! An remake is not necessarily needed by Bluepoint, although with the 20th anniversary of God of War, I would say anything is possible. Regardless, a port of Bluepoint's remaster, GoW: Collection on the PS4 and PS5 would be enough in my opinion.
i mean it's obvious that the developers need to do something with their games when the best way to play them is the emulator. Also it would really help to add some healthy fixes to the game. Like give the player ability to choose certain segments to replay, if they want to. And if there will be remaster it need to be on all platforms.

The most realistic scenario with those games, would be SM or Bluepoint just porting GoW: Collection or the individual games digitally on newer consoles, same as it was on PS Store on the PS3. Just the vanilla GoW1 & 2 on 720p/60fps.

I started playing god of war around two years ago after one of my friends recommended it to me. I loved 2018 and Ragnarok but I’ve never had the experience of playing the original games like 1 & 2. I think a remaster or remake would be so fun on the ps5.

they need a remake, where there will be a modified combat system with new techniques on weapons, the addition of Jump Cancel and Turbo mode, as well as a system that does not allow spamming with one technique like in ninja Gaiden

I started playing god of war around two years ago after one of my friends recommended it to me. I loved 2018 and Ragnarok but I’ve never had the experience of playing the original games like 1 & 2. I think a remaster or remake would be so fun on the ps5.

The HD duology on PS3 IS a remaster. GOW3 on PS4 is also a remaster.
