The lads at Altmärkische Kettenwerke were positively insane: We need the biggest possible boom in our new assault gun, what sort of armament should we use? How about a modified depth charge launcher that fires 380 mm rockets which each weigh about 350 kilograms?
idk, my favorite is the "How about we mount a 355mm recoilless rifle on a Do-217" And not only that, they actually test fired the thing. It did better than expected, it managed to destroy the target, but also it's own fuselage. Which is a good ratio if you ask me.
What seth didn't mention that the game currency system used to be even worse and the current shitty system is the much improved one. That and the devs are total hacks and ripoff artists. They previously sold a "master collection" which was advertised as having all the commanders ,extra content ,etc. Well it did not and people payed a high price with no ability to get refund because this was before steams current refund policy and most wouldn't even notice at first what they were missing , well not until they ran out of time for a refund by today's standard on steam. Luckily tho this is where modders came in and now you can get mods that unlock all units and abilities per faction to play with and the devs can't do shit about it.
Company of Heroes 2 is one of those decent games that still kinda leaves a sour taste in your mouth because of the goddamn DLC pricing. A problem the original CoH never had, and one I hope CoH3 never adopts.
I always felt like the Goblins in Harry Potter are Jews was reaching because I never once tried to connect the two. I feel like some people are just showing how they focus on race subconsciously
The old drop system in COH2 used to give you currency after every game even against AI and commanders could only be bought via DLC or getting one in a random drop you couldn't buy them with in game currency also the Wermacht used to have to get to battle phase 2 to get pack guns
Sturmtiger used rocket powered shells. A few were produced, but they were on the defensive and it was a pretty big waste of resource. But yes, its real and was used.

I have great memories from another WW2 strategy game, R.U.S.E. It's was a great strategy game with a very unique mechanics. The Ruses were battle changing abilities you could cast on the map. For example you can spoof the enemy radars to show that you planes are coming for a bombing run from a different direction. The enemy can also use them, so the whole battle becomes a mindfu@k of smoke and mirrors. Sadly it was pulled from Steam for legal reasons, so the only way to play it, is just plain honest piracy. I genuinely expect Sseth to cover it one of these days and just put the torrent in the video description.

It suddenly clicked for me that WH40K: Dawn Of War II is just Company of Heroes 2 with WH40K skin installed.
WH 40 K Dawn Of War II and III, Company of Heroes 1 - 3, Ages Of Empires IV uses Essence engines different versions.
