We can dream all day, getting results requires breaking down the dream into tangible pieces. We're able to do most anything in life, if we organize and focus....easier said than done! Odd how we all struggle with similar issues. Thanks for trying to keep us all on track.

Thanks buddy, 100% agree. Some of my craziest accomplishments started with a crazy dream or spark. But if it weren't for organization, focus, and a fair bit of stubbornness, most things would never happen.

Jeff, I agree with you for the most part. I too don't make videos ofter. I make a video when I have something to share or a need to make information available. I don't want to set a goal of something like one video a week. That means I am making a video for the sake of making a video. Too many of the people on RUclips do that very thing. I would say that most of the people I follow to that every week and I just click them off. I don't need to know any more about the DJI Action camera. So I say, don't make a video just to be making a video. There are far too many of those out there.

That is great insight Stan. I want to push myself to learn new editing techniques and sneak those into video's. Agreed, i think we have all seen enough of the DJI action camera/ new product speculation for a lifetime :)

Best thing you said: “is it time, or is it focus?” ... we all complain about time, but rarely do I hear myself complain about focus. Great point, great vid, thanks for sharing from the heart.

I'm being realistic with my hobby goals given my circumstances (full time mother to two special needs boys, aka 24-7 caregiver). My hobbies are my ways to keep my sanity. I consider them my therapy. Sometimes I do them, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I just want to rest to recharge. But yeah, I want to be a better photographer, guitarist and be physically fit. I have a printed excel file that I check when I accomplish my daily to-do items connected to my personal goals. Sometimes I check only one and that's okay. Better than nothing. :) Thanks for this video; I can totally relate. And thanks for your helpful tutorials!

Hey Jeff, first off WELCOME BACK BROTHER 💙 👊.. YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......... I really enjoy your videos and would love for you to keep CREATING! With that being said, I've been in recovery my whole life for one addition or another (drugs, food, anger...) So when you speak of Honestly your absolutely RIGHT.. If I want to stay alive I no longer have the luxury of doing anything else, but being BRUTALLY HONEST..... integrity and honesty are Paramount when it comes to staying sober or being in recovery for any addiction or struggle...... if you lie to your yourself you'll lie to everyone else.. lol.. Honestly, open-mindedness and finally willingness are the three keys that'll keep everyone as happy as they can possibly be,..... at least that's my opinion, from my life experience....... Dude, God bless you and Keep Creating..... The community needs you!..
Btw,. I've been doing a series of treadmill walks everyday, it's a bit of a comedy, lol but I'm on day 42 going for 90 straight and my goal is to deal with life on lifes terms, but do it with a smile and maybe even some laughter! I feel that having fun in everything you do is the key to success.. Also that one's success should only be measured by where you came from not, where your at! 👍👍👍👍🤪🤪🤙🤙 Yahooooooooo...🤙🤙🤙👍🤙👍🤙👍🤪🤙🤪👍🤙🤪👍

Agreed, it’s difficult to focus on all the different hobbies and interests that I have! I enjoy mtb, dirt bike riding, street motorcycling, ice hockey, working out, playing guitar, RC cars, and most recently my DJI M2P! Along with all these hobbies, a family and full time job, I follow forums and RUclips channels to learn more. And then there’s social media, FB, Instagram, etc. It’s overwhelming to say the least, but never a dull moment!

Hey Jeff, very well said. Completely agree. I live in Ireland where rain is commonplace so between the rain and like you say work and family commitments it's tough to balance it all and get time to fly. A few months ago I got a chance to spend 2 days away with friends on a trip. I was so excited to get out and about and dive into the drone flying 24/7 (or as long as my battery allowed!). Great point about the drone requiring your attention and your in the moment completely. Very good for the mental health.

I agree with most of this.
Never lose site of the fact that it’s a hobby. Don’t mix it with work. Be in the moment, while you’re flying or editing or whatever it is you like to do.
I disagree with one thing you said. “Make sure you have a goal”.
Sometimes I fly my drone because I’m working on a specific video or I want to try a certain intelligent flight mode or whatever.
However, sometimes I grab my drone bag and go and launch and explore wherever I am or fly in whatever flight mode I feel like at that moment. I guess I don’t really have that problem of not having time for my hobby. Sometimes I wake up at 4:00 am and head to the beach to record the sunrise or whatever strikes me at that moment.
You have some very good points for sure. Go out and have fun!

Thanks Andrew excellent points! This hobby is so unique in that it has a way of forcing you to explore your outdoor surrounding much more that you would have otherwise.

Hi Design Eagles, great to hear from you! I have been filming quite a bit of non-drone stuff, but have not gotten around to editing. Plan is to change that in the weeks ahead. :)

Looking forward to seeing it! Doing less drone stuff here as well and focusing on shooting video commercials and designing websites for our customers.

Hey Jeff, good to see you back! I’ve been wondering if you’ve dropped out of the video game. I love your content keep going!! Thanks

Hi John, no way man. Its one of the things that i find really easy to immerse myself in. The content will always change, but I need to fight to keep creating and exploring, and not get bogged down in the day to day grind. Thanks buddy!

hi Jeff I enjoy watching your videos. In NC do you need 107 to shoot videos like Raleigh downtown or public parks as a hobby? What are the basic restrictions? thanks man.
