  • Graphene membranes could be used to revolutionise many practical applications. One of these applications could be fuel cells and other hydrogen-based technologies like electric cars and air powered generators.
As well as hydrogen fuel cells, graphene membranes can also be used in the development of water purification and even in pharmaceutical products. This is due to the thin membranes made by graphene oxide being impermeable to all gases and vapours, except for water, making it crucial in the development of water filtration.
Graphene, in conjunction with other things, can help us to make much better membranes for many processes, from water treatments through to gas separations such as carbon dioxide removal.

wrap a 2x4 in graphene and you would have to use 1/2 as many in construction ?

Graphene can do just about anything except leave the lab. After more than 10 years the few commercial applications are far away from the claims of this wonder material and are rather anecdotical. It is becoming the fusion energy, that is wonderful but never comes. it simply becomes cost-prohibitive to do anything in a large production scale.

No. It's also not in the vaccines. Maybe the Chinese vaccine (maybe not), but not the U.S. ones. Even if it was, as It's also in charred meat, most people consume it safely already.

Ever since the fabulous announcement to the world without patent profit. As a Mancunian I've never in All my years been so Disappointed by the Originator's not leading the "WORLD" with the graphene revolution ! I see all the advances being made abroad whilst we sit back and watch as we did with penicillins "production patent" the t.v. Development "Colossus " being developed with the chip industry to develop the home computer / laptops Etc. Again further developed by the u.s. To mention but but a few. Now we see graphene membranes coupled with the Spanish universities in the Battery's for cars and Home market. Salford university, some 30 years ago were supposedly working to embrace industry with its expertise ,So WHAT IN SANITY'S NAME IS THE BIGGEST CAMPUS IN EUROPE. Messing about
With its supposedly up front advantage in this field.
Graphene on its own could be the most LUCRATIVE DEVELOPED MATERIAL IN THE WHOLE OF WORLD HISTORY !
ARE ALL THE UNIVERSITIES IN THE U.K. GONE COMPLETELY MAD.
Or is it just me seeing again a fabulous opportunity being missed ?

Sorry, all of these do sound fantastic but this kind of hype videos and articles never mention one thing: graphene is most likely very cancerogenic. This will probably cut down it's potential enormously.
