Wow, I appreciate this guy even more learning about who he is as a person. The perseverance and passion he has to still come back to football after 4 season-ending injuries is remarkable. Hope he continues to improve behind Brees. Who dat
This is absolutely great. I'm 42 years old and I have been a life-long diehard Chiefs fan since I 12. But, I root for this dude. Exceptional player, and even more exceptional story. REALLY enjoyed this.
Die hard BYU fan. I loved watching Taysom play in college and it was sad to see him get injured, but I followed him to the NFL and love watching him play today. Awesome to see him comeback and have a great NFL career.
Absolute, all-around class act, inside and out. Phenomenal athlete. I'm from eastern Idaho, just a few years older than Taysom, and he was man-child when playing high school football. Then pure excitement to watch at BYU. Overcoming these challenges to play in the NFL...true hero, true inspiration. Keep competing, brother!
Oh my god, I was a student whenever Taysom Hill played Houston home & away. Nothing but respect to Taysom and BYU, hoping this fellow Cougar continues to succeed!
I’m a Utah fan.. but I can honestly say I like this dude a lot.. sad he went through so many injuries makes you wonder what he could’ve been if he would’ve stayed healthy.
Taysom Hill is an example that an opportunity can come from nowhere but it's up to you to take every opportunities with the upmost respect and perseverance to execute your duty
This man is LOVED by football fans. Maybe it's like he's a throwback to junior football where you play multiple positions and I think folks relate to that. He's so immensely talented across the field, a real player. I can imagine him making a vital play that wins the Saints the Superbowl. Come on Saints.
Not sure he could play offensive, defensive line, cornerback, linebacker (maybe linebacker, idk), kicker or punter. But he is still probably the best athlete in football right now, even with his leg injuries. The dude is a freak!
I'm a Rams fan but this dude is one of my favorite players. He's a literal swiss army knife. And I think its dope that he able to play multiple positions and impact the game quite a bit even though his primary position is Quarterback. So sick Edit: After hearing his backstory I'm rooting for him even harder now
Being a Packers fan, watching Taysom Hill put on a show during the preseason had me giddy. Then when we cut him (to try and sneak on the practice squad) I was flabbergasted. He is absolutely exciting to watch. Dude is a gamer. Glad he found a coach who will actually find ways to get him on the field and showcase his unique talents.
Holy shit those injuries are brutal. I've severely sprained the same ankle multiple times when I was younger and now at 38, it bothers me still. Couldn't imagine what his injuries will feel like when he's my age. God speed Taysom. RIP to your bro also.
Taysom's a really good dude! And a Great Player!! He plays with Pure Heart! We're Lucky to have him! Go get this Superbowl for Dexter! WHO DAT!!!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Wow!!!..i hope he becomes the Saints starter after Drew retires but if he moves on I will always be a fan of his after watching his testimony . Can't wait to get his Saints jersey
I know you didn't do it for me, but Taysom, your sacrifices are inspirational to this BYU fan. You are a hero, and I am grateful that football gave you the spotlight that allowed me to gain strength and resolve from your example.
I truly understand his mentality. I was a highschool superstar and a college hopeful and in my senior year I tore my Acl. That was devastating to me. My hopes and possibilities of being an NFL player just blew past me. If only I didn't give up. Who knows what have happened. Great job on never giving up bro! Your an amazing athlete!
This gave me hope I just had a season ending injury almost 2 months ago I tore exactly what he tore, my bicep fermorous ripped off my bone and I tore my lcl. Last year I tore my acl and miniscus. I’m recovering from my second surgery rn. I have a few d3 offers and don’t want to have to quit playing football I’ve been in disbelief but this helped
How do you thumb down a person thst keeps coming back?! Anyway Taysom, Drew, Coach Payton, and the rest of the Saints are the reason Im back watching the NFL . Taysom is such an inspiration to all of us, to keep plowing forward, reguardless, that is heart, that is Faith and Love for his team, Family, Himdlef, and our God,,thanks for all your hard work to get where you are, all these years, thanks for your Latter Day 'Saints' example to members, especially the young members, and to all others...This 2020 season is going to be epic!!! Thanks again
Being from Southern Louisiana, I haven't heard much about Taysom, but I sure do enjoy watching him play for our Saints. He seems like a really great guy off the field as well. The kind of guy you would like to have over for some gumbo, and a cold beer. Good luck Taysom. I'm officially a fan. Keep doing what you're doing.
Man that’s a crazy and amaZing story and shows you can work through hard things and still become great! I mean look he’s playing NFL now! Go Cougs! Go Saints! Go Taysom!
I was sightseeing during 2015 before the Missouri game and Taysom was there. His season had long since ended, but he made the trip and was out visiting local sights with crutches and a boot. I did not approach him personally, but enjoyed watching him interact with the kids. He was respectful and friendly, even though one kid was a complete idiot to him. Taysom is one of my all-time favorites in part because of his results on the field, but also because of the person that he is and they way that I saw him treat others. He's a total class act.
Incredible story! Love his ambition and drive to continue on no matter how many times he met some speed bumps along the way. Now he’s a quadruple threat on the field!
Nothing more I'd rather have than the keys to the Saints be handed to this guy after Brees retires, he has overcome hardship and continued to battle it out, Who Dat brother
I am a 62 year old Packer fan and went up to one preseason training camp in Greenbay the year he had tried out for Greenbay. Are you Kidding me! He stuck out as the number 2 quarterback at that time, even more just his athletic posture. To tell you the truth I think he posed to much intimidation to Rodgers. Congrats to Breeze on how he handles that and supports him as the Saints future. I couldn't believe he didn't get chosen for the number 2 job. Far... far better than Brett Hundley. He showed it in the preseason games too. Packers management really blew that one. What a pickup for the Saints
1:23: I was at that game, it was the best feeling ever so long ago seeing us win and beat Houston, man Taysom Hill is pretty much my inspiration to keep going, how he is after 4 season ending injuries.
its not what happens to you that defines you. its how you respond. This guy knows how to respond. As soon as you understand that, you understand that his peak is way out in front of him.
Taysom will be the starting QB for Saints in future. This guy has had a phenomenal transformation. If Coach Payton don't keep this guy he's going to regret it
What an awesome guy! He is, by far, the greatest all-around athlete EVER! To bounce back from adversity so many times speaks volumes about Taysom. Besides being great athletes, he and Drew Brees also share this trait: they finish strong!
I named my 5 yr old after Taysom... Knew he was special first time I was fortunate to meet him, then to see him play. Role model all the way. Saints have a good one.
Perseverance [ˌpərsəˈvirəns] NOUN persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. i.e. Taysom Hill Thank you for the good memories. WHO DAT?!?!
When NO is NEVER an Option ! Down But NEVER Out! I know why Tay kept getting back up, He had Two Heart Beats , his and the heart of his Brother Dex ! Proud of what you've become! #Dexter7
Just poetic hes a life long Saint in his life. New Orleans and Latter- Day Saint his faith. Just poetic. As Zach Wilsons Uncle Started Jet Blue now hes a Jets QB. Not ground shaking but fun and interesting
I think being injured so much in college, allowed him time to workout his body and make it into the monster he is today. Guy is literally a walking muscle.
That's awesome of you. Seriously. Must of been hard watching him in the playoff game as cheering for both sides... I'm goung to have that when Saints play NY Jets. 2 BYU QBs facing each other lol
He tries his hardest every game and look where he is now. He's playing nfl!!!
Blair Adamson he is the definition of hard work doing whatever it takes to be in the nfl

Watched this after his first start as an NFL QB and he balled out and won big. WHO DAT!
I’m a Utah fan.. but I can honestly say I like this dude a lot.. sad he went through so many injuries makes you wonder what he could’ve been if he would’ve stayed healthy.

He’s always having fun with a smile. Allot of fun to watch, Taysom is a true Role model
Love this guy! That's why he is my starter in my Madden Franchise!
One of the best examples this League has to offer. I can't get enough of this team!
Theres a reason sean Payton loves him. He can literally play any position.
Not sure he could play offensive, defensive line, cornerback, linebacker (maybe linebacker, idk), kicker or punter. But he is still probably the best athlete in football right now, even with his leg injuries. The dude is a freak!
Great video . I had no idea he lost his brother. He has overcome so much adversity. Dam he is inspirational.
This guy is an inspiration, and a VERY crucial part of the Saints' success this season
I'm a Rams fan but this dude is one of my favorite players. He's a literal swiss army knife. And I think its dope that he able to play multiple positions and impact the game quite a bit even though his primary position is Quarterback. So sick

his primary position is football
I saw him play this past weekend and thought he was an absolute beast! So glad I took the time to watch this! 👍🏾
Sean Payton did a great job with Taysom Hill, he's the only backup QB that I always look forward to watching play! Just pure talent.
He shows a lot of work for the saints and I’m happy he’s on my team the New Orleans Saints WHO DAT
He was a beast in college. Too bad his injuries take some time away from him. But it’s good to know that he’s doing alright in the NFL.
He has stayed so strong! and he is truly a child of god. I love this man.
Dude, I love Taysom. Just a dog in every aspect. Saw a bit of his highlights before and boy did the saints get a dog.
Holy shit those injuries are brutal. I've severely sprained the same ankle multiple times when I was younger and now at 38, it bothers me still. Couldn't imagine what his injuries will feel like when he's my age. God speed Taysom. RIP to your bro also.

Taysom Hill's awesomeness and willingness to switch positions is what pissed me off about Tim Tebow being a baby and REFUSING to switch positions
Always a Cowboys fan... Now, i'll be a Tysom and Saints Fan
I think being injured so much in college, allowed him time to workout his body and make it into the monster he is today. Guy is literally a walking muscle.
