This is a great video because not only does it point out the fact that we store way too much online but it shows how easy it is to be a 'fortune teller' these days.
I'm glad this video went viral, I hope people watch it until the end. Good message and great production. For me personally, privacy on the internet does not exist since I have a Dad who is famous and writes (occasionally about me) a well-known blog. I've made peace with the fact that my entire life has been online since 1997.
It sucks that this is a commercial, but the point is a good one. This demonstrates exactly what the NSA has on everyone, which raises the questions everyone on the planet needs to be asking, is THIS REAL NECESSARY to protect us from terrorism or is this in itself a form of terrorism?
I think it’s just displaying how much of people’s lives are willfully and irresponsibly put on social media for the world to see and how we should be more careful.
good thing i don't reveal information for everyone to read. I can't remember the last time iv'e said anything more private than my first name online. I don't use facebook.
+Erodict y You are right, mass surveillance is just a threat today. But have you ever thought what will happen if one day the new US president wakes up and says "well, you know what? let's use this technology to control the public opinion and censore everything is against my policies". Will you be ready to throw away your phone and laptop that day? Let's care about this problem right now instead! Because it is a problem, it is a violation of our freedom that is constantly performed by our gov in name of security and other bullshit.
Not everything. Btw, The government may watch you but they are also being watched. Not by other government, or by aliens, or by other kinds of people. But by Dark and Light Forces beyond our physical senses. I won’t be saying that you have to be careful, no. You just have to be mindful of their existence, that’s all. Knowledge is powerful! PEACE
I think the point is (and it's a good one) that if you post it, it can be accessed and all these people (whether they recalled it or not) posted references, at least, to the info Dave was getting through his earpiece. Message is strong and relevant.
Even crazier is the fact that stuff you don't post, like your bank account info can be intercepted and stuff you don't even upload can be stolen from your local files.
That would make you even easier to track down, as iCloud is supported by multiple servers it'll be harder to track down people that are disgusting enough to have it let alone joke about it. Hard drive's are a hackers best friend it shows them everything there is about you, i for one wouldn't recommend joking about it in the first place, but it is your life, and yours to control, just think before you do it might be the difference between standing strong and standing behind bars.
FelineSeven1 Well, I don't even have a cloud account and IF anyone has a warrant to take a look, they sure can. They won't find anything related to porn at all. However, hard drives are kept on person whereas cloud information is kept on online storage. To hack a hard disk drive would require actual possession of a hard disk drive.
exactly, i never heard somthing more stupid than someone claiming that a public accessible cloud, where everyone cann access data through stolen passwords or security problems can access ALL data. Didnt people learn anything of the icloud hacks and other leaks ? An encrypted drive at home is more secure. No need for child or animal porn. In times of identity theft ,everybody should be more carefully with their private data
+FelineSeven1 Even though clearly this comment was a joke, you do realise how networks work, right? Apple indexes their iCloud servers, and their operating systems and hardware is backdoored for American intelligence agencies. Saying "hard drives are a hackers best friend" means you don't know what you're talking about, aand you clearly don't know what hard drive encryption is. If you encrypt a harddrive partition properly, neither the feds OR hackers can get into. Stop shilling for Apple, they don't have your best interests at heart.
I wouldn't even joke about this kind of thing because even though there may be nothing to it, it can easily raise the suspicions of the likes of the FBI.

@porovaara yes it is possible! Did you see at the beginning he was stalling time and doing some rituals and dances etc ... This clip shows only a few moments... who knows how long it took... but it is indeed very very possible. Just google your best friend or someone you know and see how much information is available.
Did any of the "marks" in this experiment actually hear all that keyboard-tapping and mouse-clicking behind the screen, or were those just sound effects added in post? Otherwise, hearing that racket -- even faintly -- behind a piece of canvas should've tipped just about anybody off.
There is no way he could have had the specific information shown in the time frame the video portrays. Especially as the video shows him asking no pre-questions. That makes this video about as accurate as what it is mocking.
You can use pictures of people (taken with cameras on the street) to search for similar images on the web. If you got a decent algorithm you can find people's facebook or myspace if they got such a profile. In this case they didn't do that though.
One doesn't even need government resources. Just a laptop with a wifi sharing device, name the network something along the lines of "Free Wifi", and bring the setup to a public area for a hour. Once someone connects and uses my network for Internet, anything that he/she is doing or has done on the laptop can be retrieved. Be careful when you connect to free wifi in public, and never ever login to internet banking or purchase with credit card when on such networks

When a brain thinks it produces waves or a frequency. You do not use your ears to hear people's thoughts. You use your mind like a sponge to pick up on a persons waves of thoughts. You can also hear what someone's voice sounds like just from the certain frequency that there waves produce even before you have ever heard them speak. I caution you though I have not gotten perfect at this and its very difficult the shut it on or off at certain times. Very shocking and well represented. Loved HINDI song in the background 😂
yep, that's the whole point, it's a campaign from the Belgian banks to make the public more aware that 'their entire life is online'
I would disagree with the last point. It depends on the length of your password, but if it's a string of thirty alphanumeric characters, it's probably stronger than a password of 8 characters containing a $/?/!/%, and not necessarily harder to memorise.
My question is, how'd they find their profiles?
The point is that if someone made an effort to acquire your info, they could, because it's all out there in cyberspace.
There is another issue there too: be careful what information on you your friends put online. If I have your phone number and home adress, and person C has your mobile number and we both upload our adress books to facebook (becuase that's what facebook asks us to do and hey, we are not critical), then facebook knows your email, home adress, phone number and mobile number without you ever registering.
