Did I mention I really like plowing snow!! We are off to a great start to the riding season! Stay tuned for some This vs That Snow Edition!! lol
ive watched plenty of machines push snow but for some reason watching that 6x6 looks so satisfying
It just works so well! Always love driving that thing
Something about a 6x6
We bought a Bluetti AC-70 for our off grid camping. We live and camp in the NWT and 95 % of our camping spots are off grid . I do enjoy watching the mini deuce and a half plow slow
They are so useful. Thank you. The Defender 6x6 works so well
i cant beleive how well that machine works with that plow on it it just rolls out in front and all without building up snow so high that it bogs the machine up to the point it stops.. man thatclooks so fun i could literally plow all day and night thruout the winter with that setup and be perfecty happy and content of course id need a sound system so i could jam out while plowing, man that would be epic
I like the video and a big bear hug to all of the Canadians from New York City . Great vibe definitely keep us posted and plow that snow just in time for that Artic blast .
🤟🤟🇨🇦🇨🇦🚜🚜
That little plow rolls the snow so nice.
Works so well!
@@ostacruiser Whats the make of the plow? Ive been looking. Did ya have to stiffin the front suspension? Thanks Really enjoy your videos Ostacruiser 's
@c.d.1233 Can am Super Duty. I cranked some preload in the front springs
I have a 6x6 Ranger and I put 10, 40 lb sandbags in the box and it made a huge difference in plowing. Tires rarely spin with the weight in the back.
I’ve plowed snow commercially for the better part of 30 years and I enjoy it for about the first 2-3 times each season. Then I’m sick of it. But I suppose meeting around the yard like you guys do would be more fun. Really cool videos though! Keep up the great work!
You’re happiness, attitude and all around gift for enjoying life is infectious.😎👍
Just got a 2024 Defender 4x4 HD 10 (open cab) with a Boss 6’6” Hydraulic V Plow, it’s a beast. Adding chains but even without them I’ve been impressed with its capabilities. Just plowed an 18” storm in NW Colorado. The 6X6 is pretty sweet! Plowing is the best.
That sounds awesome, congrats on the new rig!
@@ostacruiserthank you!! I’ll have to get some videos up. We will get about 350” this year.
@skyrubin2257 That would be awesome!
@@skyrubin2257put about 500 lb of sand in the back. Our Honda pioneer 1000 could plow 2 feet with weight in it easily. Would go over top before running out of grip
@@loganmartin8613agreed 100% it’s a game changer
Love that video. We need some snow here in Fredericton, NB. Our first snow storm was yesterday … wet heavy snow 🫤.
Need lots of fluffy snow 😊 … and sooner than later ☺️.
I have my polaris sportsman 1000xp all ready to with my 60in plow just need the snow.
I have also been looking g at different battery packs for our camper so I am not running the generator. Just took advantage of the great price and bought the Bluetti AC200L. Thank you for amazing videos and the quick review.
Awesome!!
After seeing how comfy you are doing our last snowfall, I wish I would have opted for the full cab and heater on my hd10
The cab and heater are game changers for sure
I’ll be plowing tomorrow. We are suppose to get 10-15 cm tonight. Lucky I also have the hydronic actuators so I don’t have manually change the blade. Makes my work easier.
Blower on the new tractor soon too? Something equally satisfying about watching a continuous stream of snow flying out the chute.
I’ve never been able to plow my driveway, gets to narrow by the end of winter!
Thank you for the good show,,I feel you might be honest
Out our way we usually pack the base layer of snow before we start plowing. Saves the gravel, grass, and the blade.
I pulled the tractor tores last week. This was way too much snow to pull them this time
@ostacruiser yeah, my heart hurt listening to the gravel on the blade and seeing the grass fly lol
I’m the same way with plowing lol I start with a plan and before you know it , Ive plow alittle more then alittle more til the whole yard is clear lol and I just have a atv with plow and I have plowEd the same event when it was -35 😂 , when you have time to plow temperature don’t matter
Man it's winter in the West.... Ontario still holding on to fall weather.
Do they make tracks for the 6 x 6 Defender? The last time I looked, I don’t think they did. Yep, there’s something about plowing snow so much fun! 😂
the AC200L is legit. Just ran Starlink off of it for 3-12hr days before getting down to 7% charge.
Real decent unit for sure💪💪
I have a 19 defender xmr. And I’m amazed on how it pushes snow. I also live in Sask. Have a bit of land and that’s how I do my yard and 300 foot driveway.
Awesome, they work extremely well for sure
Did you close it in and add the heater system?
😎💪⭐🏆🥶❄️
Please send some to Tejas 😊
Will try Dr. Mark😅😅
Have the same machine, pushes snow so well my blower is getting jelious from lack of use.
The 6x6 is useful all over my property from plowing to hauling firewood or for just taking care of my land.
A great work truck.
Definitely agree. They work so well
Супер. А у нас ещё дождливо и первый снег растаял.
Thst be cool if you could get a side wing on the 6x6
Great video yall 💯 👌😎
Appreciate it brother!
Bring back the beater race! Made me think of it when you were plowing around the fields
We will be doing a winter track this year
@@ostacruiser sweeeeeet!
@@ostacruiserI hope that’s with beater sleds! Especially with used sled prices coming back to earth again.
Like button engaged...
I'll be snowblower soon my winter job 200 plus homes lol lots of seat time
You guys up north got dumped on. Us in Minnesota got a 6in dusting
holdy crap u guy's got quite the snow for the first little bit we got.
Always love the videos……can you make some of the OG gen 1 machine videos available
Heard you guys got the double dump of snow last week. That’s awesome.
Yes, two decent ones to start the season, awesome
Hahaha...the bigger the garage the more stuff...the bigger the yard more plowing 😜
It's a problem we all know too well! lol
How many years ago was it when you were in the beginning stages of build the house when you came home and thought you could take the Cherokee through the snow drift in the driveway and got stuck? Lol
Haha yes in 2020. Stuck as heck!
I love plowing snow also. Get to do it a lot here in Alaska. The snow suites you both are wearing is what I really like. Where did you get them and how much. ?
Finntrail.com
can you do a video on how to pull fault codes on the defender? I can't find anything current on utube. we went out to use the 6x6 its 10 degrees out. we have an exclamation point in the left lower corner. the power steering isn't working , so i am guessing thats the issue. also the 4.5 inch display is flashing. it almost looks like its flashing a code flash flash pause flash flash flash. we warmed up the machine in the garage and now everything is fine. you must have had some issues like this in canada. thx great video!!
Tells us about your suit and will you change it up when your out in the open plowing ?
I just spent 5.5 days cleaning up this snow. I'm over it.
haha, dang lol, We used to take care of 17 properties when we lived at the lake, I know exactly what you mean lol
Cool I was wondering what happen to the jackery you used at the moose hunt few years ago is this one better
They both perform awesome, who ever is running the better deal at the time of purchase
Man you guys got dumped on....we are shut out here in our part of Alberta ...while people tobthe went of us have 3 feet
Could u mount some larger solar panels on top of ur enclosed trailer to charge the power banks faster
Only tracks I might be worried about are Sasquatch tracks lol
😅😅
I live in Sweden and i to love plowing snow whit my Outlander 1000 XT-P!!! But i have one question, are you going to swap the 700 for the new Outlander 1000 XMR?
Lol ! great intro lol
😅😅😅
Let it snow
Can't believe how late you guys got snow .
We had some a bit earlier but this was a good amount. Hopefully a few more feet come soon
@@ostacruiser We had close to 16 inches in the last 24 hrs here in Alaska .
@toddsmith2349 Awesome!!
Have you tried the tilting seat? Liked the defender but the seat was just too upright
1:14 DAMNIT DAVE!
Is that a 25 with the factory locker? Or is that the old limited grip visco?
24 and yes standard visco qe
im in saskatoon and would love to buy that ac180 off of you for the right price if you wanted to get rid of it!
Works great, but could use some weight over the back axles
I used to love plowing so much so I traded in my pro street ford I built from scratch for a 1977 Dodge D100 military 4X4 that had a fisher 8' hydraulic plow and I would plow everyone for free.
That sounds pretty freaking awesome!
👌
who uses the climbing frames?
Why not get a plow for skid steer so u can more efficiently clear the larger areas with a larger plow
Where do you live? Canada????!?!?!
North Central Saskatchewan
Neighbors is always in shop says it’s junk front end
Do you know how well the 4x4's work compared to the 6x6?
They work very well also
@ostacruiser Thanks. Nice setup. 👍🏻
Ibthink im houngbto sell my commander for a defender...my brother has a polaris 6x6 but i hate it
Why not get a boss utv v plow? Just wondering
The blade he has can push a pile somewhere as well as just clearing a path.
@ understandable just felt like maybe the v might be better not sure
how about a wind turbine to recharge
I would love to try that
😄👍🌹
At one time you were promoting the Jackery and now the Bluetti? This is confusing.
I have used both and bot do a great job, don't hesitate to consider either brand. I look for the best sale at the time of purchase
the content, the production, the actors... have NO RIVAL anywhere on RUclips or Hollywood.
haha, thank you
Do you put any weight in the ass end of that ??
Nothing right now, when the snow is wet and heavy we do run a few hundred pounds of weight, helps a ton
@ostacruiser gotcha makes sense
I love plowing also
What's that stuff? We run out of milk and bread when I see it.
