714 Guitars yes I do. 👌 honestly the neck took a little getting used to, but after playing it for a while, I fell more in love. I like what you did with the jack plate. I’m like you in that sense, I want things to last as well. Where did you get your metal jack plate? Did you have to drill out new holes? Cheers!
Joshua Capati same, it’s definitely grown on me too. Yeah man, those plastic ones crack and fall off after a decade or so if you’re a rough jabroni like me. The metal one is just an AllParts I got from a big box store, like $6-$7. I did have to toothpick the old holes and drill new.. but it was worth it to me.. was expecting backlash for that one haha
714 Guitars Thanks for letting me know! I get what you mean about the backlash Haha. It’s typical of me to modify my guitars. The ol’ toothpick trick works like a charm.
Joshua Capati same! I develop a real connection with these intimate tools that are guitars and personal mods have just become a part of it for me 🤷♂️ I like your style, Capati!
I prefer the feel of Gibsons nitro finish but simultaneously believe poly is superior for many reasons. Currently I have approximately 58 guitars and about 20-ish are nitro finished. They feel less plastic-like over all. The downfall is the nitro stains really quick and easy with simplest of touches so it wears quick! My poly finish guitars can be wiped down to look new every single time where the nitros need actual buffing.
Thanks man, it’s such a beast. That’s a 2017 Fender ‘59 p’up I put in the neck on a toggle, sounds awesome on the 500k pot. Thin shell pink nitro on heavy ash and a smoked 2002 MIM neck that I got from a guy who played the poly off of it! Refretted with jumbos, a brass nut & ALL CALLAHAM! Her name is New Jersey, that episode is coming very soon!
714 Guitars awesome!!!! Your channel is making me want to upload more haha. I dig your video editing style and sense of humor. Looking forward to more videos. Went ahead and subscribed. 🤙
Joshua Capati thanks a lot! It’s all inspired by the great Lloyd Kaufman, his instructional books and videos for making schlocky, low budget film are so much fun! Likewise, I’ve subscribed to yours and am excited to join the conversation! 😎🎸
PinetopJackson Thanks! We are filming the episodes for the American Vintage series right now. I am particularly excited to show people how those have aged! I bout them all new in April/May 2015, so they just hit birthday #5! 🎂 Thanks for watching 💚
Sweetwater just updated today in stock.just ordered mine 5 minutes ago.get em while theyre hot.only drawback is sweetwater is currently not doing their 55 point inspections and photos right now.so its gonna be hit or miss on the horribly setup ones.especially with the epiphones.
@@realjabroni this will be my 1st lp style guitar ever.played strats and tele's for 20 years.im just hoping i can stand the bulkyness and weight of it.is it more difficult to intonate a tunomatic then fender saddles?
Congrats! I’m kind of in the same boat.. that guitar with a broken headstock in the video is my very first guitar... I broke it after about 6 months and have played Fender ever since. This was my “return” to Les Paul because it’s such a special one. Intonation on a lp is no harder to do than a Fender, lots of opinions out there but I think if someone can afford one, it’s a great tool to have.. just watch that headstock!
@@realjabroni ya hear alot about these headstocks .especially without a valute or scarf joint.its mostly just going to be up on the string tree or on a stand in the studio/office.so hopefully it takes no tumbles.good thing about this one is its poly finish so i dont have to worry about nitro burn from the hanger or stand.thanks for the replies.
wish they would have put burstbuckers in this Norm Burst guitar, probuckers are decent but burstbuckers are better sounding thanks epiphone for putting out vintage re issue guitars....... i just got a Lazarus
Awesome Guitar 😎⚡🤘
Just ordered one of these. Looking forward to receiving it. Thanks for the demonstration.
Thanks! If you like a nice Les Paul, I think you’re gonna love it.
What’s up Jabroni!! Just bought one myself! Sounds sweet. Thanks for posting!!
Joshua Capati thanks for watching! Do you already have it?!

Nice video, do you know the weight of the guitar.
Thanks! This one is 9.9lbs.
@@realjabroni thank, that about the same weight as my new 1959 epiphone les paul
Nice collection... you've got material for quite a few videos!
