My wife also called me to come home as there was a live one in the house…I near had a heart attack laughing cause it climbed the curtains and it was then my wife first learned that rats can climb😂 fastest I have ever seen my wife move in the last 28yrs 😂😂
Can’t wait to hear about your birth and postpartum prep. Honestly postpartum needs to be normalised and talked about more! Everyone prepares for birth as the finish line but really that’s the easy bit. Thank you for sharing the bits that you do. Your fam is the best xxx
I am fascinated by this too. My children are grown and I am astounded by how Kara, Tia , Annie can rehabilitate their pelvic floors and how they fit in breastfeeding and the subsequent interrupted sleep. I know my babies fed all day and night at times. No information is given about these things and I know women who admire the athletes could do with the help to apply to their own lives.
It’s not so much the physical bounce back to athlete status that interests me as I feel like that tends to put an unrealistic expectation in a lot of peoples’ minds for other ‘normal’ women. If that happens for you Kara as a result of all the training and prep you’re doing for your body this time round I’m totally cheering for you though. But I think postpartum should have greater emphasis on slowing down, nourishing and loving on your baby, at least for the fourth trimester period. Staying in bed, eating alll the warm foods, snuggling with your little boy. You’ve hinted at this in this video Kara and I’m excited for you to get that special time for your self to recover and to get to know your little man ❤️ this looks different for everyone I know, I’m excited for you no matter how you navigate the next chapter. I’ve enjoyed hearing the bits about how you’ve adapted your training during your pregnancy and been really realistic about that. There’s no shame in doing what’s safe and right for you and your baby! ❤️
I was in similar shoes when I was about three weeks to give birth. We rented and a shrew tunneled into our apartment. My best friend was laughing it up because I usually don't freak out. So yes I'm on Kara's side on this one. My husband had to come home and rescue me. Also I totally relate to your feelings towards rats!!
Kara is right! I wouldnt have even been able to be around whatever animal brought that thing into my house. My dogs would have been playing with it and I would have absolutely died a little inside seeing a rat in my house! Hahaha Kara is spot on!! Hahaha I feel it just watching this vlog... hahaha... eeeek!!
Hahah my aunt lives in Miami, and my sister and I were visiting. This is about 30 years ago, but my sister and I thought there was a small cat in her garage. It was not a cat. A young man was walking by and heard our screams, he came into the garage and rolled this monster rat all the way down the road to the sewer grate, and shoved it in. My aunt gave him 20 bucks.
I literally moved. That's right. I saw a mouse. Immediately moved out to my sister's. Got "brave", set traps. Now, I couldn't actually empty them but three were caught. I never slept or went back again until packers and movers came. I left all soft and cushioned furniture except my brand new bed. Scotty completely submerged and hidden in her blankets...cutest thing ever.
I'm sorry Matt, but Kara is right. If it had happened to me, I would have just burned the house down. 😂
Thank you😂😂😂😂😂
You always have been and always will be my absolute favorite person and athlete!! You do you momma!!!
That is legit my worst nightmare!! I feel all your feels Kara 😂
Thank you 😂
