    What a great break down! How are the OsoCosy covers holding up?

      They're great! Still a big favorite of mine, I love it for covering a folded on flat or putting over a more bulky nighttime set up. They're awesome. 👍

    I got these Osocozy prefolds for my 3 month old, and I have washed them about 5 times to prep them. I tried an absorbency test with one today, but I noticed it was slow to absorb, and didn’t quite hold 10 ounces of water. I’m not sure what to do, and I’m 🤏close to returning them to Amazon lol! I’m not sure what kinds of trouble shooting to try, but I’m hoping to make them work. I’m glad to see that you like them! Maybe they just need more washes or something.

      I would try washing them a couple more times. I hope that helps!

      So I soaked them in the washer in hot water with tide for about 30 minutes and did a heavy wash. Then I dried on high heat. Now they are much better! So if anybody shopping for prefolds is reading, just ignore my comment about returning them lol 😅

      @@mekenapeabody9851 I wonder if this is why Norah’s nursery diapers leaked at first. I only washed them once 😂 I didn’t know you had to prep them.

    I have 33 pockets diapers and 11 inserts i also bought a fleece blanket to make more is that good ? Or should i get more

    • @lainaslife6351
      @lainaslife6351  3 года назад

      A fleece blanket won't work for inserts. You could use it for liners but you might not need stay dry liners if you're using all pockets. You'd need enough inserts for the 33 pockets and that would be a great size stash. I'd recommend natural fiber inserts like cotton, bamboo, or hemp.

    Which size do you mean by "medium" for the osocozy prefolds? I've only seen the "infant," "premium," and "toddler" sizes..
    Also, do you like the "clotheez" or "osocozy" prefolds?

    • @mariocartel544
      @mariocartel544 9 месяцев назад +1

      I assume she means premium as that tends to be the longest fitting size. I've used both brands on two kids and think osocozy is better for thinner babies and gmd are wider if you have a chunkier baby. I also think osocozy are thicker(more absorbant) but I bought mine as seconds(means imperfect not used) and I know for sure the layers from the middle overlapped the edges in some so they might have accidently had more layers. But, I used the infant better fit osocozy on my preemie from 4lbs and if I had to do it again I would go with the gmd for the newborn stage knowing they are thinner because it was hard to manage a huge thick prefold on such a small baby and she fit them for a solid 5 months, I ended up cutting many of them down to just use as inserts to fit her better but didnt even mind because i got them so cheap(order from clothdiaper.com not amazon etc). Both are very good brands though.

    I'm just wondering your final thoughts on the esembly size 2 diapers. They look so much more comfortable for baby, but I've heard the fit is just odd on the size two. I'm wondering how they would do with prefolds or flats wrapped around baby underneath.

    • @lainaslife6351
      @lainaslife6351  Год назад +1

      I do think the fit on the size 2 is weird. If you are wrapping the diaper around kiddo underneath, it will still serve okay as a cover. It's roomy. If you already have them, they'll work, but I wouldn't recommend buying them if you're still on the search.

    What do you recommend for stay dry diaper liners? I have some homemade fleece liners but I need more than 12… I want to mainly use these at night and nap time with my prefolds and covers. Do you use liners? What type of stay dry liner would you recommend?

    • @lainaslife6351
      @lainaslife6351  2 года назад +1

      I had a thin fleece baby blanket I cut into rectangles for liners. Super affordable. Don't fray. 👍
