I think you’re going to love the Diaper Rite and Blueberry AIOs and want more! They were my favorite two because they fit bigger and absorbency lasted much longer than Thirsties NAIO.
Thank you for reviewing Cloth-eez. I can't recall the research & decision-making process which led me to go all-in with them, but I recall you raving about their buttery soft covers in a different video 💚💙💜 so thanks again because workhorses, prefolds, & covers from Cloth-eez have been perfect for us along with my homemade black fleece 'stay-dry' liners. My only complaint might as well be filed in the vertical receptacle: I didn't get to use my newborn size diapers for very long because my full-term little guy had to be in the NICU for a month because of my gestational diabetes ... but that's just fate.
I'll be 35 weeks pregnant with baby #3 on Monday and being induced at 37 weeks! This is our 3rd in cloth, but 1st from birth. 💕 Our other kiddos were 3 months old and 14 months old when we jumped into cloth full-time. I think I really need to invest in some NB AiOs! We have a variety Nb stash currently (hybrids, Ai2s, flats, preflats/eflats, and PUL, fleece and wool covers), but need some easier options for my husband and mom. I'm having outpatient surgery about 2 weeks postpartum and want baby to stay in cloth!
I love all your videos! But man, i'm having the HARDEST time finding an updated stash recommendation from anyone! I'm making my registry now and am just trying to figure out what all I should put on there to get from newborn to 1. It's crazy how hard it is to find!! Too many options! If you have any recommendations for a complete (maybe minimalist) stash please let me know!
I wasnt too crazy about the Blueberry simplex newborn aio-all-in-ones. The elelastics were leaving horrible red marks on my son's thighs. I did love them in the one size version later on, though. But these things are hard to predict. Hopefully they fit your baby better!
I use the premie prefolds on myself on light days. You could even use that orange edge prefold you weren’t sure what to do with on yourself! Those newborn boosters look like they could be use as panty liners.lol since I didn’t have anymore babies thought how can I reuse these prefolds? Use them for mama cloth!!
I know I answered you on Instagram, but for anyone else wondering: Yes, the size 1 Esembly cover and size newborn or small GMD cloth-eez workhorse is a wonderful combo. 👍 I love the Esembly size 1 cover (not so much the inner).
What kind of snaps did you buy for the best bottoms covers? I want to make some but the stuff I have that snaps (grovia aio) won't snap into best bottoms
I bought a ton of newborn prefolds before finding out about explosive newborn poop 🤦🏻♀️💩 lol FTM here! so now I’m worried if I should get some half flats or workhorses. Workhorses seem nice and easy to do in the middle of sleepless nights! Do regular size flats work on newborns? Also, any clue on how long newborn prefolds could work…will I definitely need to buy bigger prefolds when baby is bigger? It’s such a pain trying to have two stashes (newborn and one-size)…I wish everything was one size lol. What’s your recommendations on boosters. I have absolutely no boosters. Do I need both newborn and one size?
Workhorses are super nice, honestly. But they'll get pricey if you're going to get a bunch. I am loving them for the newborn and I also love them paired with hemp boosters for overnight as the babies grow. The one size birdseye have worked on my babies as newborns. Newborn prefolds might last you like 2-3 months, you're definitely going to need bigger after that if you plan on wrapping them around baby. Even pad-folding, I don't think they'll be big enough on a toddler. Newborn boosters have been nice in some of our AIOs, but if you're going with flats, prefolds, and workhorses, I don't think you'd need any newborn size boosters. As far as one size boosters, it just depends what kind of system you settle on and if your kiddo is a heavy wetter. Hope this helps. ❤
@@lainaslife6351 yes, that helps lots! I was originally planning on just pad folding prefolds but had no idea about newborn poop getting all over lol. So I’m thinking of wrapping them around for the newborn stage and hopefully pad fold later on. It’s funny that the first kid is such trial and error on everything in life 🤷🏻♀️😅🤣
They are both spot-on in length at 9.5 in. The hemp are 4 in wide and the boosters are 3.75. They both fit perfectly inside a Thirsties natural newborn AIO. I honestly haven't even used the hemp so far this time (baby is 2.5 wks old) because I love the boosters so much!
@@lainaslife6351 thanks! I’ve been curious what could possibly fit in a newborn Alva baby diaper. But there are so many other awesome choices it may not be even worth it to try
Did you think the thirsties size 1 covers were a tad bit bigger than the other newborn covers? I’m Asian so my babies are relatively smaller and I have most of those in newborn covers - wondering if they will fit from birth or not. Due in September for a baby girl and happily preparing :)
They're a little bigger, yes. The legs are a good fit. The waist has been prefect on our new baby, he was 7 lb 7 oz at birth. It can cover the belly button though, so it might be an issue for the umbilical stump. Personally, I think the cover is flexible enough to not cause an issue with the belly button, even though it does cover it, but I know some people prefer to not have any diapers that come too close to it.
The ones with snaps didn't fit our 6 lbs 7 oz baby right away, the ones with velcro did. After a few weeks, they were our favorites and fit perfectly! Our favorite covers from birth were the Rumparooz newborn covers that fit much smaller.
So exciting! You've got a ton of doublers and fitteds for this baby for his newborn days! How many are you going through per day now since I'm assuming you don't have to worry about saving diapers and I hear that newborns poop at pretty much every single diaper change? Still no baby for me... 37w4d and I'm struggling!!
Yes, there's a ton of pooping 😄 but at least right now they're mostly small. The first few days home he was going through at least 14 diapers a day. Now at 2.5 wks old I think it's about 12.
this pink color is perfect for you. looks great
Aww thanks 😊

Thanks ❤❤❤
I don’t even know if I’m gonna have a baby #4 but I literally sat here and watched the whole video! Lol!
Thanks for watching ❤❤❤
Same Here, yet I have diapers and NB clothes ready 😅

I LOVE your makeup in this video, your so pretty!!

I can't wait to try Esembly diapers too!

Excited about the Noble bebe stretchy Flats review and if you use them with an insert or booster, which works the best? Can't wait 🤗
Yayyy please make a review on n noble bebe preflats

Love your cloth diapers reviews, I’m learning a lot thank you!! Have you tried using the new born green mountain workhorse with the Esembly covers?

Kam snaps size 20. They're the most common. They fit buttons, bebeboo, best bottom, and a lot more.
