Hi, that's a great question. If you are asking the handrail of the stairs, you have to press 'E' for extrusion and then press 'ESC' to cancel that extrusion. With these two steps, you have separated the handrail from the main pyramid geometry. At this point, you can simply make any transformations without affecting other part of the geometry. If you are asking the stairs itself, I just subdivided the face and extrude it out. You can also try to use the array modifier which can make the process easier.
Hey I’m very confused how you do the thing at 2:01 the loop cut I make is straight when there is 1 but the second loop cut is angled and when I move, it follows the angle. They’re not parallel. I’m confused after reading ur answer, please help
hi, this was a really nice video but I couldn't finish because I'm a beginner and there was no way of knowing which buttons you were pressing most of the time😅😅. i stopped at 2:35 because I just couldn't figure out how your loop cuts enabled you to select the top face only without any side face. I'm sorry to ask but if you could please display the buttons you press on the screen, that would be helpful!
Thank you for the nice question! After using loop cut, you can press Option key to choose the whole loop, then double click G key to move the whole edge slide move along the the stair direction. In that case, even the stairs are not straight, you can make sure the movement is along each stair edge.
How you slide the stairs part?
