  • Ok, lots of people misunderstood what I said before about using up cores and not crafting legendaries to scrap. So here's some advice for each type of player, hopefully it'll clear up some confusion.

    I would rather Bethesda fix all the fun sucking bugs in the game. A few of my friends left 76 recently due to the constant crashes on ps5. I believe Bethesda have their priorities wrong . Putting up fancy curtains and solar panels on a house when there are issues with the foundations is what Bethesda are doing .

      @@ryanhorak7493not even, I play with a group mixed between series, X and one it crashes so often that it shapes the way that we play the game we do not interact the certain aspects anymore whatsoever

    Breaking this video down into the requirements of different groups is smart. This is about the only video I've seen that's looked at the perspective of several different groups where most other creators I've seen tend to only look at things from their own perspective. I've felt the same with your previous video too but this has since corrected that view.

    The new system is a scam tbh. We went from being able to roll a legendary for 4 modules, which would cost us 200 Scrip, to a system where we need 15 modules, which are worth 1500 scrip now with the price hike to 100 per Module.... That's a 1300 Scrip increase per roll. Gets even worse for secret service armor , arguably the most desirable endgame armor set. It would cost you only a single Legendary Module per roll AND you could sell that roll back for usally 24 scrip back, leaving the effective cost for most rolls at 26-32 scrip depending on RNG on getting a 1-2-3 star... AND you can't reroll the same armor over, meaning you get to waste ressources for every craft. Now it'll cost you the full 1500 scrip per roll, making it nearly impossible to get a good roll. Then there's the fact when you actually dismantle legendaries , you only get 4 scrip, instead of getting like 45 scrip when using the scrip machine... Making it nearly impossible to accumulate scrip when you try to unlock the mods.. Which leads me to the scam that is mod unlocking... You can litterally dismantle thousands if not tens of thousands of items and not get all the mods and permanent unlocks.... And each time you are throwing perfectly adequate rolls away and turning them into 4 scrip... Insulting. And if you ever get the permanent unlock for a specific mod, you still need to pay like 15/45/90 Modules to make the mod AND find crap like three of a specific bobblehead, making it a huge tedious pain to make said modules even in you get the stupid permanent unlock module.... And as a final insult to injury to us vets, they are deleting all our hard earned cores and turning them into a minuscule amount of scrip that will barely cover the costs to buy like 15 modules for a single craft.... Most streamers and youtubers are delusional about the whole system, ignoring the fact they will need to dismantle thousands of items and get almost nothing in return till they finally get to enjoy the new crafting system... AND all the weapons you craft that way becomes non tradable , another hue drawback. They made litterally every single part of the system worse with the only good thing being the empty promise that some day these people will gamble all the mod unlocks and be able to craft what the want...

    That is why it's always best to make it a suggestion and not say you must do it this way or you're doing it wrong. As when you say those two, you're making a statement of your way is the only way and best way and in this case their is no clear right or wrong way. Make it a suggestion not so much you must do this type headline.
    This approach is much better, as it goes more in depth of why it may be and covers a more broad group and not mostly focusing on the best way etc.

    I have a raft of weapons that are 1* away from a Groll. I also have 2 Alts with 1200 pounds each of 3* weapons and armor. This must be about 300 pieces to scrap. Next comes the marathon scrapping session. I’ll be very interested in seeing how many legendary mods / plans I end up with. Once Eviction Notice is nerfed to give much fewer legendaries, collecting huge numbers of legendaries to scrap will be the new grind.

    I have every single heavy weapon possible except 2 that I don’t care about with AA/25ffr/15fr rolls. Not saying this because I’m rich I’m more or less saying this as everything I’m going to be doing is armor related and I appreciate you explaining this. Seems like I have some prep to go take care of

    There have been so many content creators(not just you) making guides for every scenario, but not specifying the circumstances and I'm seeing tons of people arguing one over the other when the best options vary per character.
    A lot of content creators seem to forget that most people don't have 5000 cores saved up. Most of us only do a couple events per day at best and don't have a lot of extra cores.

    (edit: I am talking about keeping for scrapping after the update) the third star will be the most important. save anything with a third star you want. this "two good stars" advice ignores how plentyful the first start is vs the third star. you can only get a third star on three star gear.

      Third stars are important, but with the chances to get 1 or 2 good stars it's better to focus on any good star, not just the third.

    During an event a guy was running around asking people for trades.
    He had the balls to request my god roll Gatling gun I was using. It’s a quad, explosive with DR while aiming.
    Quite a few people have been running around in events asking for trades.

      Plus I’m not a bloodied build or junkies or anything so quad lets me shoot forever.

      @@Dinosaurman34 Gattling has a capacity of 250 I believe without the larger mag, most people would want bloody/ AA/ Aristocrats. While DR while aiming is arguably the best for non-vats builds, none of the third stars are exciting for non-vats. The only star most people would care about is the explosive; I wouldn't get taken aback if someone wanted to trade for the "godroll."

    Thanks again for the insight.
    I feel I'm in that intermediate player base without GRs (hell, I've only ever rolled like two quad weapons and neither of them are railways.) My plan aligned with yours - focus on secret service / weapon rolls + stack anything i could want to keep for sharding. Outside of railways my character is in a good spot.. 🤜🤛

    I am group of 5,2,4 and my tip is eviction notice is not being nerfed so no worry's about not getting mods

      Yeah, eviction notice if anything is getting buffed to make sure all enemies drop 3 star legendaries.

    After seeing this video I am now going to continue as I have always done, just play the game.
    I got a funny feeling when I hop on the 3rd after the update I am going to be seeing a lot of players in their camps doing nothing but crafting and scraping.
    I almost want to just sit back and watch every one doing exactly what Bethesda wants them to do, grind, get frustrated, groan, moan, and repeat because they didn't learn a plan or get a mod pack.
    Personally I am just going to play and just casually do what I do and that is get script, buy modules, and scrap the legendaries that I don't want. If I get a mod pack or learn a plan great, but I am not taking my game time and wasting it on possibilities that are so low.

      Yeah, thats' wise. Trying to get plans on day 1 will be a frustrating affair. Even if you save hundreds of legendaries the chances are you'll only get a few plans.

    What about the people that can see how this legendary system accelerates 76 to EOL? Seriously. We've all been here long enough to understand the legendary mods will be duplicated and for sale both in and out of game at launch. Within 2 months everyone has they rolls they were previously playing the game to get. Now all they're faced with is the bugs the problems and the lack of content. If Bethesda doesn't have a plan to bring ESO levels of content to 76 this update will mark the start of the end.

    Just gonna go craft a bunch of SS armor tomorrow before the update. I have a full set of Uny SS, but the right arm and left arm still only 2⭐️, so hopefully will get a 3⭐️. With the new systems I can now just grind for that WWR90. 😅 or maybe get 3⭐️with WWR90 and just grind for the Uny.
    Dont really care about the weapon, even a non legendary fixer/handmade is already good in vats. Also a lot of named weapons that are good without the need to reroll, like Nuka-Launcher, V63-weapons, Elders Mark, etc. So yeah focus on the armor is much better tbh.

    I think I'm in the second group but for a different reason. I'm not new but I usually only play a short time daily to do daily challenges and and clear out the daily limits for caps and scrip, so no time for a lot of public events. Therefore I have a lot of modules but only very few cores. I plan to use the majority of the modules on secret service armor while crafting them is still cheap and use my cores to roll some crafting projects. In addition I'm grinding expeditions, keep everything good and throw the remaining legendaries into the scrip machine to get more modules.

    "Saying Modules will be more expensive" is kind of misleading, because while buying them is more expensive, well be getting them from events now.

      @@SequentialGamerFallout Yes but if we're getting modules from events, it's still much better. On top of them being junk AND being lighter.
      I could go on, but I've said my peace, this new system is leaps and bounds better than the old one. If losing the ability to endlessly reroll the same weapon hundreds of times is the cost of eventuality, then I open that cost with open arms.

    With regards to making SS armour just to scrap for legendry perks, I have another option…
    SS armour takes 1 x module (50 scrip) for an average of 2 stars (a scrip to star ratio of 25/1), The Purveyor sells 3 stars armour for 60 scrip (a scrip to star ratio of 20/1). Transfer that to 3 star SS and you have to spend 3 x modules (150 scrip) to guarantee getting one, that’s 2.5 x more than just buying directly from the Purveyor
    Unless of course you’re after SS armour specifically, in which case, carry on and ignore this

      Yes, that's was exactly my point in the "PSA - Do not Craft to Scrap" video. If all you want to do is scrap, then buying a guaranteed 3 star armor is better. The only downside is that you get random armor but if you're going to scrap then who cares?
      SS should only be crafted if you want to try and get pieces to keep.

    Great video. It makes sense to craft Legendaries you may want before the update to save on modules. However, what's confusing that you keep saying, is that after you craft a legendary, you say, "apply the "modules". After it's crafted, you aren't applying "modules", you're applying boxed "mods" essentially. Mods are completely different than modules. If you notice when you scroll though the "mods" it says it takes Scrip, not "modules" to apply the "mods" to the weapons/armor. In other words, mods and modules are not the same thing. It's confusing and everyone needs to be careful how they say it. For awhile I was thinking it took "modules" to assign "mods" to weapons/armor. But it doesn't. That's another reason I'm confused why people keep saying use up your Cores before the update. If Cores will become scrip, and it takes scrip to apply "mods" to weapons, why would you get rid of Cores? You will want more scrip, not modules. After the update, modules seem to only apply if you want to craft a new legendary weapon. Won't most people be changing already existing legendaries and needing scrip instead of modules? You should be hording cores to get more scrip? No?

    If you are going to roll 3 stars to keep, check the first couple of rolls as it can give you an indication of what the majority of subsequent rolls will be. So if you don't want 'race based' rolls on the 1 star and the first roll is race based, I'd recommend hopping servers and trying again. Then RNG is somewhat skewed and you'll find it weighted to a particular roll type whether that be a race type, FFR when you roll (or reroll a weapon.) Generally I'll make up to 4 weapons at a time with the super duper perk enabled as sometimes I'll end up with an 'extra' weapon for free, then start rolling. If I don't like the initial output I hop servers to see if I get better rolls. Staying on the same server and re-rolling later doesn't seem to change the 'pre-determination' that occurs.
    I've got a pile of Fixers, RR and other weapons - some of which are god rolls, others have really good 3 stars but one star might not suit my playstyle - I run full health so Bloodied are ones I sell when I have enough stash space. I have 4 mule characters, all of whom have weapons stashed on them as well as plans, chems, food, nuka cola etc but most of their stash weight is from legendaries I've held on for resale. I have some that would be trade only but I don't need anything that I would want to trade for so I'll occasionally run my caps right down to sell those.
    I've got the weapons I want, the SS armor I prefer and I have a spare set of OE SS that aren't quite what I want in my stash that I will end up modding once the new update comes along. I'm near max cores, a few hundred modules and stash space is near maxed out so it's a balancing act given my mules are near absolute max weight. So I'm planning to offload legendaries in my vendor once the update comes through.

    You can slowly work to the "perfect" rolls. Also the drops are stil random. The uldate gona be perfect for every one

    On 2 of my characters, I managed to craft some stuff and get my Cores down to Zero.
    However, I have one character that has around 865 Cores, but ZERO Modules. If I cash in all of my remaining Tickets from the Scoreboard, the most I can get is 232 Modules. And If I run 8 Expeditions per day for a week on top of that, I will likely only get around 84 more.
    Thats 316 total, which leaves me 549 short. The thing that sucks about the conversion is, that’s only going to be the equivalent of 5.5 Modules after the cost goes up. Which makes the compensation for our Cores seem worse, now that it’s broken down.

      Yeah, the conversion rate for cores to scrip is bad. But if you can't spend them all then don't worry too much, if you can't spend them then you can't spend them. It's not the end of the world.

    So basically if you want to have these list of "legendary star module" effects or plans (idk what's the name), is to create a cheap 3 star weapons as much as you want, then scrap it later after the updates?

      Hi, if you mean unique named legendaries that you can craft then those will be good to scrap after the update. If that's what you want then make legendary modules now because the cost will increase after the update.
      For random legendaries, don't create them for scrapping. Create legendaries on items you want to keep, e.g. secret service armor.

    I'm ok with the new system . I'm just focused on tradeable items ....I believe it will at least equally preferred. Maybe not at first but over time maybe.

    I have 700 modules so far. I thought about mass crafting ss armor but unsure.

      If you still don't have a great SS armor set, i.e. at least two good properties on each piece. Then now is the time to get them. Same with power armor.
      Otherwise get weapons you don't have good versiosn of. Or save modules to craft & scrap named legendaries.

      You have to get different versions and craft them. My jetpack is the "Daring" from an old scoreboard.

    Can you still reroll or change the legendary effects of fixers / elder marks / holy fires etc after the next update. If not, are you stuck with any rolls you have on those or will those revert to the standard properties they drop with

      Re-rolling will not exist. The only way to change the stars on a legendary is to use star modules. But the reason I'm saying to roll 3 stars on the items you want to keep is that it'll cost that much more in the new system.
      Ideally you want to re-roll before the update to get 2 good stars, but that depends on whether you have the cores & modules to do that.

      Thank you very much for the response and the informative video. I had heard somewhere that the named weapons like holy fire and the fixer might not be able to be modified after the update, but it sounds like you may still be able to mod them
      with box mods.

    im only upset that the 1:1 exchange when it comes to core cuz i have 600 n only getting 600 script is BS. if it was 2:1 and instead of script it was modules would be better imo. :(

      Yeah, named legendaries that you can craft and random legendaries from the scrip vendor cost the same in the PTS.

    Will the cost of legendary crafting for named legendaries such as Unstoppable Monster or Medical Malpractice go up after the update? Or will they come with zero stars like for Secret Service Armor?

      The PTS isn't showing everything but what's there shows the same cost in modules.

    I m try to roll anything I mote want before system I hope I'm wrong but this new system look like more rng and more grind then before I do like scrap Legos I hate dropping them

      The new system will be good for veterans because they should have a lot of good legendaries that can be turned into god-rolls. But for new players it'll be pretty grindy to get a god-roll.

    The chances to learn a legendary recipe isn't at all as difficult as rolling a god roll ... It's said to be 1 %. On the PTS I learned two plans from scrapping 100 items. And when people roll for getting two good legendary effects, they should go for the 2nd and 3rd star, since they would be the most expensive to craft. And having only the desired 3rd star (would cost 60 modules to craft) beats having the desired 1st and 2nd star (would cost 15 + 30 = 45 modules to craft) ...

      You have to take into account that the rolls are random. So to learn the unyielding property, you need 1% divided by 20 first stars. Unless you're crafting those unique named legendaries it's god-roll levels of scarcity.
      The crafting and attaching of star modules will be nothing compared to the grind of trying to learn the plans.
