PSA for new players, temporary buffs are more hassle than they're worth. Weight reduction is far more important than high carry capacity. You shouldn't be struggling beyond 400 carry weight. If so, you are carrying way too much crap you dont need, or your build needs reworking
I'd say even more important: just carry less things. I have dripped all the weight reduction cards from all of my builds. I am not struggling. I am not running out of ammo or stims at any point. I can still pick up 50-100 pounds of stuff before I become over encumbered. People think they need to carry way more than they actually do.
agreed! also, find out what you need and only carry that, sell everything else asap. Store special food for challenges and only keep what you'll use, like some sort of soup. No need for other chems except stimpak and radaway and maybe a few berry mentats. Find one type of ammo to use and get a perk card for it.
I think you forgot to mention the Radstag field dressing station produces 5 radstag and you can cook it for grilled radstag which give carry weight if you don't have mirelurk steamer.
@mikewilliams9069 It literally does. I have a friend with a glitched stash box. He lags out and most of the time crashes the entire server when he logs in. When we need to get stuff from that character, he will have to try to load in 5 times before the server doesn't crash. Other MMOs don't have to same code base at this game. One game engine is not like another.
@cycleboy8028 it's more efficient to run full ammo, because it reduces the amount of perk points you need to allocate to ammo. If you're using every type of ammo, that's 8 perk points. You should only be running 1 weapon weight reduction card at a time, 3 perk points
For low level players, if you do the responder quests (starting in Flatwoods) it will lead you to the excavator armor (mentioned on a terminal in Charleston Fire Dept) as well as a ton of other plans and recipes long the way.
Carry weight is dependent as the video says, but for stash, make a second character and hold stuff on it that you don't need on your main all the time. That's where i hold all my excess weapons that I'm not using at the time

I have ZERO problem until I get into my power armor. Then I'm encumbered for 99% of my fights. At least when it's over I can hop out, reactivating my chem backpack. I use a LOT of psycho buff

Meet up with your other account and trade items with the player trading. 2. Find a container in the world which can hold 0/0 items. The 0/0 means it has infinite storage, the container can be a trash can or suitcase next to a train station or in the whitesprings. Take your items and place them in the container. Leave the world and join the same world by joing off recent players. Join with the other character. Retrieve your items. 3. Give your stuff to a friend and get it with your other character.
I have 700 or so carry weight, thats without legendary strength perk card. Strong back is only rank 2 also, full set of U/Y non matched non power armour. I eat only deathclaw steaks and ribeye steaks to boost up to 700, and I only really need to use carry weight boosters if I complete eviction notice events due to all the legendaries there.
You're carring 290lbs more outside of pa. 245lbs available carry weight. In pa you had 487lbs in available carry weight. Lazy heavy gunner pa right there!
Your armor is misrepresenting the difference a bit. You have some str on your armor vs your pa. Forgot Motion Assist Servos on PA for +2 Str. Way more accessible than doing scout challenges + high cap backpack + uy set. Total benefit of armor is 120 ( hc backpack ) + optionally 40-50 deep pockets + conditionally 75 ( 15 uy str ) + 20 (4 str ) optionally SS Underarmor ( this is only best for cw tbh ) That means a range of 120 ( full health ) to a conditional maximum of 265 … minus the actual weight of armor of course for real effective weight difference. For SSA, as you noted that was around 30 lbs. For Civil Engineers it weighs even more. So effective cw is anywhere from 90 fh to 265 minus armor weight, 235 , but 215 in your case with only two deep pockets. As you noted not everyone uses deep pockets. Total benefit from Excavator is 100 set bonus + 100 calibrated shocks + 10 ( motion assist servos. Union is 75 of course + strength from pa chasis if your base strength is below 10, to 10. So conditionally up to 45. PA is a guaranteed 175 (Union ) 200 (Exca), as everyone uses calibrated shocks and conditionally 255 benefit as not everyone has low strength or uses motion assist servos.
Herbivore can use Steeped Fern Flower Tea to increase carry weight. I always have some of that and Rad Ant Lager on me. I can't stand the hoops needed to jump through for the high capacity mod. I also think it's total bs that after all that work it decreases your protection.
Rad Ant Lager is a handy thing to have one or two in your bag. If you're heading back to your camp anyhow, you can just craft or whatever during the short "hangover" while your weight is penalized. Ant meat isn't super common, but two Forest events (Tea Time and Campfire Tales) will probably net you some.

Its hard to really gauge prices on rare masks since it reallty comes down to how badly someone wants a specifc mask they might pay that much more, but most rare masks are traded for god roll weapons, or other rare masks.

Hey turtle I commented on and older stream of you running expaditions I used to run them all day long but I’ve been getting a lot of crashes recently nearly every expadtion. And since skyline valley it seems to have gotten worse any ideas to fix this?
It’s a long shot, but if you have access through game pass, you may do better if you remove your install and play via streaming. I’ve played on Xbox since the very first beta and stress test, but had to stop for a long time due to the hangs and crashes becoming almost unplayable, but discovered that I can run the game relatively smoothly by streaming it. Unfortunately, you can’t choose to just stream the game on your console while it’s installed have to uninstall it and then you can choose to stream it or reinstall it.
You forgot VERY important Armor and Power armor effects - the third star has several Carry Weight reducers, including Ammo, Food, Junk and the BEST - Weapon Weight Reduction! To me that third star and WWR is the MOST important legendary effect...I routinely carry 100 weapons. Note: WWR no longer stacks with Weapon Weight Reducing Perk cards, so be aware.

You can only earn badges from dailies once you have earned about half of the badges that's a rank up to possum instead of tadpole. I found out the hard way after doing hundreds of dailies over a year or two

If you have either carnivore or herbivore you can NOT simply take the other to swap them, it’s a little annoying but you will need to unequip starch genes and take some radaways and you’ll lose random mutations. After you have got rid of carnivore you can take herbivore. Side note; You will probably have lost half your mutations before the game decides to erase the mutation you wanted. For this reason, if you have the serum plans and flux, and want to save time, just use a rad shower removing all and reapply what ones you want.
Out of pa I'm fine like 620/650 but in pa it's 800+ out of 450 so I just stay out of it and I'm literally a pa build but atp 5 years into the game I just run around not giving a crap how much damage I do
10:08 it is fair because when you’re bloodied you will usually have 80 to 70 hp if you have a good build and you’re below 20% Health. However when you’re full hp you can reach 400 to 430 full hp without buffs.
I never hunt ants, but when i get ant meat, I'll turn it into lagers and sell them for 50 caps each. They always sell. My bow build has the lowest strength, my carry weight is about 435 with my usual buffs. My heavy gunner is highest strength, regular armor, my carry weight with my normal buffs is a little over 500. All my builds are full health
@firebrotha3889 yea campfire tales is where i get most of my ant meat from. That and the queen. I think there's one other event that gives ant meat pretty often but i can't remember now
It should be noted that there is an absolute carry weight limit (1500 lbs + current carry weight). After the cap, the mule character cannot trade, take or place items in a random container.

You don't need weight saving perks or strength boosts if you just stash or throw away the stuff you don't need.
"The difference is not huge" Until you just need 1 more pound of carry weight to fast travel and you've already fully buffed you're carry weight (yes I have gathering, crafting and hoarding issues)
Within a few pounds, then you just drop something that is easily craftable/farmable, like Railway spikes or Water. You can always get more quickly enough.

I wouldn't be surprised at some point Bethesda increases stash size or has a unlimited stash box for Fallout 1st players.
They can't have unlimited stash box would cause too much lag we need other unlimited storage spaces like one for chems or one for clothes

How did you get your carnivore mutation to 3x benefit, I only get 2x?
Strange in numbers perk under charisma it enhances all mutations including the carnivore and herbivore mutation

500 carry weight is achievable for many players:
Carry weight base value: 150 (even if you have only 1 STR).
Plus another 14 STR on perk card screen: +70 carry weight.
Radicool perk card: +5 STR at high rads = +25 carry weight.
Deep Pocket mods on 4 pieces of armor (2 arms, 2 legs) add 10 carry weight each: +40 total.
High-capacity backpack: +120 carry weight.
Marsupial mutation: +20.
5 Unyielding armor pieces: +15 STR = +75 carry weight.
150+70+25+40+120+20+75 = 500 total.

Too much mirco-management work to temporarily increase the carry weight. I prefer lazy permanent boost to carry weight, which aren't many options.

Btw if you use a chemist or a grocer’s backpack, rolling a Chem and food reduction PA set makes it so you’re not over encumbered while in PA
