Sonic Frontiers. Giganto boss fight with all interactions and no HUD.

- After my compilation of bosses made harder with mods, I had another idea.
Removing most HUD elements and showing most of the bosses interactions and secret attacks in one video (now in 60fps and 1440p)
This boss was beaten using the buffed titans mod, being level 1 on every stat and with a reduced parry window.
I hope you guys will enjoy.

So, Sonic in his regular state caps out below beings who can destroy the planet. *Super Sonic* regularly throws hands with forces and entities that can shred spacetime like tissue paper.
Giganto didn’t just go from 0 to 100 in making Sonic bring out the golden god, he went from 0 to _incalculable._
Sonic in his base form has fought multiple enemies above planet level in at this point. Like Ultimate Emerl, Erazor djinn, or Infinite and the phantom Ruby death egg robot.

But in reality sonic just needs to know how to fly.
Technically supersonic beat a GOD in game lore lol
If we include Sonic Battle, base Sonic is much stronger than that.
He defeated Emerl in less than a minute.
Eggman used the Final Egg Blaster to destroy a cluster of stars. And all that energy was absorbed by Emerl.
And yet Sonic beat him.
I really like how much people love this fight
And why people wouldn't like this fight? this is just the first boss and yet he feels like he's the final challenge

Giganto is just a plain arena no cool gimmicks Wyvern however you fly around the whole island there is cool quick time events it's just better Giganto is meant to be that test boss where you try out your moves Wyvern is when they start getting creative

I wish Sega adds a new difficulty in a future patch that makes the Titans have lots of health without needing to install a mod
I believe the road map for this game said something about Titan challenges so whenever that actually gets implemented, that may be the case?

Someone said using a thumb stick is a substitute for button mashing. But, I haven't tried it myself, so don't quote me on that
Fun Fact: Spinning The Walking Joystick Will You Mash 1.5x Faster Than Normal Mashing, BUT If You Mash AND Do The Spinning Joystick You Can Go Anywhere From 2x Speed TO 2.5X Speed, Depending On How Fast You Mash AND Spin
i didn’t even know we could just slap him to the ground like that. didn’t think he would take that lol
The first time, the boss barely flinched. That moment, you knew Sonic wouldn't pull it off no matter how hard he tried. Nice for the story to unwear him from the plot armor to show off how serious of a threat the Titans pose.
Now, when it's finally time for round 2, you know Sonic is not holding back now that he can overpower the Titan. This time, the Titan is in serious trouble. The revenge is supreme. Nothing beats coming back stronger than ever before to fight and destroy who destroyed you the first time.
All the titan can do is try to outlast it, if they can’t, they’re pretty much dead

@@brannycedeno6823 I honestly lost the first time due to lack of rings, but when I had over 400, that game me plenty of time to destroy it the second attempt. 100 rings, which is 100 seconds, is not a lot of time.

It's hard to believe giganto is way stronger than perfect chaos but I know he is considering in generations he needed base form to beat him and he gets stronger every second plus the infinite power granted by the emeralds is needed to beat giganto
That's true, but I wonder if you could make this more interesting.
Chaos is all about controlling water, shapeshifting and such, making him way more capable of being a global threat. I don't know much about Chaos' specifics, but he has a clear weakpoint protected by, what appears to be, just more water and was in a blind, aimless rage against everything - a loose, glass canon. Sonic is probably going to have an easier time dealing with him, given that his fighting style is turning himself into a bullet. The main problem could've been his difficulty traversing water, which the Boost was casually flipping off later.
Giganto's, and the Titans' main trait in general, is their immense durability. Even Super Sonic takes a while to break through them. They aren't as much of a world ending threat as they are insurmountable brickwalls, the immovable object to halt Sonic's unstoppable force. Unlike Chaos who was desperately lashing out at everything, they are a lot more focused and efficient in their tasks as guardians. Maybe that also makes them better opponents for Sonic in general, regardless of power level.

I would say that the "double cyloop + no hard knockdown" should be called uppercut imo.
You missed one small thing- the lasers coming from his back are actually parryable.

Can you actually "Hard-knock" Giganto? Or is that a mod? Same with the counter-attack thing.
Both are possible, don’t know how exactly to do the hard knock though

@@FaydesDemise you can do the hard-knock in the game. It's pretty hard to do consistently, but what I come to a conclusion I that giganto has two attacks moves that you can parry, and the first one seems to be the most consistent to do it. What you have to do is either cyloop him before he attacks, or after he attacks the first time, then cyloop him. Then attack him in the head a few times and cyloop his head to throw him to the ground. If you don't do that and wait after he attacks the second time or he gets to his second phase, he won't get knocked out. Also, it only works once. At least I believe it only works once as I haven't seen him get knocked out twice in a row, but I could be wrong.
Both are in the vanilla game.
To get the hard knockdown you need to know 2 things.
1: You cannot do it in the second phase.
2: The more damage you deal to Giganto while he is in the air after the first cyloop, the more likely he is to instantly get up after the 2nd cyloop so if you want to maximise your chances of him getting hard knockdown I would suggest to instantly do the 2nd cyloop after only 1 hit.

I had no idea you can cycloop him twice into the floor
I would like these fights to feel more dynamic. Most of the time it feels like the bosses just stand there to get hit and then they do an attack that can be parried by holding a button without worrying about timing, returning to the hit me state for another seven seconds or so.
If they made the bosses a bit more aggresive and force the player to time their parries, then the combat would become much more challenging, yet gratifying

Another Way You Can Do This Is To NOT DO GRAND SLAM, Parry His Attacks But Don't Grand Slam, Another Tip Is To Mainly Target His Right Shoulder (Otherwise The Left Shoulder If We're Talking About The Player's POV)
I wonder if this truly is the limit of the Chaos Emeralds. It's pretty much the most powerful Super Sonic has been in the franchise. I think this was the limit or else their true power is beyond Sonic's control.
But they have to do more battles like the titans.

How are you able to beat him up while he’s on the ground after a second cyloop? I’ve never been able to do that even with the mod.
He needs to be very high hp. The less hp he has the more likely he is to wake up instantly

Why doesn't he do that counter attack on me? For me he just spins around.
Do the double cyloop in the first phase then you need to deal enough damage for him to instantly wake up and counter.

Every HUD Element Can Be Removed Via Options, Except For The Boss Health, Which Can Get Removed By Entering The Games Files
Just like they said above, most of them can be removed in-game, as for the boss health, you can activate some codes in the Hedgemodmanager (on PC)
