If you fire the bike up cold and hit the limiter it would in theory be a little more quiet than after a moto being put on the limiter for 30 min. They shouldnt even test its ridiculous.

Do you remember the fmf energy drink fiasco back in the early 2010s. Villopoto was running the fmf pipe. Fmf came out with an energy drink. Ama said kawi couldnt run the fmf logos because of monster being a title sponsor. Mike fisher was kawi manager. He wouldnt switch to different pipe midseason and he got fired. Does anyone else remember that. Then it was reed running the litpro or whatever camera and they said he couldnt because gopro was some ama sponsor same with the CBD oil sponsor that dean wilson had . Then ama has them as a sponsor. Total sh!t show on how they do. Bunch of crooks

It was truly fun The Sweet smell Bell Ray of 2 cycle smoke. Big board 2 strokes. Yz400 and then Yz465 Kx 500 Huska 430 maico.490 And now you got politics in it. I got tested in that 250 group B behind Matt I was on a ktm with a akrapovic pipe and barely passed with a 113db and the other 3 riders were on fmf I was the only one that passed screw the AMA
Apparently they checked Deegans bike for sound aswell after race 2 but his bike was broken, leaked oil or some sht (u can see it smoke at the end of race 2), so they couldnt rev it up at all.
Love how Reagan’s bike blew up but at superx they were doing burn outs and having it on limiter and even his mechanic said it just won’t blow up. Going figure 🤷🏽♂️
So let me get this correct... The entry fees are non-refundable meaning they take $1000s of dollars from local kids to hand pick who they want to allow in, knowing they have far to many entrants than what they will be allowing in and take their money intentionally. I know @CookseyMedia does and awesome job at bringing these things to light, I have been a lifelong fan of Pro Motocross and Supercross but learning how the powers that be are just money hungry slime, really turns my stomach. Now I understand by my localt track Muddy Creek Raceway doesn't have a national. It, as with many others is a world class event and track but the powers that be seem to want to screw everyone over like Glen Helen.

sound is a rule, outlined clearly. It hurts the privateer more than factories a lot - but it in the rule book and has been tested in sx for years, tested coming off the track in sx and smx a long while - and with the merger is now in outdoors. It sucks to fail - but support and buy pipes that pass…which will force companies that dont pass to improve their consumer product
Doug Henry's so cool ,when he raced active sno cross At X-GAMES in 13, i had a rider in the same class that Doug got into in the first corner and my guy had to come back and pass Doug. So before the next race earlier in the day i was pulling Doug up the hill backwards to the pits at X-GAMES and I told him that if he took my guy out in the first corner again. That i was going to pull him to the top and let him go down into the parking lol. We were both laughing and then i was who knows maybe you can get some air off the big snow banks at the bottom, and wip some wicked trick and someone sees it and a new sport could be born. Lol that was pretty cool hanging out with him and the rest of the adaptive guy's class... Awesome guy's...Bob....
What is the Db level that is allowable? I was at Red Bud this last weekend and during the race we were about 60 feet away from the track and it was pretty loud!

If anyone thinks Duffe doesn’t know how to make a bike blow up, I got news for ya. And Yamahas are the easiest to do it to, they require zero tools to access the air box, and a rubber glove 🧤 puts a stop to all that rule enforcing
Southwick is the only sand track they can say is a euro track. They are going off that storyline to get views. It's live TV what do you expect? Test it before so you don't go in without knowing. When packing a pipe you can use more or less making sound difference.
I think he’s reaching a little bit. There wouldn’t have been really anyone that they “wanted” to qualify that wouldn’t have whether yalls 3-4 guys times stood or not.
So potentially a person can win the race and have a muffler start to fail during a race and be docked 3 spots at the end. Thats not right. Also when a muffler is hot the sound waves flow differently then when it’s cold. Sound should be checked in tech, away from other influencing sounds, stamp the pipe or spare pipes. I would be questioning the accuracy of Matt and others tests. A lot of back ground noise on race day to add 3db.

how can you check sounds after moto's. Packing could be compromised, engine temp, lots of different scenarios. Sound should be checked prior to the moto. ama at it again

We got tested and failed with FMF exhaust with 13th in the first 250B at High Point. We got tested and approved in tech inspection at Southwick.

Clearly AMA is working on stopping the locals 'hold' on Southwick. Factories DO NOT like the potential of their guys getting bumped by the 'unfair advantage' the Locals have. : /
sound is a rule, outlined clearly. It hurts the privateer more than factories a lot - but it in the rule book and has been tested in sx for years, tested coming off the track in sx and smx a long while - and with the merger is now in outdoors. It sucks to fail - but support and buy pipes that pass…which will force companies that dont pass to improve their consumer product

Doug Henry's so cool ,when he raced active sno cross At X-GAMES in 13, i had a rider in the same class that Doug got into in the first corner and my guy had to come back and pass Doug. So before the next race earlier in the day i was pulling Doug up the hill backwards to the pits at X-GAMES and I told him that if he took my guy out in the first corner again. That i was going to pull him to the top and let him go down into the parking lol. We were both laughing and then i was who knows maybe you can get some air off the big snow banks at the bottom, and wip some wicked trick and someone sees it and a new sport could be born. Lol that was pretty cool hanging out with him and the rest of the adaptive guy's class... Awesome guy's...Bob....
All the privateers complaining need to see that they are the problem. Stop showing up to race the series. Supply and demand.
What is the Db level that is allowable? I was at Red Bud this last weekend and during the race we were about 60 feet away from the track and it was pretty loud!

I swear this year was supposed to be the FMF Redbud National but now it’s Bob Coolers or something sponsoring the race. I’ll be at the race and I’m pretty sure when I bought my tickets it was FMF. Can anyone else confirm?

Southwick is the only sand track they can say is a euro track. They are going off that storyline to get views. It's live TV what do you expect? Test it before so you don't go in without knowing. When packing a pipe you can use more or less making sound difference.
There are wayyyyy more privateers than factory/bigger team riders.

So potentially a person can win the race and have a muffler start to fail during a race and be docked 3 spots at the end. Thats not right. Also when a muffler is hot the sound waves flow differently then when it’s cold. Sound should be checked in tech, away from other influencing sounds, stamp the pipe or spare pipes. I would be questioning the accuracy of Matt and others tests. A lot of back ground noise on race day to add 3db.

Here's one for young guy's let's go back in time like 1979 you had like A multitude.mx's tracks like with in 100 miles of were we Live. You could take like $30 Dollars and go racing you had tracks like 3 1/2 to 5 acres in size. Big boars like Yz400 and then Yz465 Husky 430 and maico 490 Kx 500. And now you got politics in it. Oh, and from the words of king Kenny Roberts. 2 strokes rule, 4 strokes Drool. O and i just got back from my first mx race it's been like over 30 years my friend who had to do it again he would had 2 but got pushed wide he ended up in 3 place. We Drove like 200 miles to get because rules he was no longer part of the AMA. O to get in this track it only costs $10 bucks. O am 58 now my friend is 63 now. And yes i still have Yz400. Old folks doing s*** 😂😂😂. And his 2006 Yz250 has a FMF Pipe. And his pipe was loud.😊
how can you check sounds after moto's. Packing could be compromised, engine temp, lots of different scenarios. Sound should be checked prior to the moto. ama at it again

Us 4th generation motocross Jones's had the same issue at Dilla.... Denial letter for Nick Jones (grandson of factory rider De Wayne Jones), and this needs to stop! This sport is shifting and not in a good way!

I heard deegan bike was leaking oil , smoking towards the end and had a oil leak I would he pissed if they destroyed my bike after a race .

I raced in pro class in the mid 80's and up to 2003, the AMA has always screwed the privateers veimentally, they very riders that make the whole show possible l would like to see how many show up to watch a all Factory only show

And if you want to slow bikes down should start with 250s because a 250 at 120 decibels is faster than a 450 at 110 decibels. Sound logic pun intended.

Star had a self-destruct mode. It would be easy enough to do with the WIFI the yamaha has. I would lean it out and retard the timing so much it increases the EGT and burns the piston.
The AMA needs to be disolved, they like the NCAA are ripping off the sport of motocross and the riders. We need to start our own association.

But hey, AMA is SELF APPOINTED "Masters" the sport. No law, no nothing. Any one can set up an alternate organisation BUT it would be so hard to get the motorcycle brands behind it, but you could get the dealers and 90% of riders who hate the AMA. Of course this would cost big $$$. GOttta start local. Look at the SwapMoto series in SoCal.. huge turnouts they have turn people away.
