In my opinion this suite is a callback to Incubus's early days with Fungus Amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. albums, which is more Funk Metal/Acid Rock/Alternative Metal than any of Dark Side of the Moon, which is more psychedelic stuff. I'm guessing that since this was part of the Halo 2 Official Soundtrack, Microsoft owns all the distribution rights, same with the work done by Steve Vai/Nile Rogers/Breaking Benjamin/Hoobastank for the Halo 2 OST.
As a person that has only ever heard Incubus through the Halo 2 soundtrack, I have to ask, is the rest of their catalog similar to this? I often see in the comments people commenting that the songs made by Incubus for Halo 2, really delve into Pink Floyd-esque territories bringing instrumental, psychedelic infused rhythm and I think thats why I really like these songs... that and having listened to the Halo 2 soundtrack dozens of times from beginning to end lol.
Yeah nothing really like this. I mean all of their B sides stuff is kind of like this. The look alive soundtrack is similar. But their mainstream albums not even close. More alt pop rock. More experimental prior to 2005. Now has been washed down a bit, perhaps with fewer drugs and more money in the bank 😂. Still my favorite band.

2004 called. It wants us to come chill and have a beer and talk about old times.
I honestly don't get why Incubus didn't release this as an official EP.
Maybe because it draws heavily from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" or some other agreement with Bungie/Microsoft

you might enjoy some of their earlier material pre 2004...anything afterwards is trash IMO
