I love the Iowa Triple Option take! I come from a high school that produced both Tommie Frazier and Willie Taggert - two of the best option QB's ever in college football! I am sure there are a ton of athletes out there that would love to run some option for the Hawkeyes!
Historically Michigan struggles in Bowl Games. I hope Michigan can catch the physicality of Alabama. Michigan needs a creative and effective gameplan for the Rose Bowl.

I can confirm what Aaron is saying about Losing in bad ways. MSU lost to bama in horrific and embarrassing fashion in 2015 in the playoff. That stung and we played a very similar brand to what Michigan does now. Granted I’d take 23s Michigan over 15 MSU but it would be a dog fight.

Steve cannot be more off base with his CFP take. This game is the biggest game in Michigan history in my own opinion. Win this game, you go on to the national championship where if you win that you cement the program as among the elite of the elite in college football. Lose in the 1st round again and you’re just same old Michigan.
That’s a poor mindset and I hope nobody from the Harbaugh’s team is thinking that way. You have to beat the best to be the BEST. Facing Georgia was inevitable but this season, they are getting the next best thing, which happens to be the most decorated team called Alabama that beat Georgia.
The standard can no longer be “Beat Ohio State”. They have to win it all this season!!!

I like the Bama matchup. It kinda makes Michigan feel like an underdog. Nobody is giving Michigan any respect and I"ve heard people in the media say that it sounded like the Wolverines are scared. That is just dumb.
As far as matchups go, I really like Michigan's defense against Alabama's passing offense. I think the Wolverines could just go out in their base defense and focus on containing the run, particularly those QB runs. Trust Saintristil, Johnson, and Moore to cover those receivers. Honestly, there isn't a better trio of DB's in the country and they should help the rest of the D focus on that run game. If they allow Milroe to keep gaining first downs with his feet it will be a long night. I do think the front seven matches up well with the Alabama O-line too. The Jenkins, Graham, Grant, Benny, and Moore rotation along the D-line should be strong throughout the game. The Bama offense ranks 125th with 3.5 sacks allowed per game while the Michigan defense is ranked 25th with 2.5 sacks per game. So, I feel if the Michigan defense can get to four sacks it will be on par to be in position to win this game.
The offense needs to not panic. Just go out there and play your best game. Trust the fundamentals and trust the coaching. Get to 24 points and you've got a strong chance to win. Go Blue!
No one has held Michigan to less than 24. No one has scored more than 24 on Michigan. Bama is not the best offense Michigan has seen and is far from the best defense. QED
The only offense that is even remotely close to Alabama that Michigan has played is Ohio State and they are way much better than Ohio State. Ohio State hasn't even scored 400 points on the season and Bama is at 456 against a tougher schedule. Jalen Milroe for better or worse is a better QB than Kyle Mccord, Bama has a better Oline than OSU better RB's they only thing about OSU's offense that's objectively better than Bama is their TE and WR. Now Statistically speaking Bamas defense is worse but Alabama has faced 4 really good offenses where as Ohio State and Michigan have only one against each other, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Maryland are nowhere near the offenses of Texas, Ole Miss, LSU, and Georgia so Alabamas defense is much more battle tested even though their numbers say they aren't as good.
In other words Bama is going to roll over Michigan and Michigan fans we'll just have to live with big 10 championship wins that don't mean nearly what they used to mean in the past

No one should discount Nick Saban and Alabama and would do that at their own peril. He is truly one of the greatest college coaches ever. Love him or hate him, that is still undeniable. I expect it to be Michigan vs OSU on steroids. It will not be easy, but it's the next step of the vision this team has held all season. I have to believe they can do that. Go Blue!

As a fan, I want M to show improvement from the previous season. Losing in the semi last year would mean minimally a semi-final win for this year for me not to say that 2023 is a disappointing season.

Michigan has built a legit “SEC”type defense. especially our guys upfront on the defensive line. On top of this, they have the offense as well to be able to win this game so long as they can get into a good rhythm. We have the better QB, the better defense overall. It won’t be easy but to just dismiss this game just because it’s Alabama is absolutely loser mentality

Now If UM played more bowl games back in the leather helmet days they’d easily have a winning bowl record, they just weren’t played like that so UM looks worse historically bc a higher percentage of bowl games have been played since the 2000s and that up until now has been michigans weakest era. Even still they actually did have a winning bowl record before 2000. It kinda screws the numbers up and expectations, but I think our goal should be to be better than that. Uhhh… Roman Wilson runs a 4.37 and Cornelius Johnson has an updated time of 4.47. Semaj Morgan doesn’t have an updated time but he definitely has speed to burn as evidenced with that punt return in the B1G championship. Michigan definitely has speed at receiver.
