Best info I have heard he is dealing with some personal issues... Weather that is health or otherwise no one is saying. I feel like he were planning on leaving he would have been snatched up already by another program given his success at everywhere he has been. That's just more a feeling than a prediction. It is odd that there is total radio silence on him though. It leads to wild speculation.

Ideally he would have left the program in better shape; he didn’t, and that changed my opinion on him slightly. Yeah, agreed the last 3 years were great, but he just wiped out half the coaching staff? Let’s not forget he’s been flirting with the nfl the past 3 years. He could have easily left 2 years ago if a team actually wanted him then and then he’d have no legacy.

@tomrockhill8634 Honestly, anywhere from 8-4 to 12-0. It will depend on what manifests at o-line and QB. I think defense will be fine so long as we don't lose key players to the transfere portal.
I keep hearing they hired all these people yet you can't find any information about them being actually hired from any outlet. I love Michigan football but while we play patty cake OSU is building an unbeatable team. Moore did not get 1 player added to the recruiting while OSU paid for every superstar in the nation. This is going to be a long 4 yrs.

I don’t think it will be top5. I think it will be top 20 for sure. We are playing 9 very hard games with high powered offenses. Fresno is not a push over. Then you have Texas. Ohio state. Oregon. several other hard games.
UCLA's biggest problem is they've never prioritized Football over some of their other sports like baseball, softball, and men's basketball. They're alot like Michigan State. They need a Mark Dantonio type that knows how to develop players at an elite level, and can bring in some stability and credibility to the program. But they will never be more than that!
Dantonio was no master developer. He was merely the benefactor of being able to win in state recruiting at a time when UM was down.
UCLA is in a beautiful location, iconic stadium. There is no excuse for not being able to win.

Well, I think the point to be emphasized is, and of course obviously he touched on it a little bit, is that people need to calm down, what Michigan has done with Sherrone Moore, and his stepping into the role and exercising some managerial savvy of his own is quite remarkable frankly, he has retained over 95% of his elite talent... most of the coaching line, yes there were key pieces that moved on, but as to total volume and influence, important but not that much.
Jim Harbaugh's departure created a rare vacuum, it was just going to happen... I want to jump ship and go pro, that's the time - I'm not mad at them, that's their window
Sherrone Moore hiring Wink Martindale plugged the attrition as far as I'm concerned - he was right to cite them leaving Michigan defensive line coaching style influence wake splitting the NFL across two different divisions coast to coast, and then the ripple effect of a few coaches that followed, though impactful, in time were people that could be replaced
Michigan has much to look forward to, particularly to razzing up the buckeye faithful, they think that importing Chip Kelly is going to improve their overall defense, I don't think so, all they did was give Ryan Day something to think about as far as a replacement

I disagree with some of the Wink stuff. He has shown to be a blitz guy & the stats show this. It also shows that even without the ability to cover or have better cover personnel he still will blitz. This shows that he IS similar to D. Brown. Brown was not going to stop being who he is regardless of whether or not the pieces were in place to match up continually. Winks gonna do what he does period.
As far as how McDonald & Minter did with this ‘Ravens’ scheme shows that They called it their way. They were true to who they already were. Who is calling the plays make that scheme what it is. They called it to match the personnel they had. If Wink does not do the same and calls it because thats just who he is regardless of personnel/ match ups. We will give up more big plays. I HOPE IM WRONG…. We will see I guess.

I'll add Cheater U finishes 2024 no better than 8-4 and more likely 7-5. But it could be even worse depending on how many or if all of Edwards, Loveland, Moore and Graham leave. OSU vs OR in a season rematch for the Conference title with PSU, USC, and WISC/MD rounding out the B10 Top 5.
With that schedule and all the losses I think 9-3 would be a successful year for Michigan
I live in the West. College football is dying out here. The only team that draws is Oregon and that is going to last as long as Phil Knight and his money lasts. USC is trying, at least. It's a geography problem. Washington, Oregon, UCLA and Southern California are stuck in a corner of the country.
