I thought that I came up with the pcv idea! Hope it works well, hate the oily mess the old road tube leaves on the underside of the truck. I noticed that you are missing the starter support bracket that bolts to one of the oil pan bolts and the starter bolt closest to the oil pan. This takes the rotational stress off the starter bolts when you fire it up.
That vacuum port you are using is needed for the power brake booster, putting the PCV valve inline will need to be sized small so you retain vacuum. Doug Knutson
Are you still doing videos. I just found your website and the newest one is a year ago. I live in Oregon and have a flathead in my 46 Ford super deluxe.
Hi Charles, I had some life changes that take up all of my free time. Hopefully in the future I can get back to making some more videos. Where in Oregon do you live?
Aaron, I'm enjoying your Flathead videos, again! I have my transmission mounted, and will be setting it all on the restored frame next week. I have a question about the PCV valve that came to my mind when you got to saying you hoped to add an oil pressure valve to the engine run stand. Does the PCV valve placed on vacuum effect your oil pressure enough to notice?
Hi mech, sorry, but no video of the first start. It does run though. We bought a farm and moved, I have been so busy I haven't taken the time to put a video out. I need to pull it out and do a quick Iphone video, so people know it runs good.
Hi sawymer, I have video of the motor running but have not had the time to edit and post it. Our business has been crazy busy and we moved to a new farm. Hopefully I can post it sometime soon. Aaron

Hi Mark, I got the idea off of the HAMB (jalopy journal). I forgot about the starter bracket, fabricated one up this morning, all good now. Thanks.

Hi Doug. Do you mean if I'm using a power brake booster?, or are you meaning the vaccum advance wont work for the distributer?

Hi Curtis, the PCV valve does not affect the oil pressure at all.

Thank you sir
So where do you get your vacuum for your power brakes then
Hi Gordan, I don't use power brakes.😀
I see you are missing the starter to oil pan bracket which is an important part.
Hi Mark, i forgot about the bracket, Fabricated one this morning. All good now, thanks.
Hey would you want to rebuild my 8ba carb for me for a fee? I can mail it to you.
Hi Andrew, look up Charlie Price Vintage Speed on RUclips. He can walk you through the carb rebuild. You can do it, it's not hard.
