    Brilliant video Matt, how about next two minute Tuesday you talk about strength and conditioning as a kid and body weight training compared to weight training

      im not matt but i think being young you should just stick to bodyweight but as you get older and move into higher levels in the game, weight training is essential.

    One of the nice things about watching the videos of your trainings is noticing your techniques for specific actions. Already a few things that I'm focussing on in my own play. It's just a lot easier to pickup on techniques watching a repetitious training video vs watching games or highlights.

    You're right about having to find the balance in training the different aspects of one's game. It's always a challenge to improve all areas at once but what are some drills (with the ball) that can lift both the technical and the athletic aspect at the same time?

    When I was in primary school there was this care taker who was a lovely old man about in his 60’s or late 50’s and he supported Fullham and he always told me as a player I should train with a small football over like a size 4 or 5 and now that is coming in handy 😂

  • @PeterGonzalezLee
    @PeterGonzalezLee 7 лет назад

    Loved the 90 degree drill. Would be good to add some variation of outside of the foot passes and change the distances as well. I've been really focused on observing the touches when I watch Premier League or La Liga and noticed those dudes make the most accurate passes no matter what angle, distance or part of the foot they use.

    Hey Matt really love your stuff. Been watching your vids for quite some time now. We have the same training style but a tip I would give you is to look up more when doing your drills. Practicing to keep your head up and to check your shoulders is something I’ve been doing during my individual training sessions and it has improved so much come game time.

    Americans worry too much about physical size and athleticism. When Barcelona started their dynasty (pre La Masia n all that). Instead of looking for the athlete n making them a soccer player, they looked for the soccer player n made them an athlete. Thats one thing America needs to improve. We have the best athletes but they cant play quality soccer. Imagine if all those monster athletes could actually play soccer? Easily can be a top team in the world

      Futbal Hustle He said a long time ago in one of his Day in the Life videos that he does it just because it's so much harder, and you have to concentrate a lot more because the sweet spot of the ball is just so much smaller, so you need to focus on the ball a lot more in order to be successful.

    Seriously I think that saying "Youre not strong enough" or "Youre too small" is bullshit, if youre good enough, if youre technically GOOD, being a Little bit fat or a Little bit skinny shouldnt stop anyone to be a pro football player, or what about players like Andres Iniesta, Neymar, Pastore, DI maria and lots of more players... arent they skinny? yeah, but look where they are and being skinny didnt stop them to become extraordinary football players, TALENT IS TALENT and if you have it the other things shouldnt matter that much.
