this is really helpful as i cant go outside to train on weekdays and i cant use a size 5 ball indoors but i do have a small ball to practice ball mastery with.
Brazilian kids, back in the 80s and 90s would spend their time playing football with a tennis ball, all day. Why? That was the only ball size allowed in school. Also, usually the one kids could afford. Not to mention that a small 3 (indoor balls) were also highly used. Those years were the ones that produced the best Brazilian players... So I'd say that smaller balls do help, in the very long run.
This is quite an insightful vid! I have one question tho. I don't have a football rn. And I have a tennis ball. So should I train with a tennis ball till I get a football or not? It will help greatly if you solve my dilemma bro :)
Hey i have a size 5 football but i use it outside and i dont want to clean it everytime i use it in my room so i have a size 4 football that i use in my room and i do dribbling and juggling drills is that a bad habit thats making me worse with the size 5?
Thank you for the feedback! I'd say training barefoot has both its pros and cons. In regards to juggling, feel free to do it. Would you like to see a video on this?
Used a tennis ball a lot as a kid as that was only ball allowed in school playground. Also would practice in the garage at home with a tennis ball, less chance of breaking stuff.
Just like I say in the video; using a tennis ball to add some fun in your life/training won't hurt. But please, don't start shooting with a tennis ball at practice! 😅
I gave vid dislike because if tennis sized balls help goal keeper it probably helps the other players too, to mee it sounded like you was just hating on tennis sized balls after you said that. Be consistent.
Hand-eye coordination is totally different from foot-eye coordination. Catching or deflecting a ball is totally different from shooting/dribbling/passing/receiving a ball. Catching/deflecting a ball is a simple action (from a cognitive perspective) in comparison to decision-making involving the feet. I'm sorry the video has upset you. I'd suggest you go through it one or two more times and take some notes - I'm sure you'll get the points I demonstrate and I promise I will try to make my videos more "digestible" in the future. Thank you.
Which ball are YOU using the most?! 👇

Is hard tennis ball good for training
Thank you so much for this video, you're so underrated ☺
I ordered a size 3 ball to improve juggling and close space dribbling
Good information, thanks for the video. GOD BLESS YOU BRO! 👍🏻🔥

Correlation does not equal to causation
They also play football every day though

Love ur videos they are very helpful

Is it okay to dribble here and there with a size 1 ball?
Great video
I only ever use a tennis ball to do some juggling in the beginning of my sessions otherwise it's always size 5
Great, Gareth! This should be more than enough to help you prepare and focus on the "core" of the ball. 🙌
Can we use a Size 4 Ball to play casually at your local ground(everyday), does it ruin gameplay with a larger ball
Can i use 3 size of football for skills

I do the same thing and it looks like my dribbling on the size 5 ball has been very sloppy compared to my 4 so I would train with 5
Can I alternate between ball sizes to improve my footwork like use size 3 one day and size 5 the other?
yeah I did that and my control was so good
size 2 balls are the collectable ones
Is it okay to train dribbling with tennis ball here and there.

Are you using it?
i have paper ball in front of me
That maybe minus size
Shit I just gave you my 9 month video size one ball
Can i practice my footwork skills with size 3 ball??
You can definitely do it but I wouldn't solely rely on it. Mix things up and "play" with the training time you invest using each ball size.
The best footballers use tennis balls to improve there control especially when doing kick ups.

I don't have football so I train with a beach ball is it ok?
Not optimal but if it’s the only choice you have, go for it!
I have size 2
If you're going to buy a ball to improve ball control what size would you prefer??!
probably 3
I use the tennis ball to dribble around at home is it fine😂
