I love my Addiction X , it really is my go to plane to build confidence , try new tricks and just have great fun with , there is not a better plane for learning and improving 3D . All the best Michael an Happy Christmas ...........
@@cgvideosviapawpawguthrie No , it doesn't replace the Rudder , but on a Cub , you might want to mix in some Rudder to get those nice turns . Rudder is more of a yaw control and Ailerons are your roll control . Best of luck .......
Great video, do you ever make it up to the aircraft events in Thornburg Virginia? I picked up an Addiction and Addiction X used but still in the box . Working on my flying skills to where I'll be able to fly them.
Hi Michael! To me the ADX is your favorite. Your first one was red. You flew it so much the wings were faded. I am strongly considering my 3rd PA plane. I have the ADXL, and KMX. However you flying the ADX with such perfection, and so often I am thinking if you could have only one, it would be the ADX? I am waiting for the V2. The ADX is about 8oz/ sq ft. My ADXL is about 10.5 oz/ sq.ft. Does the lighter wing loading of the ADX allow it to be the better of the two? Sub'd and T-Up a long time ago! Awesome flying my brotha!
I have had a few flights on one of these that my mate owns, it really did impress me with all the things you mentioned in this video. The only complaint I had was that I felt the roll rate was lacking, but I guess that is just due to the size of the model?
That's really odd. The ailerons are so excessively large, it is one of the few I have to set a separate 3d rate with lower aileron rates for rolling harriers. I used full on this video, but the roll rate is silly fast. Not sure what caused your experience to be that way.
@@MichaelWargo ok, may need to have another look at the model next weekend. Thank you for the reply, perhaps there was something else at play. Potentially too much deflection causing the surface to stall? I remember flying it with a insane throws, perhaps too much.
Mike. I've been watching your videos so awhile collecting info from you and many other sources. I want to let you know how helpful they are and I know how much work goes in a 5 min clip. I'm ready to step up my 3d game (as the the yougsters would say) or should I say start my 3d game. My biggest issue I think is lack of flying. I'm also in the hobby biz. We have a RC shop that is 90 percent airplane related. Keeping a Shop open leaves little time to fly. My question is to you sir. At my point I need to learn radio programming and mixing for the different tricks and maneuvers. I've found a lot if info but wading thru the incorrect and poorly translated info has kept me from learning at the rate I should be. Do you know of a 3d flying Bible if you will? Or a place to look for the info that you would endorse? Thank you for your time... And videos. Joe Gotta know Joe hobbies Spring Tx
Get on RC Groups. I have set up and mixing guide documents I had written. You can find them on RC Groups, Precision Aerobatics Site and Hobbyking site. My how to fly 3d thread is crazy popular, and filled with contributors. All my vids and docs are posted in early pages. I don't think there was any on it at first. I have a slight rudder/aileron mix and rudder/elevator. When new pa planes tend to not need any if you get the CG just right.
Its been awhile since i watched 3D flight and HOLY SH*T you can fly! I forgot how good you are sir. More videos please.. : ) Im still only able to do left hand rolls while in a slight harrier. I have a kind of crazy channel here Feeling FeNi and i have just made a video myself flying my old yak EPP. You basicaly taght me how to build, set up, and fly. So check it out.

YEs... I think I agree with you. It is a great plane. Picking a favorite is like picking a favorite child though. I love all of them.

I had such high hopes for my addiction xl but the motor seems anemic it. I don't like the small 6s setup. I'll have to fix it someday.
What tip would you give to someone flying with alerions for the first time? Specially the Carbon Cub?
Not sure there would be a tip. Everything should be way more controllable and comfortable. Good idea to be moving forward. You will love that cub!

Hey Michael...it’s green, right?? Thought it was blue.
IT is Blue... The Green is Xmas green!
Haha! Ok. Have a great weekend!
Where is that field at?
It is in New Smyrna Florida. Indian River Remote Control. When I fly electrics only, it is where I fly.
