Always appreciate you posting these great comments from Eddie before and after this Noir Alley entries. I've certainly learned a lot from his remarks. Such tantalizing trivia!

Won't watch this, but thanks for posting. " Naked" in a title seems to sink a film - "Naked Kiss", "Naked Gun" , etc. And who could forget (or forgive) "Naked Cannibal Campers"?

@maartenlemmens8628 "Seems to sink" - still true. The Naked City is fine of course. The title makes sense, in & of itself, like The Naked Truth. But what the heck actually is a Naked Alibi or a Naked Kiss? Is there a clothed kiss?

@@ameryek.9607 the term Naked Kiss is explained in the movie. It,s a kiss without emotion. It,s a bit of poetic license by Samuel Fuller

Are you serious?! Actually, I believe that the majority of the kissing that occurs is, The Clothed Kiss. So, we can surmise that the only time you are kissing, is when you are doing some "Naked Kiss"(ing)? Or perhaps, any kissing is unacceptable in your weird world?

funny, I didn't much like this movie. I thought the story too weak, and it did feel like a 1950s TV show. However, I have to say Gene Barry is very good in it...

The film was a dud, alright; but far from being the worst film Eddie Muller has shown on Noir Alley.

@@JackSparda-v8r the worst films he shown are violence, bad for each other and the housemaid and also the woman on pier 13.. this film is not the worst. it's a good cop killer noir film thriller.

      1. I just said it wasn't the worst. Cage of Evil, The Big Caper, Julie (which isn't even noir) etc. weren't the greatest pictures as well. There's too many contenders.
      2. You have the right to enjoy the film.
      3. I find it peculiar that you singled out The Woman on Pier 13/I Married a Communist which is kind of a gem and authentic film noir; as pointed out by Tony D'Ambra.

Not a good film; yes it seems very early TV. But definitely a noir.

One of the worst noir films I've seen. Truly terrible. Shame on everyone involved.

I wish he had the same resentment that he had with this film with other films he showed this year on noir alley that are trash like violence, bad for each other and the housemaid as well the women on pier 13.. but this was a great noir film

“Resentment?” Look that word up. You mean criticism. And it’s Eddie’s prerogative, especially since he chose the film - one outside the group of titles TCM owns, therefore more difficult to show - and is the reason you got to see it and have your opinion.
