The white trains were highly resistant to attack and unauthorized entry. They also offered a high degree of cargo protection in event of fire or serious accident. The possibility of something like this happening today is very unlikely since the trains were decommissioned after the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. In addition, the United States have given up making and using nuclear weapons after the Cold War.
Here is the problem from a realistic standpoint. Nuclear bombs are not transported with their nuclear trigger installed. and while there is a slim chance of the high explosive detonating, and actual nuclear detonation is not possible.

No emergency broadcast is going to explain *why* the bomb went off, they're going to tell people what to do now that it has. Still, if it was indeed for a school project, I hope they got a good grade on it because it's pretty good for what it is.

It never got off the ground because submarines did the job far better without making the entire US rail network into targets of a counterforce nuclear strike. Other then that, i believe trains are used to move warheads&missiles around to sites as its a very cheap way to move heavy things.
My only critique is that the volume for the alert tones needs to be lowered drastically or the announcer's voice needs to be increased, since it's too low when compared to the tone. I have to keep adjusting my volume to not get my ears blown out but still hear the announcer when not using headphones. Great story either way.
If this came on my tv or midland radio I would immediately pack up my valuables which includes my Xbox one X, my 50 inch tv, my pets, all my Xbox games, my custom built gaming computer and simulator rigs, my phone, and my gun, put it all in my Chevy Tahoe, and get the fuck out of Denver and race to Maryland to escape this bomb.

I like these videos they are terrifying. however I don’t see it is likely that an armed nuclear weapon would be fully assembled on a train. For safety The components wouldn’t be assembled rendering it harmless. I’m not expert though, it is still a possibility.

If and I must say this is very very unlikely. if the for what reason the bomb did reach nuclear detonation it would probably be a partial detonation the ods of a secondary explosion causing the detonation of the high exsplosives is so unlikely they cant be quantified they would have to activate within nano seconds of each other if not partial detonation could theoretically occur meaning a incomplete implosion of fissile material can result for a bomb of the size of 300 to 600kt in strength a partial detonation is defined as "a incomplete or off sync implosion of fissile material resulting is drastically reduced size of detonation" I.e 1 to 5 kilotons is range.
