Can you bake a normal map if your set your configuration to origin ? I just came from the setting up MPFB2. I guess I should have gone with this straight off the bat.
Hi, thank you for the tutorials. I can not find MakeSkin under "Create Assets" in the MH WebSite right now. Did you take it down or didn't you release it yet? I See MakeClothes and MakeTargets, but no MakeSkin.
The web sites are a bit messy. Can you paste the exact link you are looking at? If you are looking for a download link, you can find makeskin in this directory for example: files.makehumancommunity.org/plugins/ Links are also listed on the homepage at www.makehumancommunity.org/content/plugins.html
Can u make with this sculpt technique new characters? For example more cartooning, like goblins, gnomes, anime characters, etc...? And also adding new clothes for them and more personalized.
This particular technique can be used as a complement, However, you are better off using targets (ie character morphs) when doing large scale modifications. See for example www.makehumancommunity.org/target/orkifyhead.html of how it can look. Targets are created using the MakeTarget tool which is bundled with MPFB.
hm.. I tried this before, just blender without plugins and stand alone make human. But after I sculpted my high poly, some places were bigger than low poly. This gave me artifacts on normal map. basically on all my sculpt. I had to make a cage to bake normal.
Yes, that is often the case. If the modifications are larger than the projection distance, then the approach in this video is unsuitable. It is limited to modeling finer details.
That is a bit tricky to answer without any kind of background information. What happens? Is there an error message? What does the log say? The easiest way to move forward with this is if you go to github and make an issue report there: github.com/makehumancommunity/mpfb2/issues The issue report template includes a list of questions that can be answered in order to provide us with enough information to be able to help you.
Tell them to make me an offer... Joke aside, I'm thinking MPFB and MetaHuman has somewhat different focus. The goal with MPFB is to be a free and open platform that you can build on and use as you see fit, whereas MetaHuman is a closed and proprietary system with a many screen pages long EULA mostly listing things you're not allowed to do.
There are already covid masks and other medical masks in the downloadable asset packs. See download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman/asset_packs/masks02/index.html and download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman/asset_packs/masks01/index.html
Thank you very much for this wonderful tutorial
I think MPFB2 is better than MBLab because it allow more freedom of AGPL license.
Will the main MakeHuman application be updated as well, or has development for it closed?
The development of MakeHuman as such hasn't closed in any final way, but it is mainly focused on bug fixing right now.
